  1. Past hour
  2. I've ordered a PSVR2 from Amazon to see how it looks. It's arriving tomorrow.
  3. I am by no means expert on the weapon at all. So I cannot answer these questions (maybe someone else can). But these are points you have to consider if you are having a bad time hitting anything with them in-game and want to improve your experience. Once you kinda understand that they arent just "fire and forget" and put more thought into employing them, it will also work better
  4. I think it was to improve roll-rate. I can't think of any other flight dynamics benefit. The induced drag is smaller with rounded wingtips if I'm not mistaken (that's why the spit has them in the first place I guess). But I might be completely mistaken - that's out of my league to be honest.
  5. How does this work with radars that nominally rotate? By their very nature the Shrike will only be illuminated by the mainlobe a minority of the time and be illuminated by a sidelobe the majority of the time. The P-15/P-19 is what the Mark 37 specifically targets and that radar only rotates in DCS. Several of the guidance sections target the Bar Lock, which also nominally rotates (though we don't have that radar as a functional unit). But I can also get the Shrike to consistently track the 1S11 fire-control radar for the SA-6, the SOC radar of the 1S51 for the SA-8, the Tin Shield, the Big Bird (which is a phased array and will present small sidelobes). Of course the Shrike may still miss, but that's also the case regardless - the Shrike is still clearly observed tracking and making corrections all the way to impact, it just missed (usually as a result of it wasting energy due to bang-bang guidance, the inaccuracy of the bang-bang guidance itself and the lack of G-bias with everything but the Mk 49 Mod 1). IRL, the Shrike was used (albeit less than successfully) against an AN/TPS-43F in the Falklands, which also rotates.
  6. Those clipped-wing Spits (and the A6M3 Model 32) were clipped CONSIDERABLY more than the Corsair's.
  7. As already noted by others, the "T" stands for TAS or true airspeed or, in simple terms, your speed relative to the air mass you're flying through. In the Flanker, it's the same speed that's always present on the HDD's lower right corner regardless of whether you are in a NAV, A2A, or A2G mode.
  8. Швейцарский магазин находится в Швейцарии, а не в РФ. Он подчиняется швейцарскому законодательству.
  9. An actual realign isnt possible that easily and would require a lengthy procedure. It is possible to do a nav-fix though, similar to how you would do it in-flight when overflying a nav-fix waypoint. Jester support for that on the ground is in the works. That will only get rid of your current accumulated drift though, not realign anything. So you would accumulate new drift quickly again. The Jester Wheel already features an option to "upgrade" your alignment in case you for example didnt do a full alignment beforehand. Further options are in development.
  10. It was too low for Corsairs because the armoured deck, which was 4 inches thick, produced a lot of top weight, so it had to be as low as possible to maintain stability. This created a hangar much reduced in height from a US carrier. Luckily the wing tips could be removed. History might have been very different otherwise. ..
  11. This comes up from time to time in the wishlist: https://forum.dcs.world/forum/207-dcs-core-wish-list/
  12. During a quick turn/re-arming between sorties, is there a fast method to realign the INS while you're sitting there? Is there a way to tell Jester to do it, or do you have to shut down and restart to get an alignment? The drift can be significant after even one long flight. I don't know the WSO cockpit procedures. Thanks
  13. я подумал вы тролль, и начали гасить меня умными вопросами к счастью там не был, всю информацию черпаю из воспоминаний наших героев которые участвовали
  14. It's a game (with different shortcomings) either way. That's a pointless discussion. SP has its values, MP does too. (E.g. droping warheads on foreheads is not the only part of military aviation, I would dare to say it is the smallest. So if your interest is aviation - flying a particular aircraft in the first place - SP pretty much does the trick. (Personally I would love to see a proper ATC for that reason, but that's beside the point) I don't want to, but just food for thought: There several different ways to do muliplayer. Public servers (PvP OR PvE), private servers or even closed groups from 2 people upwards. How it goes depends pretty much on the people and what you're trying to achieve
  16. The development of the radar has been going on for a very long time. I am tired of waiting and have lost hope of seeing it
  17. Our F-16 3D model and textures are really showing their age compared to the latest modules. Some still feel we have a rushed and unfinished product on the artwork and 3D side of things. I hope that the reluctance to include community liverys is a sign that work is being done in house to improve things.
  18. That would be the best case scenario which I hope is true.
  19. Nachtfalke

    MFD

  20. What flanker0ne said, if not enough turn off ground shadows. The GPU has to render two (pilot view+VID) or three (pilot view+VID+IHADDS) different scenes at every frame, PNVS and TADS are also delayed, so it's a huge ammount of data to be processed. Don't know if it's possible to run video feeds at 1/2 or 1/3 FPS, it could be the best solution without lowering image quality.
  21. If it’s not already possible in the config files an easier solution would just be the ability to change the cursor size and color. Personally I have no trouble seeing this using TrackIR. My guess is that this issue is particular to VR given the small sweet spot of some HMDs but not head trackers in general. Also, welcome to DCS
  22. I tried Multiplayer for over a year, with a famous spanish virtual flight group, and you will never convince me that multiplayer is better than single player: I trust my own experience more than other people's sayings.
  23. Today
  24. Thanks. I think Cobra already contacted them and provided internal details :)
  25. You got it all wrong! DCS is irrefutable proof that Spheric Earthers are complete conspiracy nuts!
  26. Or these things take time to make and it's not like Wags is a full time video producer...
  27. " Rethink what DCS is. I dare you! " O.K. - DCS the Train Simulator ! Yes DCS Trains have a few bugs and if they can get fixed it will be great. Its good fun using the ready made DCS Maps as Very Nice Full Size Railway Layouts for the 3d Model Trains i make in Blender. I sometimes use the M.E. Scenery Removal Zone and place my own Buildings Sheds and Stations. You would think the Very Complicated Shay Locomotive with sideways cylinders would make DCS Crash but no problems were encountered. check out the interesting videos - bones animation and running in DCS Its now looking great doing realistic smoky work hauling sugar trains on Narrow Gauge Marianas WW2 Map ! Its Rewarding flying a Spitfire around looking for my Trains. Shay in DCS.flv SHAY LOCOMOTIVE bones ANIMATION 2 (3).flv
