  1. Past hour
  2. @CrazyGman Thank you, TIL. Worth noting is that you have to be in radar DUMMY mode, otherwise I couldn't get it to work
  3. Not necessarily, lowering latency will affect FPS. It's not the first thing people think of when looking at RAM, but it probably should be. Also, I did notice an average FPS boost after a RAM upgrade to 64GB, despite only a modest improvement in latency. Capacity does matter. I doubt expanding it further would help much, but it seems that below 64GB, DCS has to make some tradeoffs that pull FPS down.
  4. Yes. I rolled back my drivers and its been resolved. Nvidia hasn't acknowledge this but many people are having similar issues across various titles. Hopefully next game ready driver is better.
  5. Not sure if your post is in relation to OP or mine, so anyway; And yet, despite using AGR, INS drift affect(ed) the CCIP solution in the F-18. The chances are it's doing exactly the same in the F-16 are there.
  6. Well, I dial can still often be better way of displaying information then just raw numbers. Dials can let you see approximate value just by position of dial, speed of change, etc. Is that not more versatile and capable with higher workload? Agreed
  7. KKR-1 Pod Texturing in the process
  8. Disabled it, but no dice still. Here's the newest crash log. dcs.log-20251019-165852.zip
  9. Please remodel / skin the 51 to match the amazing visual level of detail in the 47 and F4U (and mig29). You just did that facelift for the F-5 please tackle the project for this warbird! thx in advance!

  10. THX, I did all the actions in the "ACTIONS" field one after each other, I'll try your mission later. Thx a lot! There's no possibilty to add the delay under the actions? Greetz Purzel
  11. Until the recent update ( 2.9.20.15384MT ) I was able to drop a helipad on the side of a hill for confined area landings. Now it says that the slope is too steep and it's unable to place the object. Previously I was able to place hillside objects but I can no longer do that.
  12. It's "Dumb" bombs, referring to no smart electronics like GPS or INS etc... Anyway, are you using TGP to lase before drop? it will help with accuracy of CCIP
  13. Did you check that your aircraft has good GPS signal and High system accuracy? But yes, there have been several reports in the past that CCIP has been buggy in the past. Chances are it's not fixed yet.
  14. You own a 4090 but the DxDiag Notes say "There is a problem with AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics device. For more information, search for 'graphics device driver error code 43'", quite strange... edterrain4.dll crashing with memory access violation seems a driver related issue, try with disabling the iGPU (integrated graphics).
  15. Today
  16. Is the issue with the CCIP "Dump Bombing" known? Since half a year, all "Dump Bombs" hitting a way too short if I am using the CCIP Mode. How far to short depends slightly on the dive Angle. The interesting part is, it differs from map to map. Caucasus: I can hit spot on (Instant Action, Caucasus, Free Flight). Germany: always 100+ feet too short. (Instant Action, Germany, Training Bomb drop).
  17. I ran it once during this troubleshooting process as admin. I got into the game both before and after that, and have wiped the saved games folder many times. No, I did not have that file, though creating it did not have any effect.
  19. thanks for the clarification zabuzard
  20. I have found a bug were the S-300 System is unable to intercept ATACMs from the Himars System fired from maximum range ..the "Flap Lid" TR turns at 20km (12 miles) left to target which is way to late at that rocket speed ..for comparison the Patriot is starting to intercepts Iskander-M at a distance of 70km (43 miles) at 126.000 ft Setting for the SAM was : ROE: Open fire Alarm state: Red Intercept dictance 100 attack missiles: yes Skill level: high or excellent S-300 dont see ATACAMS .trk Patriot systen comparison .trk S-300 vs ATACMs.acmi Patriot vs Iskander-M.acmi
  21. along with the others answers. i have noticed that sometimes when nvida adds some sort of new setting, an upgrade of the driver introduces weird issues. as stated, you can use DDU to remove everything related to the driver. then install the new one should get you sorted. also even though you likely made no changes after an upgrade of the driver, just taking note of your current settings, defaulting the driver state, and then re-adding your settings may clear it up.
  22. I found it. It was on Magnitude 3's Facebook post on Aug 14, describing the new changes in the update the previous day.
  23. No one makes FC level modules because the DCS brand is based on the FF modules. However we get posts like this which is the reason that say that killing MAC may have been a mistake. The basic line of thought was that if FC modules take less time to develop and have more market appeal, then as long as they share enough a development ecosystem then might be quite beneficial to the community to bring back MAC and make that the nothing but FC content and to leave FC as pure FF modules.
  24. For me, the biggest issue with DCS and VR is the EDGE Engine and the poor Core utilization. In VR, 99 % of my time in DCS I am CPU limited. The EDGE Engine is unable to switch the workload, even if some of the Cores are idling. I was switching from a 9800X3D to a 9950X3D 5 days ago. I was testing all the setting with Process Lasso. At first, the 9950X3D was slower if I was only playing 2D. In VR, the 9950X3D was surprisingly as fast as the 9800X3D. The CPU frame times were lower. It felt smoother. The reason why was, DCS was using both CCD of the 9950X3D. So I disabled the CCD1 without the 3D-Cache. And at this point, both CPUs are equal fast in 2D, but the 9950X3D was even faster in VR as before. At the end, I've raised the FPS (or lowered the frame time), with disabling the CCD1 with the 3D-cache by 10% in 2D and 10+ % in VR. But that's not the interesting part. The interesting part is the CPU frame time is now 50% lower! The whole Gameplay is much smoother. How the DCS World Engine is interacting with the Cores of each CPU is totally different. On the 9800X3D DCS is using the 3., 5., 14. and 15. (15 is a virtual Core) Core. On the 9950X3D DCS (@standard) is using the Core 1., 8., (CCD0) and Core 30 and 31 (CCD1, Core 31 is a virtual Core) If I am disabling CCD1 (without 3D-Cache), DCS is using Core 2 (virtual core) 14 and 15 (virtual core) the most. Core 1 is used a little bit by DCS. @ the end, it's all about the EDGE Engine, which is unable to use the Cores of "modern" CPU in a good way. It's not PIMAX, it's not us, it's all about the DCS World Engine! As long as a 5090 is limited 99 % of her time by a 16 core CPU, there is something strange going on with the Game-engine! I hope we will get Vulcan support soon.
