Recently I've been playing with the F-5E (FC version) for the first time and I'm now trying to use the CBU-52 cluster bombs and was going to report an issue with these same bombs when I stumbled across this thread and so, I decided to post here instead of creating a new thread. Basically CBU-52s are unusable since targets hit by their bomblets don't seem to get any damage at all. It's as if the bomblets don't do any damage at all. For instance I attach here the results of a release of two (2) GBU-52 where some of their bomblets hit 3 vehicles (SA-6 TELs) but absolutely no damage was done to the vehicles/TELs. By the way, this bombing was done by releasing the bombs at 6,000 ft (dive bombing pattern) while the vehicles were located themselves at a locating with an elevation of only 33 ft (almost sea level) so the problem shouldn't be not having enough time to fuse and I do see the bomblets explode using external view camera or looking outside the plane's canopy.
  3. I’m getting an annoying center on player command. It seems to be linked to the mouse, about every 3-6 clicks on the mouse makes the “center on player” happen. makes using the editor almost impossible. I cannot find any binds for “center on player besides the keyboard “C” key and o don’t think it’s a hardware issue with the keyboard as I don’t get any unintended keystrokes in any other applications.
  4. I remember that elevator trim in Mustang was very sensitive. Around a month ago I've noticed that it doesn't have any effect at all. Was there some recent update that messed it up? Does it work for you? My binding is working fine, I can see the knob turning, I can see the trim tab deflection. Just no impact on nose attitude... :(
  5. yeah, but the Mark Label button is janky, you gotta press it twice after placing a marker label. A key binding would hopefully negate the jankiness.
  6. I don’t know how ED will do a global map since they’ve said the streaming technology which would make that feasible isn’t affordable for them. And a map that size which needs to fit on your drive will look like something from 20 years ago.

  8. And you are aware that a water switch was introduced in an update? If water is not turned on the engine will happily boost to around 60 inches, but it will knock (the banging sound). I killed the engine a few times before I found the switch.

  13. Вопрос в том, что как в реале не будет точно. Потому что мы смотрим двумя глазами, а в игре у нас один глаз. Вроде в теме по хорнету был уже подобный спор. но чисто спортивного интереса ради, можно попробовать с угловыми размерами.
  14. Что бы говорить правильно или нет смоделирован размер индикации в новом модуле, нужно сравнить угловые размеры типовых элементов. Например цифры индикации высоты. Так как индикатор коллиматорный, то приближайся или отдаляйся от рамки ИЛС, угловой размер индикации останется неизменным. Раз уж ты часто глядишь в реальный ИЛС, то можно взять объект известных размеров, например такой же МиГ-29 стоящий напротив :), размах крыла известен, осталось измерить расстояние от точки наблюдения через ИЛС до объекта, и сопоставить размеры. Потом проделать то же самое в DCS. Путь сложный, проще найти документацию с подробным описанием ИЛС-31. Вот здесь указано лишь: Полное угловое поле зрения не менее 24 градусов Здесь тоже есть информация.

  17. In Cold War Vs F-4's with more modern weapons it will be fine. Just limit it to R-27R and R-60's. Will give it a slight edge in air to air, but not grossly so. In 80's contention. It's basically simliar to a M2000 though slightly better on the offensive side, and slightly worse on defense, but similar workload. One thing I'm expecting in cold war is a bunch of people doing ground attack in it since Red will now have a fast jet that can do CCIP. Even if with just dumb bombs and rockets It's going to be fine, in MP in my opinion.
  18. After ground repairs, the aircraft lowers on its landing gear and then tilts forward. Furthermore, the engine often stalls at idle after landing.

  20. Wow both of the video's that ASC have released on the Herky are awesome! I can't wait to use that checklist. On the landing video, it shows the workload in a muliti-crew environment, which I would love to get my skill set to be a useful crew member as demonstrated in the video, is there any single player video planned? Really looking forward to haul anything in it.
  21. It is too strong against gen 3, but too weak against gen 4. It is a gen 3.5 oddball; and with no datalink, no ARH missiles, and a crazy amount of pilot workload compared to the FC3 version, I don't think it will be a fan favorite in online servers. Personally, I'll be flying it exclusively in SP, just for appreciation.
  22. Yes. Fun effects are enabled the situation is fixed. Most likely it was a Moza update on their software. I can now feel gun effects and in general the FFB is much better
  23. Must be a Navy thing. We never did that in the Air Force. If you have external power connected there's no need to start the engines and then shut them down.
  24. I would not necessarily say that. I believe @BIGNEWYwhen he says he keeps putting it back on the teams todo list. We motion people are just a very small group so its somewhat understandable we wont be at the top of that list. We would be overly greatful for the fix non the less.
  25. Light visibility is indeed very important and the abrupt lack of rendering that can happen at certain distances is problematic for a number of reasons. I absolutely support more realistic lighting.
