The July 26th Wags Update! Thread

Recommended Posts

Updating our server now!

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring as someone who would convert over to Steam. I guess since it's F2P I'd just need to download DCS:W again through steam and add my keys in the module manager right?

They are, its just not the only thing there working on and just happens not to be done yet.

Really, its not as easy as flicking a switch whit a label on each side;

I don't know, the existence of this diagram is rather damning if you ask me. :suspect:

I count 6 clicks between broken and fixed. Does that indicate the average patches needed to get a problem fixed? :music_whistling::D

Have you guys actually seen how long it takes for steam to even release an update after the manufacturer puts one out? In one case, it was 2 weeks AFTER the manufacturer released the patch before steam updated it. I still think you will be better getting the patch through the auto updater at the slower speeds :)

Good idea to market all DCS products on steam, but why would anyone want to update using it?

I'm pretty sure it does not have to be like that. I have the Arma3 BETA dev build on steam and it's updated on a daily basis.

Kerbal Space Program just released an update and it was available on Steam immediately, two days in a row. Aside from the old DCS products, I rarely see a big delay between public releases and Steam updates.

it means the missile's spoofed most by rear shots, less by 3/9 shots, and least by head on shots. In other words, if you get any of the mentioned missiles in the face, chaffs won't do you any good.

dont know if anyone has mentioned it but id like to know what changes to the graphics were made. i dont know if its just me or exactly what it is but since the last patch dcs seems to look a lot better for me.

Glad you noticed as well. I wasn't sure about this myself. But yes the graphics look more crispy after the patch.

Did it actually change? Or is it just us?

Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.

When you use Steam as a Major Platform, you can hide the delays with smart scheduling.

They can Submit the update to steam a week before they actually post the Update Article or direct download on their site to keep everything in sync.

That is very true.

Infact that should be on the box.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
