mpdugas Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 What business does the public have in what is a private discussion, which may involve business finance and contractual law? None. Sure. The public must always know everything, simply because it asks. Your wife has been sleeping around on you, but is looking to reconcile. I'm sure the absolute first thing you do run to Facebook and call her a harlot, and look for the public at large to talk the two of you through it. Thus, she leaves you permanently, for the fact that you are effectively tone deaf. And that contract you have with a guy- he breaks it. You can nail him, according to your lawyer, but instead, you run off to Yelp and downvote the hell out of him, and let the weight of the reviewers damage his business. Subsequently, your lawyer wants nothing to do with you, because you have undercut your own chances to win the case. It doesn't matter what you think you may bring to the table- it's not your business venture, thus it's not your (or anyone else's) business. Do you think that the only place that ED and Beczl Studio have to communicate with each other is a public forum on this BB? The MiG-21 forum was created by ED for us to talk directly to Beczl Studio about their DCS project. Doesn't public interest in a 3rd party project mean more money for ED? Do you really think they closed it so that we would not be privy to their private moments? I sincerely doubt that reason is why.
galagamo Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Actually, since Eagle Dynamics (and Beczl Studios for that matter) is a privately held corporation, the customer does not have any right to know why they do anything. I want the mig21 to come into fruition as much as the next guy but we just have to trust that it will happen. personally as a backer I feel entitled to whatever they have to offer, I purchased the Mig21 outright, and I want it, regardless of the dev teams quarrel. I simply dont care, just make it happen, finish it, or release what you have, so someone else can! Irregular programming Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That's really good news, let's hope they don't run into any other problems.
Scrim Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 There's not been a sound from the developers that things are back on track, so it's foolish to act like they are.
Davis0079 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 no wonder War thunder and World of Warplanes are getting awards for the best flight sims of all times (lol).. ...over there its "BUY, BUY, BUY, SPEND, SPEND, SPEND, PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!!!!"... ...over here its "SPEND, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT,get let down, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT, another let down, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT, WAIT,WAIT, WAIT,......." OK, I go now to crash my Huey into whats left of the Russian airforce....wish me luck....in finding them... It only takes two things to fly, Airspeed and Money.
Grim_Smiles Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 As much as I hate to say it, let's not get ahead of ourselves here and think victory yet. The removal of Beczl's press release on their site could just be damage control (if you remember they removed his post with the announcement before the eventual hiding of their board), doesn't mean that their issue is resolved. I'm hoping it is a good sign and that Cobra and Beczl will be giving us the all clear soon, but we have no clue yet if that is what will happen. Djent33 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The landing and takeoff speeds of the Mig-21 is what inspires me the most. This video is fine… it’s zoomed out and a bit experimental to see… but when you land SU-25 at 250 kph whilst looking at the length of the runway, and if 330 kph 180 knots, (flaps up) it looks fast for the normal procedures.
tonym Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 What has happened to Beczl Where has the thread gone re the Mig21 and the updates?
