ONLY FOR V1.0.2 ########### Attack on Krymsk ########### The objective of this mission is to destroy the three towers and hangars at the enemy airfield. Once all the SAMs are destroyed, the attack on the airbase will be lead by SU-25’s. Our artillery will attack the southern tower and mark their positions with smoke. We expect that the enemy tanks on the airfield will attempt to attack our artillery. Despite this threat, our artillery will be protected and supported by tanks who will take part in the offensive. Several fuel trucks of major tactical importance are parked on the airfield. It is expected that these trucks will attempt to escape via convoy as soon as the airfield has been abandoned. Prevent this convoy from escaping. Supporting ground units are stationed in the north and are expected to support the airfield. If SAMs are located between these units, they must be destroyed so the final airstrikes can be launched. ############## Black Gold of Anapa ############## Over the last months the INOCO (India Oil Company) has evolved into one of the largest competitors to ARAMCO (Arabian-American Oil Company). After an extended legal dispute regarding the oil-production and oil-refinery in Anapa, the INOCO has decided to take the initiative. Apparently, they bribed a General of the Russian Army to obtain access to military equipment and have built their own private army from these resources. While the exact strength and size of this army is unknown, the INOCO was able to force Anapa and its surrounding areas to submit to their control. It is our job to ease the pressure between both sides in this delicate situation. ######### Convoyhunting ######### We are in a canyon surrounded by enemy SAMs. The enemy has taken control of our forward FARP#2 and the neighboring villages. An approaching enemy convoy was spotted behind the canyon. The convoy is transporting small parts and propellants to produce missiles at the weapon factory in Mestia. ############ Defense of Batumi ############ Our airfield is under attack by artillery from the southwest. Destroy both the artillery and the incoming tanks from the southwest and east. Check all bridges in the area of enemy units. ############### Defense of Gelendzhik ############### Satellite intelligence reveals that the enemy has used the darkness of night to advance to a position dangerously close to our airbase. They have established a FARP behind the hills to the southeast and are operating from this position. An enemy artillery position has recently been located southeast of our airbase. We fear that they might attack at the break of dawn. They will probably target our two oiltankers in the bay of Gelendzhik. We will attempt a preemptive attack on their FARP to prevent them from launching their own attack against our assets. ######### Gudauta Rush ######### Enemy troops crossed the border a few days ago. They overran Gudauta-airport and are occupying the area. Four hostile HAWK-sites are located in the mountains north of Gudauta. The sites are controlling the airspace around Gudauta. The strength of our ground forces is extremely limited due to fierce combat at the airbase. The majority of hostile tank forces are located north of Gudauta (Satelite picture), where they are awaiting urgent fuel and munitions delivery. We have intel that reinforcements for these forces are on the way. One Il-76 "Candid" currently departed Sochi-Adler and will arrive at Gudauta. We expect that an armored supply-convoy will advance from the airport to the tank-forces. The convoy has to be destroyed before it arrives to reinforce the tank forces! Operation "Gudauta-Rush" is underway! First we have to achieve air-superiority and conduct large airstrikes on enemy ground units. As soon as the route to Gudauta has been cleared our ground task force "Stryker" will depart and occupy Gudauta airport. ########## Hamburger Hill ########## Over the course of several decades, tensions between the USA and Russia have increased dramatically. Both adversaries have concentrated their troops at the border. The USA stationed several fighter squadrons at the airport of Nalchik and established a "FARP Torba" near the border river. The USA intends to provide security to the regions surrounding their airbase. Russia has answered with an equal number of aircraft, all of which are stationed at the airport of Mineralnye Vody. In addition, their FARP Kalitka was constructed close to the border river as well. It's just a matter of time until this volatile situation will escalate into a full scale armed conflict... ######## HINDnapping ######## To monitor and eliminate rebel activity in the area, we established a forward FARP as a base of operations for four HINDs (Mi-24v). The area characterized by rebel activity is marked red in the ABRIS. Our intelligence reports an increasing rebel threat in the region. We fear that the hunter will be the hunted and the rebels will attack our forward