Наверное оффтоп, но хотелось бы немного защитить ED - есть куча умирающих проектов, типа той же Elite Dangerous где дело не в графике, каких то трудностях у девелоперов, нет, просто разрабы как бараны упёрлись рогом, что геймплей должен быть таким, как они видят, баланс - как они видят, сомнительные механики? Не вздумайте даже пискнуть что вам не нравится, а предлагающим их вырезать - расстрел! Те же Space Engineers, просит комьюнити разрабов ввести пару мелочей типа энергощитов пузырём и саморемонт, а в ответ просто истерика от девелоперов "вы что! у нас 2077й год! вот когда в 2077 это изобретут тогда и приходите! даже не думайте предложить плюнуть на цифру 2077!!!" И вот смотрим за эти годы на DCS - за хотелками нашими следят, мультиэкипажные машины дали, хотя когда то, я хорошо помню, утверждалось, что идея переключения между членами экипажа, сомнительна и нереалистична. Постоянно появляются новые механики и машины, графика и движок поддерживаются на современном уровне. Разрабы твёрдо следуют курсом именно на симулятор и реализм, спокойно игнорируя бредовые призывы домашних мазохистов, сделать донатную помойку типа быдлотанков и тп. Всё весьма и весьма неплохо. Региональные цены бы разве что...8 points

Я реалист. Повышение требований со временем совершенно понятно. Вот только тут дело не в каком-то планомерном и оправданном повышении требований, а в неадекватной работе игры после обновлений. Я про это писал уже. И не только я. У меня система не устарела, я компьютер новый купил. Прирост производительности получил, а вот добиться стабильной нормальной работы DCS, которая была бы в удовольствие, не могу. В какой-то момент показалось, что вопросы решил, но постоянно какая-то дерготня вылазит, не в одном, так в другом. Честно говоря, тоже уже настроение - "вилы в землю"! Отложил игру, не знаю насколько. Уже пожалел, что сделал предзаказ Фантома после обновления железа. Ибо толку? Просто надоела уже "игра в настройки" и постоянные "открытия" нового в области работы системы. Сколько можно уже? Подружите игру с Виндовс наконец. Другим разработчикам как-то удается. Присоединяюсь к пожеланию. Всё.6 points

Тут нужно быть реалистом. Никогда за всю историю разработки системные требования не понижались. Это касается не только DCS, но подавляющего большинства проектов в геймдеве. Если система устарела, то она уже не сможет тянуть игру. Все.6 points

Different mission, different design, different time. You could also say there's a reason why the F-15 isn't launched from carrier decks, goes Mach 3, or has swing-wing capability. It was never designed for it, and there was never a need for it. The F-14 was also going to carry the AIM-120 (if the budget had been approved), but that doesn't mean it would have given up the AIM-54 (or its planned successors). The Tomcat was literally designed for the Phoenix, and having that long-range capability is what made it even more formidable and threatening, even if it wasn't what would directly cause the kill. It was the airborne equivalent of a spear versus a sword. To be fair, there is a lot about DCS that is not accurate to reality, especially when it comes to sensors and countermeasures. It may just be my personal opinion, but I suspect there are just as many (if not more) DCSisms that are going against the F-14/AIM-54 effectiveness as going for it. Whether they be due to the F-14/AIM-54 implementation that hinders itself (radars losing track too easily, missiles going into a loft after getting notched, inaccurate tracking/activation due to old missile API, etc.) or to overperforming defensive systems of other systems/modules (omniscient RWR, unrealistic ECM, RNG chaff, etc.). I'm very grateful for DCS and Eagle Dynamics for what they have created. But I do consider Heatblur to produce the highest quality simulations (though I may be biased). And when you have different developers creating modules, you're going to have different levels of quality and accuracy. Meshing them all together while trying to maintain realistic and intended functionality is a task I do not envy. And when systems are intertwined, and they are worked on by different developers (e.g. Heatblur's F-14 radar with ED's missile guidance with Mag3's MiG-21 RWR), things are bound to have problems. So I definitely would not praise or condemn the real F-14/AIM-54's capabilities based on its performance in DCS at any given time. Yes, they are old technology. But they were also the most advanced technology at the time, and continued to be upgraded. Really, I'm surprised with how little actual (reliable) information is known about the Phoenix for how old it is. It seems no one truly knows what it was and was not actually capable of. And that's a mystery that may never be solved. Were the F-14 and AIM-54 as great as the legends say? Probably not. But were they as "ineffective" as they are currently implemented/speculated? Also probably not. Reality is most likely somewhere between the two... the question is: where exactly?5 points

Вот к чему уже была эта подколка? Это же не так. Я себя уже троллем ощущаю, но не могу не ответить еще раз. Если бы было безразлично, я бы не возвращался к этому раз за разом. DCS нравился всегда, но происходящее с ним в последнее время уже откровенно достало. Сейчас надо действительно взять паузу, есть и много чего другого интересного. А так - вы правы конечно. В самом деле, в большинстве проблем пользователи виноваты. Запускают совершенную игру то на несовершенном железе, то (вот чудаки!) на несовершенной Windows, то (вот тоже странные люди!) - не хотят, например, порыться на форуме, и найти совет - всего-то после запуска КАЖДОЙ миссии идти в диспетчер задач "потыкать привязку ядер", ведь после этого игра обретает офигенную плавность. Чего им не хватает, непонятно. Извините, всё осознал и приниженно умолкаю. И я тоже больше не буду.4 points

