RagnarDa Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 About the lack of era-true airplanes: aren't there like a ton of mods out there for other flight sims like Strike Fighter 2 etc? Adding a AI-plane takes probably not more than an afternoon, if you already have the 3D-model done... DCS AJS37 HACKERMAN There will always be bugs. If everything is a priority nothing is.
VanjaB Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 When is the F-86 due?? Im eager to fly a jet-plane with an AFM. The F15 is apparently pushed back to the middle of 2014, and the Mig21 is MIA....:(
Scrim Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 What F-15? You mean the F-18? I've read of both, but the F-15 really doesn't seem to have made much progress. As for the question, Soon TM.

McBlemmen Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Man that looks so good. Can't wait!! It will be interesting to eventually see dogfights with this plane VS the ME-262 (if that plane will get added in DCS:WWII. The kickstarter says so if they hit their mark but i havent seen anything else on it.) Either way its a beautifull airplane.

=Mac= Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I'll buy all of the above... I will buy any module that comes standard to DCS. Actually, I have already. Anything new (F-18!!!) I will buy. Some things, I have bought twice. I don't care what era a hifi study sim module comes from. I fly the P-51 every day just as I do the A-10C. I bought the Black Shark but don't fly it because, well, I can't get it off the ground well enough to be called flying it. But if DCS ever comes out with a Sopwith Camel or a Fokker Triplane, I'll fly them right along side my DCSF22. "Final Countdown" anyone? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080736/ The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

Trooper117 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 An F-86 and a Mig-15 would be a must have for me... I suspect that many would buy into a Korean war scenario... I love the idea of early jet warfare :)

OutOnTheOP Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Come to think of it, it's rather convenient that the P-51 (in F-51 guise) was still in service in Korea, making it a good choice to model, as it spans two conflicts. By the same logic, late-war F4Us and B-29s would make excellent additions to DCS...
