Two more bugs to report (if havent been so already)

- Autopilot ALt Hold (H) is now very twitchy since 1.2.5

All SFM planes seem to be broken with this autopilot mode.

- Dumping fuel command once turned on cant be switched off if landed while dumping fuel. In other words, you will continue dumping fuel while on the ground with no way of stopping it. The sound also persists.

Can you describe the Alt hold problem? I don't have any issues. It does pitch down initially but other than that it is fine.

Nate

You have described it already!

even when completely level and trimmed, it pitches down then up, then down before finally settling at the designated altitude, dropping and gaining tens of meters in the process... It has now become quite useless especially in formation flight.

Used to work flawlessly before 1.2.5

I see the same behavior in the Eagle, I will get something to the devs if it's not already known.

Here's a tip to deal with it in the meantime.

Before engaging any AP mode always set ATTITUDE HOLD first then make your selection, you'll find this bypasses the pitch down.

I will also look into the dumping fuel today.

S125, please try the same situation with MED PRF selected and your range reduced as your currently scanning at 128k for someone 7km in front of you!

Targets are approaching anyway. Medium is best for targets going away.

Yes and no...

The range on the mfd 128 has nothing to do with radar operation.

Whats been overlooked is the radar scan range.. yep. Thats the number in the bottom midle in the hud.

If you think that the target is closing in set freq to HI and incrace the scan range. I usualy have it 25-50 for recon

Read lock on manual radar olerations

Are you running an old mission? There have been problems earlier using old mission, that may still be there. Try the "Instant action" and se if you have the same problem.

mig 29 s still locks targets automatically in verticle scan mode

MIG29,SU27,SU33 all still auto lock in Vertical scan.

Manual Lock is required in Boresight.

Not sure what the real aircraft do but to me Auto lock in the ACM modes is preferable imo.

Delete the Input files from Saved Games folder, and let the game rebuild them that will fix it

Not sure I want to kuky I like it it the way it is :)

But just in case I do exactly what files to delete and in what folder/subfolders ?

Not keen in having to re keybind a lot of stuff.

You delete the Input folder for the specific aircraft only

...Saved Games/DCS World/Config/Input/"AIRCRAFT-FOLDER"

ie:

...Saved Games/DCS World/Config/Input/mig-29 (delete this whole folder)

then do the same for Su-27 and Su-33 (you can reuse same input files from mig-29 to other 2 versions as they are the same)

After trying deleting all the Input files and allowing a rebuild I got some unexpected view results not sure why. I suspect how I had assigned the View keys via my HOTAS. Anyway, I restored the previous settings and only deleted the keyboard.lua in:

Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\Aircraft type\keyboard

Then allowed DCS to rebuild only the Keyboard.lua file. This worked and now Vert Acq requires manual lock
