Lacking the human skills you have to ask him want you want to do with the radar sometimes. There are multiple reasons why a target disappears from TID: it can get outside the set radar scan cone, it can maneuver so it either notches your radar or the speed difference is too low and the doppler filters it out, it can hide behind the mountain, explodes... Normally you set Master ARM On, master mode A2G, set your VDI to TV mode, ask Jester to select A2G weapon, then to find a target and to designate it. Same for the next target. If it doesn't work for you, we need more info or a short track.
  3. I loaded up an instant action mission on Marianas, hot on runway and got all the controls configured but the wheels are slightly sunk into the concrete and the plane won't move...any help? tks
  4. 100% reproduceable on my side, and here is the track. I have no mod, and the mission is from quick start and mission. 1, IAS, HSI are using English cockpit versions in Russion cockpit 2, HSI is not telling range 3, I have a clean installation without any mod, and this happen to all quick starts and missions.   7. I like the new visor very much (in VR, Vive Pro), and also the "wearing a helmet" feeling. I agree that he visor's edges could be more blurry. I do find it reasonable though to make it optional. The idea to link it to the pilot model is IMO good: if you have pilot model enabled, you get the peripheral helmet, if you have it disabled, you get just the visor tint if you "pull the visor down". Shouldn't we see a blurry oxygen mask?

  9. First of all, thank you so much for your update. Take your time but pls keep improve this amazing mod. The vietnam map will take years before seeing the light on DCS world because its a complex scenario, core and engine game need to be tailored on whats is need to be a perfet scenario and this takes a lot of time ( i model 3D Formula 1 cars on Assetto Corsa so i know something about gaming). BUT, in the meanwhile, we can enjoy a mini Vietnam, why not! The vibes are there. It's so immersive. It's like to be there. So after so long time keep improving why to stop? If DCS together with Current Hill can release the vietnam pack for the AI then BINGO! + a good campaign = big smile Sad to hear about Zipper. My deeply condolences.

  12. It's getting lame, this struggle with Windows and all that comes with it. I have moved away from MS as my #1 compute tool long ago, whenever I can I use Linux and/or Mac, avoiding my Win11-5900X gaming rig ( dual boot ) as much as I can, to be brutally honest. Linux is gaining popularity in the gaming sector, it may need a few more years to reach the tipping point but imho, that shift is colossal and will break many habits and it will happen, rather sooner than later. MS just gives soo much reaSON FOR IT TO HAPPEN THAT IT WILL. just my 2 cents asking my Glass Bowl. FYI: The last option I choose when it comes to upgrades and updates is reinstall the OS, with all those software licenses attached to my Workstation it is not that trivial and it's seldom needed, at least in my IT-Landscape. When you have a sleek system, yes, than you may install 11 in 10minutes, another 2h sorting pop-ups and you are good to go...with a highly configured system like mine with virtual machines, different VPN's, etc. etc.. it's a real PITA and takes days if not weeks....unless you have a working Backup that works for the need.
  13. Are you giving IR missiles the required 60 seconds to cool down? In this video it takes 60 seconds from mission start before the R-60s receive launch authorisation. After firing them all off the first reload happens at 14:01:14 - but I have to wait until 14:02:16 before the missiles become live. inf wpn test.trk
  14. It's ok now, update inside, I'll look at the new files this week-end. Hoe i'll be able ot update the mod, this will take time to make test to be sure it will be ready for sharing it.

  16. Hi, I’ve started a new video series where I show the effects of most graphics settings in DCS World — both visually and in terms of performance. In this first test, I made six different setups on the Syria map — daytime at 08:00 with scattered clouds. This video shows the first scenario: an AI-controlled F-15 heading toward Beirut at 30,000 feet.   19. I wouldn't consider the RWR to have an "Effective Range"......regardless of what the emitter is, if THAT has enough range to emit radar that hits the F16 RWR, it will show up. RW Receivers are on both Front and back of the F16 with blind spots on top and bottom. Remember, the RWR is a Receiver...not an emitter. Looks like the receiver supports scanning in the 6-20GHZ Low/High band ranges. As far as Emitter support, I would guess anything in DCS with an active radar would show up whether identified or Unknown. If you are looking for a list, check the F16 Manual page 594.
  20. In addition to AGR, the TGP should be involved as well. I recall this issue (bombs falling short) predating the ATP, so that is not likely a culprit. Incidentally, strafing works AOK. If Bignewy is willing to follow this thread, we should try to be systematic and get some tracks. I'm happy to get some tracks together. Would it make sense to build a quick "test mission" with some targets that we could all try to hit with some predefined parameters? -Ryan
  21. So a blur is the bare minimum in my opinion, keeping it sharp is actually a bug and neither adds to the realism nor helps anybody else. Personally I don't see a reason NOT to add the option to either disable the 3d model or even the tint. It's not like a competitive video game where everybudy must play the exact same settings. Some people like using the pilot body for example, others don't. Just give us the option, nobody loses in that case.
  22. It doesn't. It only touches what is changed with the patch or it fixes back to original files any deleted or modified base files.
  23. 212GB this time - less than last update Size doesn't concern me, but I would appreciate it to not update all missions, campaign, training, quickstart files in mods/aircraft folder with each update, at least make it optional please.
