+1. Just finished the campaign, it's really good, but the 330 KHz NDB not directing to Naqoura completely breaks the inmersion. I used openkneeboard with moving map to navigation, but please, yes, could you change the Naquora frequency to solve the issue? Thanks, I enjoyed the campaign a lot, specially the last missions.

the launch screen loads, but when the launch button is pressed DCS closes. (disappears from Task Manager). I rolled back Windows Update (which I had just completed) and did a complete repair of DCS from the Launch Screen. I use Malwarebytes (utilizing permissions) and not Windows Defender. What else can I try? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm requesting that we can make the search zone with the current circle option but also with a quad point option. The same as what we can do for trigger zones. Currently the AI option for (start enroute task > Search then engage in zone.) Is only a radius set up by distance in feet. For example if we are making a dedicated red air zone we could adjust the zone with quad point to be more accurate to a known zone vs a giant radius. This would also able to any AI with the search then engage in zone option.

That's not a F4u problem but rather all carrier aircraft experience this bug. ED acknowledged it already.

HI All, A bit of an update to my previous question on the 17th of June - below is my original problem/question. I also put this on the installation problem pages, so apologies if you see it twice but desperate for help Hi Guys, need a bit of advice. Old drive was getting full so could not add latest update. So just moved my DCS install to another drive (2TB SSD), used copy / paste as advised. Also moved the Saved games folder through windows process. And changed the shortcuts. All worked and can access DCS (takes a fair bit of time to load though). However is very laggy in VR and on triple screens (was not like this before). Went back and ran it from the original folder and works well as always. So checked again but still laggy on the moved install. Any suggestions or ideas on what this may be ?? Thanks Taffy So finally gave up on this after numerous trial and error checks / repair Slow and fast etc. So bit the bullet and did a re-install from scratch. So just installed the basic DCS World and downloaded the F/A 18 (nothing else and planned to go through a download by download process (all on a brand new 2TB external SSD). However just launched with the F/A 18 out of the Caucases ? .. and exactly the same fault as before. Laggy as hell just on triple screens (not even tried VR yet). So I seem to be back at square one with just the basic install and one aircraft. Had a look at the log file and quite a few errors and warnings. I am not capable of working out the protential problems, but have attached the log file if anyone can have a look and see what they think. Any help would be great as it's driving me insane (current system is Win 10, Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10900K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz, 32 GB Ram and a GTX 3080 graphics card) All of which work great with MSFS 2020 and iRacing) Thanks in advance. dcs - Copy.log

The B-1B when utilizing the Mk 82 AIR will actuate the retarder almost immediately on weapon separation causing the weapon's model to collide while inside the bomb bay. This will result in the loss of the aircraft. I have attempted multiple configurations, with only one bomb bay loaded, but the problem persists despite changing configuration. Setting the arming delay to 20 seconds, the maximum allowable on an M905 tail fuze, will not alleviate this issue. The F-14 being a two seater is the big question. Do you mesh with Jester? Do you have a human to sit in the RIO seat (or the pilot seat)? The F-14 is fantastic in a number of ways but I prefer single seat aircraft and as such have not used it as much as some other planes in complex missions. If you feel comfortable with a backseater, either AI or human, I'd certainly recommend it. The F-15 that is coming, with no timeline yet, will be similar while offering a single seater experience, so maybe consider that. The F1 and MiG-29 are pretty different being West vs East and a generation apart. The MiG has amazing performance and good missiles but is designed around less pilot autonomy which restricts how it can be used. The F1 isn't the best BVR fighter with shorter range less capable missiles. It's the most demanding to fly of the three as well. I wouldn't say that any of them are a bad choice, but the have their own pros and cons.

From a cold start the menu states. No power in red. This is what I get. There is no command to start. I fly from the pilot seat only. I use George to find me targets so I can engage them. So this update removes the players ability to startup form the pilot seat and have George work?

The NTTR map is basically abandoned and likely such old “tech” that the only way it gets the latest map features/tech is to start over. Although I would enjoy that. Especially if the map was expanded to include the UTTR up north and other key military locations that should be there now and the coast of cali I don’t see that happening.

Received the new dampers and cams yesterday. Installed the dampers with the FBW cams. My original Warthog stick is mounted directly to the AVA base, i.e., I do not use a stick extension. Been flying the F-16 now for 2 days with the new hardware. I have not been able to notice any discernable difference in the feel between the JET cams (that I was using previously) and the new FBW cams. I am sure there must be some difference in the feel with the different cams, but it did not jump out at me. The new dampers do give the stick a smoother, more fluid feel, which I do like. I tightened down the damper screws pretty good in order to get a good damper feel. I use the heavy springs with tension cranked to about 90% - same as I was using with the old stock dampers. Still playing around with the curves and dead zones (in DCS) to find the sweet spot for refueling the F-16. Have not quite got there yet. An FYI for anyone that might order this new hardware. The new screws in the packages that I received had a lot of blue locktite on them, to the extent that I could not even get close to fully tightening down the new hardware without fear of stripping the drive section (slot) on top of each screw. I had to soak the screws in alcohol and use a wire brush to remove most of the locktite so that the screws were useable. Conclusion: I would certainly recommend the dampers. However, I am not feeling any difference in the new FBW cams. Maybe if I kept swapping out the cams every 30-minutes, I might detect some difference, but that is more effort than I am willing to spend my time on to detect any marginal difference in the stick feel. Would like to hear from anyone else on their impression of the FBW cams.

Just confirming that with a VPforce FFB stick, with today's DCS patch installed, the 14's ACLS attempts a belly flop about a mile out. Also, does anyone else have the issue with the VPforce Rhino stick where the trim slams full over to one side and stays there during a landing unless you use the Override Trim option?

Can someone confirm is working? I can't make it work in rotorheads.. Can execute, but cant receive any data.

The Mirage F1 is basically 4 modules in one (once the F1-M is done) so bang for buck is big. Mig-29 may seem awesome, but early access is bound to have bugs and it could just collect dust due to frustration. I don't own the F14, I trial it every so often but have not purchased it. I'd say if you want to do naval stuff, F14 otherwise Mirage F1

Well, if it's BVR what you're after, go with the king, Tomcat + Phoenix combination. Con: you're not doing much radar wise, it's all down on Jester. Mirage F1 doesn't have a very capable radar so your experience will be limited. It has a very good SARH missile tho (the smaller one, can't remember the name). The FC MiG-29 is BVR capable but its systems are extremely simplified, like all FC planes. But it has a very interesting selection of R-27 variants.

In the pilot seat from a cold start the George AI menu states Ready System in red. Thats all I get. What is the new procedure to get George to work after a cold start. George.trk
