Tried every instant action missions.

 

Loading times between 50 to 75 seconds. More or less the same time as before. Usualy the first time i enter the game and load a mission takes longer than the rest.

Single Player, Create Fast Mission in GUI:

Gui loads immediately and mission is created without noticable delay.

Hit Fly.. module splash screen displays in 5 to 8 seconds.

Then, average 1min 55 seconds to 2 min. 10 seconds before mission loading progress bar appears.

Mission load time averages 30 seconds.

 

The time is takes from module splash screen to mission load progress bar appearing is approximately 2 to 2.5 times longer with this update. :(

 

Tried Fast missions for UH-1, A-10 and P-51D with results as above.

 

Also, I noticed that when mission finally loads and briefing screen appears, there is approximately a 5-7 second delay before game responds to commands and/or Track-IR input.

 

Once mission begins, all appears normal, i.e., as it was before update.

 

Anyone know how to back this update out and return to prior game config?

Glad I have seen this thread before launching DCS World, otherwise I would have gone ahead and selected to update. Think I will hold off a bit now... Hopefully they can do something soon to iron this out somewhat for you guys experiencing it.

And now Combined Arms won't install

 

I convinced a friend to buy Combined Arms and P-51. He downloaded DCS World and installed it (version 1.2.4.12913). It ran, automatically checked for updates, and updated to .14196. Then he tried to install CA, but it said it couldn't install CA 12913 into DCS World 41496. But no updater seems to exist to update CA to 14196. Where is the new version of CA?

I'm having this issue, and also the link to the Black Shark 2 upgrade download is the same as the Black Shark 2 regular. When I try to activate I'm getting an error.

Given all the posts I want to know if it would be wise not to update? But if not will I still be able to play multiplayer and do you reckon there will be a hot fix anytime soon? Seems to me there are mixed reviews about the update, but most people are saying it is causing problems.

Personally, I wouldn't update just yet, hang back until we hear if there's another update coming. I really do hope it's just another bug so it can be fixed, the load times on my system since the update are ridiculously slow, too slow in fact.

Doh! Bad luck on my part to come accross this thread AFTER having updated my DCS World. :(

 

Program loads fine, but a mission takes around 5 minutes to load. If I didn't crash so much, it wouldn't matter so much. :(

Make BACKUP* before you apply a update !

This should be common sense among DCS Users and save you a lot of time and sorrows when you have problems afterwards.

 

 

 

* Make a copy of your "DCS World" folder and rename it to "DCS World Before 1.2.4.14196.166" or similar.

 

I didn't updated up to now...

If someone (that has all modules installed) provides me with a Win-merge log of what exact files differ between 1.2.4.12913 and 1.2.4.14196.166 I would put together a Download that reverts the last update . - I have the time - I'm in my holidays.

Other question, please can you give me the version of the last version of DCS before to have installed your last upgrade "1.2.4.14196" ?

Hey guys

 

I cant find any information/patch notes about the update that was launched yesterday.

 

The only information I have is from my wing members that reports about slow DCS on start up. And like me, DCS world has stopped working.

 

One of the guys said that the game crashed when he tried singleplayer, but managed to get in to multiplayer after a 15 minute load time..

 

Loading time for me is long as well, around 30 seconds.

 

The game also seems very choppy.

 

Anyone else noticed anything?

Eversince the latest update two and a half minutes loading time instead of

20 seconds...

Russian language radio communications voices only...

/having been raised in Hungary i used to learn Russian, but unfortunately

it exceeds my knowledge/

Otherwise the game runs fine...
