Holy thread revival! Thanks for the info though.

I'm fine using trim in every other DCS 'copter I have - Huey, AH-64D and MI-8 but I cannot seem to trim the Chinook for level flight above 140 knots or so or around >50% throttle. When I'm less than 140, I use the CD REL around the attitude I want and then adjust with trim hat, everything's great. Above 140, I do the same and the aircraft pitches hard in the direction I am trimming - if I'm trimming down, it does a nose dive; trimming up it goes nose high. It will stay in trim at a climb rate of ~1k, this gets worse the more power is added. If I just use my joystick, I can find a position at that speed where I am level with out many micro adjustments, but as soon as I hit CD REL, it pitches. I've about tried everything at this point: instant vs center trim, holding and releasing vs pressing trim when in position, various combination of trim hat and CD REL etc. EA bug or am I not understanding something about the 'copter/flight computer? Thanks for any assistance

It would be a good idea to be able to turn off this animation. I'm afraid it might give you a headache in VR . Shimmering manifests itself as a flickering effect that's always visible out of the corner of your eye, and it's not a pleasant experience. Of course, we'll see it once the model arrives, and then we can judge.

Question - What is it? (next to HUD)

ACH-47F - Fictional Mod based on CH-47F
H60MTI replied to ANDR0ID's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I know you said the M134 would crash on the #2 side of the bird if fired but is it able to be equipped if just using the aircraft for airfield mockup or is it completely locked out? -

You are working with an actual Moose version? -
ACH-47F - Fictional Mod based on CH-47F

Would this be usable with the MH-47 attachments mod to get a visually accurate MH-47G for some good old fashioned SOAR missions? - Today

Probably could do a Tornado F3 or Brit Harrier.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!

Thanks! That helped a lot with the Scorpion Helmet overlay in the A-10C2 and I think it stopped the targeting pod being fuzzt when scrolling around. -
Ka-50 III - ADF Plate channels and names
Foxtrot1960 replied to Foxtrot1960's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark 3
Kneeboard?... Indeed! That's what I do actually, but I would like to have the plate working as I said; mainly for stuff not present in the beacon.lua file or eaven in the map, like FARPs with mobile NDBs. This sounds like a challange for the community . -

F-16 Display Readability
Archangel44 replied to Nightstorm's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Nightstorm, To answer the above posters question, I found a workable thing but incorporating other hud colors, but to keep it vanilla, it is easy enough. Check out the changes to the lua file I made, you can make changes comparing it the DCS vanilla and perhaps make something to download for those that want a better visualization of the vanilla DCS hud. Just scroll through the posts and you will see my post of the lua file and a later download of the lua file I modified to my liking. -

Please, can we have the manual/QS guide before the release?
AeriaGloria replied to LordOrion's topic in Wish List
When it’s available I’m sure it will be shared on the front page. The FC3 manual won’t help. -
Fun fact, the prisms require their own heaters.

The trim actuators cover a set range. The ARU adjusts the control authority through speed and altitude. With that system active, I would think it only stay the same at high altitude where the ARU stays in “easy” or full authority mode.
-
Could be, or just a carry over from fc3.. I’d think the trim rate would vary with altitude and speed.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Zligor replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
...and what means that eye tracking runs faster on quest pro when conected to routher via ethernet cable(VD) , then on quest link connection. -
Thank you for the suggestions. I finally had a chance to follow your suggested fixes. I set the game launch to DCS inside bin I cleared metashaders2 and fxo folders from /user /savedgames / dcs (or something very close to that path) I then attempted to run DCS with DFR from pimax play and now it hangs right as the cockpit textures start to load (I was trying the instant action for f14 BFM cat and eagle) I dont get a crash report but it does appear to freeze and shows no sign of unfreezing. I ran slow repair that did not change anything (did find some dlss files that it put in a backup folder I tried using the bin mt exe that made no change. This did for sure change how it acts... But it made it worse still seems to load okay with DFR turned off in pimax play. Thanks!

If it can pull 9 G at 900 kmh, that’s 20 deg/s flat. For any EM chart, it is where 9 G and 20 deg/s intersect, a hair above Mach 0.75 at ground level

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Qcumber replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
Could you please elaborate? In what ways is it better? I am genuinely interested in if it is worth getting one. How does visual quality compare? And comfort? -
I used model viewer to turn the light on without the switch.
