  3. The process of tracking the target with the Lock on depressed with the sighting reticle on the target is to "build" the target motion/wind speed info/correction. (its kind of like the process with an LCOSS gunsight ... tracking time is required to build the solution/correction). When you release the lock on button the correction determined by the tracking process is then applied to the CCIP pipper .. thats why you see it move slightly. You then move the now wind/motion corrected CCIP to the target and pickle. the Russian manual states that you have 10 seconds from lock on release to pickle. After 10 seconds the wind/motion correction is removed and the solution is then back to being a nil wind/motion CCIP. The Russian manual also states that best accuracy is shown at 4 seconds after lock on release. To me that implies that the correction is actually washed out to zero at the 10 second point. Exactly the same thing happens with the CCRP/delayed CCIP solution its just the correction is applied to the steering circle and release point. In all cases in any bombing method on any platform smooth methodical flying is required to achieve the best results. Rough rushed handling just doesn't give the WCS a chance to do its thing properly.
  4. OpenKneeboard covers the majority of the use cases so all good there. The one in particular which was raised externally was the Vaicom kneeboard page however. This uses a bunch of lua code, although is displayed as another tab within the standard kneeboard, so not static content. Don't think OpenKneeboard handles that one unfortunately. I'll do some further testing around that one.
  5. You can pause the download. Just hit cancel and when you start updating again it will continue from where it left off. It can be confusing because because it will start at 0% again, but if you look at the total to download you'll see it's smaller than the original download amount.

  8. I agree with you, but I still think that the correct display of the visor should not depend on the IDP value. Personally, I usually move around 85, because of the greater depth. Of course, it also depends on each model, each aircraft is different...
  9. Su25T:BetAB 500 & BetAB 500shp Target: Static Ammunition dump placed north of Kobuleti town The first bomb falls just short however, it kills troops over 1000ft away. The second bomb finds its mark, it destroys the ammunition dump but has unexpected secondary damage as far as 1nm. It destroys some structures in the town of Ochkhamuri, and Kobuleti, it appears to be the same structures each time. I have tried with other aircraft, F18-GBU 31 / F16-GBU24 with different ordinance and not had the same effect, however I could reproduce with FC Mig 29 and BetAB-500, the booster BetAB-500shp version has the same effect.   10. Jazz, check the options in the mission editor. Under additional options for the group, ensure you don't have the INS simplified. If you have that set, you can not align the INS normally on a MP cold start and the HSI will be locked to North.
  11. When I turn the HUD to Night, the HUD turns yellow, when I turn it back to Day, it stays yellow. Does not go back to Day.

Do you know, in France we have an expression that say "parler anglais comme une vache espagnole" literally translated: speaking english like a spanish cow . I often use google translate to be sure that the words I'm writting is correctly writen. But french expressions are difficult to transpose in other languages. As I could imagine US or English expressions are difficult to translate directly in other languages. I can understand that this section if the forum should be in english only, and on my side I try to make my best to be understandable with my own knowledge and google translate. And I can also understand that foreign languages are sometimes hard to understand. Even when using translate apps or being on mobile phone, where it could be less comfortable to use translate tools. So keep in mind that, maybe @juanjo answerded to the post on his mobile and had the same difficulties to translate the post as those who were reading it, and would translate it on their mobile phone. Of course there is a spanish section, but he added some precious information for those, as me, hadn't saw the section about AERGES having acces to the Mirage F1-M simulator. @Ornithopter Don't apologise, as told, I can sense when it's off-beat humor (Google translation, which I hope is accurate enough), and I could feel after reading your second post that You weren't aggressive at all. .   14. So with it reacquiring why. Does the R27 through its speed gate open if the target is lost? More importantly though chaff should not be impacting a speed gate this bad it should be minimal. Speed gates are often only 10-15kts wide and chaff will fall out of that well before they bloom to an RCS that could be useful. Chaff slows down at 700-1200m/s if memory serves me right and bloom time is 2 or so sec to go to its full RCS. Even near the beam the drop off in speed is such that it should fall out of the speed gate in a fraction of a second.
  15. When the co-pilot in multiplayer adjusts the flexible sight, it causes the engine RPM to change unexpectedly. The RPM increases when the sight is lowered and decreases when it is raised. This rapid change in RPM can be severe enough to cause the rotor to detach. We confirmed this issue is tied to the co-pilot's actions by switching roles between pilot and co-pilot, and we were able to reproduce the problem easily.
  16. Attach your DCS log file in case it highlights any issues. I'd also recommend using https://github.com/fredemmott/XRFrameTools vs. fpsVR to test this out. You can export the results to a CSV file and then for the frame timings it will show other things happening at the same time which may identify the cause of the increase in those.

Mein Promblem ist , das ich nach dem hochfahren der Engine , die George KI nicht einschalten kann ( z.B. mit STRG V ). Siehe Screenshot Da steht nur " READY SYSTEMS " . Das gleiche Problem habe ich auch auf den Servern .
  18. You referring to using the Custom option for example in the PimaxPlay software? Have you tried the solution posted here, a lot of people prefer Mbucchia's Quad-Views-Foveated, and using Tallymouse companion app to configure the multipliers and focal areas. Note that you don't have to switch to using Mbucchia's Pimax OpenXR runtime for this and can continue to use PimaxPlay as the runtime, just ensure you disable Quad Views in PimaxPlay if doing so.
  19. Radar cross section is not affected by whether your radar is on or off. However I think your radar can be detected by enemy airplane RWR systems, and that will alert them to your presence. I'm not sure if ground targets can pick up your radar emissions though; I suspect they can't. It would be interesting to do some empirical testing on this.

  25. Чинук хоть и сырой в плане функционала, но даже в таком виде его оч приятно применять. Заценил вот автоматическое переключение с HSD на индикатор малых скоростей при выборе HSDH, на скоростях ниже 50 узлов. Удобно и то что на этой странице более наглядный индикатор вертикальной скорости.
