FPV Quadcopter Drone [v0.9.0 beta]
Tanuki44 replied to nibbylot's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
The destructive power of DCS seems to be the issue. Ex: I tested 3x AIM9 on CH47 or OH58, and they are hit but didn't crash... Is this only an issue with AI targets? ... I don't have the knowledge to say what is normal or not. -
Mission 11 Chemical Ally Mku 83 don't explode
Pyrocumulous replied to gonvise's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've been going in and changing the fusing every mission for this reason, and so far it's worked. I believe they have all, up to 11 anyway, had invalid fusing. -
nullAs of DCS 2.9.20.15384, there is no option to stop music. I also didn't see an F10 option for AWACS, but I was able to contact for bogey dope through the regular comms menu. Potentially the NVG Info option could be removed from the menu after refueling as there is no need for goggles past that point. I personally would have chosen high-drag bombs given the direction to come in low, but it given the low density of single-digit SAMs dropping from a reasonable altitude for low-drag bombs really wasn't a concern.

The speed limit inside the bubble (50 nm) and marshall stack is 250 (unless ordered otherwise). As soon as you depart the marshall stack you need to get at initial at 350 kts. It´s up to the aviator to get in inital at 350kts and 800 ft.

That's what I understood. Should be interactive Checklists.

I see you're running 560.94, the latest decent driver for pre 50 series is 566.36, so if you want you can try it later. Just for curiosity, have you tried also previous chipset drivers? Do you have another SSD in order to install DCS outside of C:? Just for curiosity, can you upload the screenshots of cpu, memory and disk usage graphs from DCS start to ctd?

great work! Cant wait to see more!

It is time for the first "Cold War Germany NATO Training Server (CWGNTS)" event: "RAMSTEIN STAFFED" is scheduled for November 22, 2025 at 1800Z. This is the first of hopefully many more events to happen in the CWGNTS community, and - being the first event in this community - it is intended as a small-scale ATC event, nothing too ambitious for now. "Ramstein Staffed", as the name implies, intends to have some relevant ATC stations at Ramstein and CRC LONESHIP staffed on November 22. Participating squadrons and single pilots will depart from Ramstein, fly their individual training missions, then return to Ramstein. It is not intended as a large force exercise event, those events will come later if this first CWGNTS event is successful (larger events like TAM or TLP are planned for the future). The idea here is to have ATC and mil traffic concentrated at one place and time and make pilots and ATC folks have a good time, listen to people on frequency and see some aircraft flying around, which is the basic concept behind CWGNTS. If you are interested in this event but not a member of the CWGNTS community yet, send a PM and get in touch with us. You can find additional information on the CWGNT here.

We get what we pay for. We pay for new modules, and the number of active modules is ever-increasing. Unfortunately, every module requires maintenance. But that maintenance requires manpower and manpower is costly. Impossible to finance all that work with one-time payments per module. So that maintenance is reduced to a level that produces more and more dissatisfaction. As long as we don't pay for maintenance we won't get much. I have bought 22 aircraft modules, not counting the ones in Flaming cliffs. But in reality I only fly about 6 or 7 of them more or less regularly. I would like those to be kept in shape and accept to pay a reasonable annual or monthly maintenance fee for maybe 6 of them. And I will be very reluctant to buy any more modules, no matter how enthusiastically they are welcomed by the community.

Oasis Driver now in Steam Store for windows mixed reality

Wait a minute, is this the J10C community on github?

Nice rotor head/blades blur effect/texture but the fuselage shine is too narrow and exaggerated now. On earlier screenshots the shiny fuselage - wider but less/soft reflection - looked better IMHO

Question about recommended RAM for CW Germany
- Sonic - replied to Ghostrider 147's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
Same problem: During an online test session on CW Germany's multiplayer maps, we all noticed a performance drop (stuttering, etc.) after about an hour. 10 players and about 800 ground objects saturated the server's RAM. Only when starting (loading) the map/mission did CW Germany reach at least 19-20 GB of RAM. -
reported Saved Games folder sound overrides not working in 2.9.15
ErwinRath replied to Nightstorm's topic in Sound Bugs
I found a somewhat cumbersome workaround for this bug: Start up DCS as normal Quit to desktop and make a change to the folder Saved Games/DCS/Mods/resources, put a file inside that folder to make it change in size Start up DCS again. Now you should have DCS read the files from the Saved Games/DCS/Sounds folder. If you compare the dcs.log files from the two startup procedures, you should find that in the second case the Saved Games folder\Sounds are loaded secondary, overwriting the RAM 2025-10-19 12:34:49.923 INFO SOUND (1240): Added sound path: ./Mods/aircraft/Bf-109K-4/Sounds 2025-10-19 12:34:50.442 INFO SOUND (Main): Added sound path: C:\Users\User\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Sounds -
Did I misunderstand or will the fancy new tablet also serve as a training system by giving you checklists and highlighting the actual cockpit items as you work through them? You could have really barebones training missions that are just "start your plane and fly from a to b using the checklists. Off you go".

I partially agree with you. The apparent perceived smaller size on objects when looking through a reduced FOV and without peripheral vision is a well known and documented effect. I think that this effect affects also the size of the objects in the distance, so I tend to think that the representation of the world is only percieved smaller, even though it might be accurate. I did a small experiment myself with eleven, the table tennis VR Game. In the beginning I always thought that the table was too small. I also had a real table in the cellar, so I made the experiment of adjusting the position of the virtual table so the center of the VR table would be coincidental with the real one. After doing that, I checked the corners in the virtual world by reaching with the VR Controllers, and they were exactly where the real corners were. To the millimeter. Even when the perception of the world was to be smaller, things in the virtual world were displayed with the real size. Since then, I never mess with the world scale. I highly doubt it since the v2.0 is coming and that new version is the one which I suspect and expect to be coming with all the new bell & whistles.