FARP. ########### NightHawkHunter ########### Four enemy F-117 Nighthawks were damaged in combat and were forced to conduct emergency landings at the airport Nalchik. The F-117's are waiting for spare parts to arrive. With intent to destroy the F-117's, we have found a loophole allowing us to bypass the airport defenses. The airfield is protected by three HAWK-positions, rendering an attack by aircraft impossible. However, two of the three HAWK-positions only cover the airspace 150m above the deck. If we destroy the third HAWK-position, we can fly below their radar and attack the airport. The mission is divided into two phases. Phase 1: - Destroy the third HAWK-position and set up an advanced service point to rearm and refuel. Phase 2: - Approach the airport Nalchik and destroy the four F-117 Nighthawks. ############ Operation Bigfoot ############ Enemy troops crossed the border and are operating from four camps situated high in the mountains. In these camps, HAWK sites were constructed to control the airspace surrounding the camps. During the night, enemy forces moved forward and seized more terrain. We expect the enemy to advance even further, ultiamtely aiming to capture a strategically important chemical plant. Our task force "Hero" will depart the airfield "Mineralnye Vody" in a few minutes to defend the chemical plant. You must hold the enemy units back until the task force arrives. ############ Operation Pushback ############ A few days ago, the enemy crossed the border and advanced into the city of Alakhadzy, located just north of the river. By taking the city, the enemy is dangerously close to our FARP. The river is their last obstacle and the only remaining bridge was seized by the enemy. Our troops are ready to counterattack. ############# Operation Umbrella ############# According to recent intelligence, a large enemy tank-division is currently garrisoned in a base south of Krasnodar. If we manage to destroy this tank division, the tide of the war will be turned in our favor. The base is protected by a network of Early Warning Radar (EWR) systems called "Umbrella". Because of these installations, we cannot send in an airplane undetected. Ground troops are too slow and ineffective in the rough terrain, rendering them useless for destroying the tank division. To defeat these defenses, we need a NOE (Nap of the Earth) flight profile that will allow us to advance on their positions undetected and thus maintain the element of surprise. The enemy knows of our Ka-50 fleet and assumes that they are not properly equipped for night missions. Despite their assumption, our night vision capabilities will teach them a lesson when we catch them with their pants down! The enemy will never expect a night attack! The attack will have two phases: Phase 1: - Sneak in close to the "Umbrella"-EWR-stations and destroy the installations. Phase 2: - Advance into the enemy territory and destroy the tank-division. ##### Outpost ##### We established a FARP northwest of Majkop. Inteligence reports that the enemy will attempt to push us back to Majkop, hence overrunning our newly established FARP. To monitor enemy movement in the area, we have stationed four outposts to the north. ########### Rookie Terrorists ########### Yesterday, a group of local militia assaulted and captured a delivery of discarded military vehicles. Several BRDM, MTLB and T-55 have fallen into enemies hands, among them five Stinger-MANPADs. Two days ago, this same group also captured six red-blue trucks loaded with explosives. They have recently declared themselves as a terrorist organization and have threatened to use these trucks in an upcoming bomb attack. We must find and destroy these trucks before they can be used as terrorist weapons. Our intelligence has located the terrorist camp near a mountain lake. The road leading to the camp features six bridges that have been turned into terrorist checkpoints with the stolen military equipment. ########### Hardcore Terrorists ########### Three days ago the mission "RookieTerrorists" was initiated but failed to accomplish its objectives. A group of local militia captured and stole numerous military vehicles and explosive-rigged, red-blue transport trucks. After acquiring a substantial military force, they declared themselves as a terrorist organization and have threatened to use their explosive-rigged trucks for a terrorist attack. We tried to find and destroy these explosive trucks before they can be used against us in a terrorist attack. Intelligence indicates that the terrorists have established an encampment near a lake in the mountains. To defend their outpost, the terrorists established armed checkpoints at six bridges that run along a road leading to the camp. We initiated an assault on these positions but our forces were forced to retreat. Our FARP was later overran after our ground forces retreated to a safer location. We underestimated the enemy but this will never happen again!

  6. Well, to be blunt, that's just your opinion. Not all of us fly online. Some just take the online community for what it is in the way of help and pre-designed missions and all that. Not everyone wants to have to go online to play the game. Subsequently, not everyone will feel the game would benefit more from an addition that would only be useful for online activity and wouldn't add anything to the offline part of the game. -Z

  9. what file format do you guys need? If you can use mp4--that is essentially what the download file is--just change extension to .mp4 Mower--not sure if your blackberry is sophisticated enough to play audio files. hehe

  10. No. The difference between XP and 9x line is that 9x line is a 16/32bit hybrid OS that work as an extention of the underlaying dos core. Dos core was written in basic. That's the reason while you can boot back to dos in 9x line and not in NT line. XP uses NT 5.1 Kernel. NT is written solely in C/C++, is a pure 32bit OS, and is not based on dos. It is a totaly different OS architecture. You can take XP as a next step in 9x line only if you take it from the aimed market perspective (home users). Source wise is XP core is based on the NT line. XP and 2000 are much much much closer than XP and 98. XP was also the sucessor of 2000 in the market of workstations.

  23. ДИСС прогреть надо. Высота далеко не любая для ДИССа годится: минимум 4 метра (лучше чуть выше), максимум вроде метров 300. Директорный режим выключить не забудь. Стабилизатор высоты к радиовысотомеру привязан должен быть, а не к баро. И ещё, надо перезависнуть в сторонке: зажал триммер, переехал туда, отпустил - висишь на новом месте. Замечал, что есть разница над чем зависать, над морем, над полем или над городом. Там постройки влияют на радиовысотомер.

  24. Some of this is already built-in to the game. For example, there is not a specific keypress that is set to increase the zoom level of the TGP or switch to the next steerpoint. Instead, the keypress is for the Data Management Switch itself. If the TGP is the SOI, then the keypress that corresponds to DMS Forward will make the TGP zoom in. However, if the HUD is the SOI, then that same keypress increments the steerpoint.

  25. If you lock and lase a target the left pod is always first to fire. If you for example fire off your first vikhr (left pod), reset shkval, uncage shkval, lock, lase and fire you will be firing from the left pod again. The sequential order of which vikhrs should fire seems to be reset when the shkval is reset.

Some may think money grow on trees. $382 billions of dollars!! Who's gonna pay for that? As of today, the poverty level in USA is the highest since the records started being taken. In addition, quote: Food Stamp Usage Across the Country The number of food stamp recipients has climbed by about 10 million over the past two years, resulting in a program that now feeds 1 in 8 Americans and nearly 1 in 4 children. End of quote. I don't think it is prudent to spend so much money on ONE military program while there are other problems (read above) we need to take care about.

I've been playing F1 few years back and have done some rFactor also and I think F1 driving is one of the most demanding sports ever as you need to be on your 100% concentration all of the time... and that is really really tiring and exausting and not everyone can do it. I want to be good at anything I do and this is no different and because it is so hard to be good I don't stick to it for long (I hate when I suck at something so I just leave it :D) About this F1 2010 the graphics are really amaising but having seen some videos I doubt physics are modeled well at all.. and my first assumption that it would be like that is because it will be available for Playstationa nd Xbox. I lik rFactor because it is closer to reality and you have to drive as such... you need to know how a real car can handle the road in order to be any good.

  28. I used to love formula one; but got totally tired of the manipulative and dirty side of f-1. Things like letting your team mate pass you just because he is a bit faster than you; and has more points than you totally ruin the sport. The Renault incident and Mclaren espionage are clear examples of how unethical formula 1 has become. F1 is supposed to be a competition not a personality contest; Ayrton Senna said before; if you are not willing to fight for the first place; don't compete. I also got tired of x driver get the pole; x driver wins if he doesn't make a bad mistake since he's got the bets car. Got tired of watching pit-crews win positions instead of the drivers. Got tired of drivers not fighting for the fist place since it is to risky to pass the guy in front. Monaco is cool but it is almost impossible to see passings if you don't have crazy people like the old school drivers. A lot of people consider f-1 drivers the best drivers in the world; to me this is not 100% true; I would rather see crazy rally drivers beat the crap out of their cars without even knowing the road, that to me is much more exiting impressive than f-1.

По моему скромному убеждению в игре весьма слабо реализованна идея радиоэлектронной борьбы самолетов фронтовой авиации. Отсутствие противорадиолокационных (ПРЛ) ракет типа С-5П1,С-8П, ПРЛ пушечных снарядов ПРЛ-АМ-ГШ-23 (СППУ-22) и работа станции активных помех СПС-141МВГ("Гвоздика") которая сводится лишь только включением общей помехи, снижает возможности авиации и приводит усиления ЗРК в игре. Вот для примера станция СПС-141М излучает комплекс помех в зависимости от того какая РЛС ее облучает: УД+ВО(уводящая по дальности+выделенная огибающая),УД+СЧС(уводящая по дальности+скользящая частота сканирования),УС+СЧС(уводящая по скорости+скользящая частота сканирования),МП+ДШ(мерцающая помеха+доплеровский шум),ППП(перенацеливающая на подстилающую поверхность). Далее, при захвате РЛС сомолета выстреливаются ПРЛ ракеты или снаряды и выполняется маневр уклонения. В игре всего эток сожелению не реализованно. Применяя индивидуальные средства РЭБ можно было бы расширить возможности фронтовой авиации в игре и тем самым расширить тактические приемы по преодолению ПВО противника.Ваше мнение?

  35. I have no idea what the first post is about, but the "mod" on the youtube video is made by me. It is a little project I have been working on a bit for a while now (rendering a custom cockpit). Most of the actual hornet cockpit functionality is missing, wrong or incomplete including most of the mfd pages, almost all of the switches/knobs do nothing, radar, rwr, navigation etc. do not work and so on. The cockpit is rendered and handled using a D3D hook, basically the original cockpit is hidden and another model is drawn instead. All the switch actions and mfd/hud rendering is done in the lua exports script. It doesn't use anything from Black Shark so that is why the behaviour probably is a bit different in many places. The base cockpit model is made by another guy, it is intended for ArmA 2 which is why the detail level isn't on the typical flight sim level (also my renderer doesn't at least yet handle normal- or specular maps and the FC2 lighting is not very suitable for it), though I have added some more detail in the side panels and some other switches/buttons. I dont know if it ever will be in any kind of "complete" state, it depends on how much free time I have and how long I have interest to keep working on it. What is possible is also severely limited by what is offered by the exports interface so many systems are very difficult to get to function at all.

SENAKI (Tshakaya) Destroyed all amor/trucks/ammo FOX Destroyed all amor (Initially a message that re-inforcements are coming, nothing appears, finally message that corridoor is open) KUTAISI Destroyed all amor/trucks/ammo BULLSEYE Destroyed all amor/trucks/ammo (Half way through a message appears that (Bullseye has significant damage) CAT Destroyed all amor (Initially a message that re-inforcements are coming, I think that is the column that appears to the north about 5 km, finally message that corridoor is open) Message that convoy is at SWORD and we must protect it. We (3x ka50 and 1x su-27) protected the convoy as it went south to SWORD, then turned back and followed the mountain base to the West side, then it stopped when it met another column. Nothing else happened. BERMUDA Destroyed all enemy madpads, at least 8-12. BERMUDA Destroyed column north of CAT BERMUDA Destroyed column north of BULLSEYE After this, we could fly throughout the Triangle without danger LAUITURI Destroyed all amor Re-Searched for another 3 hours FOX, BULLS & CAT looking for any enemy vehicles. Here is a picture of the search pattern of each blue box. Picture I searched these twice, twice in my A/C and twice in free-cam. Destroyed all remaining masts at FOX and BULLS. During this time (about 11 hours) Blue only managed to defeat, CLUB, MACE and about 85% of Axe. A couple Red air defense remained at Axe, and SWORD was about 98% intact. The Red convoy from SWORD that stopped was still 95% intact. (Only lost a couple vehicles) So I ask Where is the FOX re-inforcements? We really scoured that area and found no re-inforcements. Why does the Red convoy that passes throughout SWORD just stop? What trigger am I missing? NB: The reason I/we destroyed Senaki, Kutaisi, Luituri and all enemy in the Bermuda Triangle was so our fighter CAP could stay close and look after us. Also because we could not find anything else to destroy. ------------------------------------------- ok, and now some constructive critique :) The messages, 'incoming message' and 'communication' at first was interesting, but after a few hours it sounds a bit repetative and 'fake'. The static noise is nicer and a bit more 'raw' The battle is quite centred around the triangle. Yes that was a good idea, and the battle scene gets very intense. So intense that sometimes enemy planes are flying past me and don't even see me. But with all the multiplayer centred in one place, the frame rate drops significantly when theres more than 15 people. Normally I get approx, 40-55 FPS in Moonshield etc, but Rebellion leaves me with about 20-30fps. I know that's not your fault as I am CPU bound, but I'm just letting you know because others have said their frame rate drops to. It seems that Red fighters and especially su-25t have a really long way to travel comparatively to Blue. I do not have lock-on so I can't really say more than that or make any suggestions. The A-10 only needs to travel a few km and can afford to get shot down, but the su-25t takes a long time to get there. Granted this is sort of balanced by the ka50 FARP being nice and close, but with little CAP the ka50 is hammered many times. Maybe ppl should utilise the su27 ground atack more.