При чем тут это? Ответ был на постоянные сентенции с отсылкой к Майкрософту и к устаревшему железу. При том, что игра, (вот открытие то!) разрабатывается под Винду. И после очередных обновлений вдруг, оказывается, в большинстве случаев Майкрософт виноват, что что-то стало работать не так. Ну, ладно. Железо я обновил, систему поменять на 11-ю? Сорян за сарказм. Но, мужчины, - разработчики хороши, а? "Опубликованные" советы разработчика, если на то пошло - где? Между срок на форуме в разных ветках? Откуда их может выковырять лишь умудренный опытом старожил форума (скилл археолога развит). Ну я их много накопал. Много интересного узнал. Ну и? Ладно, ребята, меня утешать не надо, тут на самом деле все хорошо. Благодаря DCS обновил компьютер к НГ. Теперь у меня лучше работают и другие продукты. Я доволен. А что касается DCS - на нем свет клином не сошелся же. Просто больше тратить время на разборки с системой, игрой, археологами и пр. не хочу. Буду заглядывать после очередных обновлений, как - а вдруг? Поэтому с Наступающим! И еще раз всем - исполнения пожелания, высказанного ув. Frogen!4 points

Dynamic Campaign Development Report DCS Dynamic Campaign (DCSDC) is one of the most important tasks for the future of DCS as it will add a new and much-demanded evolution/improvement of gameplay for both single player and multiplayer. Rather than mimic past solutions, we hope to set a new standard, one that provides a high level of interaction, authenticity, immersion, and ease-of-use. Our goal is to deliver a system that allows players to create their own dynamic (non-scripted) campaigns that will evolve based on strategic and tactical AI decisions, indirect player influences on AI actions, and direct player influences on the battlefield. This will all leverage existing DCS features such as Voice Chat, new ATC mechanisms, etc. This has been a tall order, and the effort has been underway since 2018 with a small but dedicated team. Our focus in 2022 was on the creation and testing of General Air Operations tasks. In 2023, we shifted our DCSDC efforts to Ground Operations. This area will break new ground for dynamic campaigns and includes the following tasks: The creation of a realistic road network system that is based on a new road editor system. This allows units to have appropriate road movement conditions that are tied to the logistics and supply network. This also integrates into the movement of ground unit formations. A new ground unit formations editor was created that allows for the accurate assembly of units-based levels of command from platoon up to division, with all command levels in-between. Command structures vary based on the country and era, just like the real world and with correct terminology. Unit formations then operate realistically within their larger force structure based on tasking such as road march, meeting engagement, assault, defense, retreat, route, etc. We addressed ground forces behavior once engaged. This was one of the biggest, most complex tasks. Much of this was dependent upon force tasking, support from neighboring forces, organization of frontline forces, logistics (munitions and fuel), and disposition of enemy forces. To assist with these items, a new and improved path-finding mechanism was developed that considers both the terrain topography and restrictive zones within it. This allows more sensible routing of formations based on the terrain properties. In addition to Ground Operations tasks, we continue to work on Air Operations related tasks. For instance, many airfields currently have too few parking spaces available for a large DC. We don’t want to be limited to such limited numbers for large scenarios. To address this, we have developed a new process to expand spawn points for aircraft. Next, we will finalize ground tasking, increase the level of internal and external testing, and begin work on the important Graphic User Interface (GUI). Winter Sale Huge Savings! Количество сенсоров, телеметрия, степень просчета физики полета, сложность окружающего мира в DCS на порядок сложнее и больше, даже мсфс с его бюджетами и доступностью всех технологий и любых специалистов нещадно тормозит в вр на любой системе. В Elite Dangerous графика и ВР работают безупречно, насколько это возможно, мой комп тянет ровно, без фризов и т.д., а догфайты там похлеще, чем в ДКС. В ДКС тоже есть отдельные моменты "просто разрабы как бараны упёрлись рогом", например, пулеметы .50 cal на UH-1: пару часов работы моделеру, но 10 лет все хотелки идут лесом... Про Хариер вообще молчу - самолет-зомби, то ли живой, то ли нет. Везде есть проблемы, но плавная работа на адекватном ПК должна быть в любом случае. У меня настройки на минимуме (все "украшательства выкл) уже лет 15 - ну люблю я так, для меня и Локон был достаточно красивый. Но только сейчас на стабильной появились совсем неудобоваримые фризы. Покупка 4090 (у меня она стоит $3000) никак не решает этих проблем, что само по себе должно доводить пользователей до белого каления. С таким потолком мы сим с боями рота на роту никогда не увидим. А про батальоны вообще молчу. Если не удается решить проблему кодом, надо вводить опцию "низких" лодов - я готов пострелять и по угловатым моделям танков мавериками с 20 км, или еще что-то.3 points

I know - it's a combat flight sim ( or at least it's meant to be ), not Escape From Tarkov. Meanwhile the easiest and most common method of cheating is still out there and nothing has ever been done about it. Many of the people who use it aren't just cheating, but actively trying to wreck everyone elses experience. To be fair to ED, it's a method not limited to DCS. But cheer yourself up with the thought that most PVP servers are hell on Earth anyway, full of annoying kids with 10 Amraams loaded on their Hornets flinging missiles at anything that flies, red or blue. I've made the decision that I'll use whatever mods\tweaks\exports I like, and if that stops me joining a server then that's fine. I can fly with my friends on a private server where sanity prevails and we are all on the same wavelength.2 points

Hello! I would like to announce a new campaign for the Mi-24P. The most important features: over dozen single player missions (lasting from 45 minutes to 2 hours gameplay of each), realistic, detailed scenarios, story driven campaign, proceeding the campaigns as a pilot-commander (no knowledge of the CPG position is required, apart from issuing orders) full voice package in Russian (almost a thousand voice overs), even Petrovich received his role (!), briefings/subtitles in English, various types of missions, including night ones, dedicated skins from period of Afghan war, as real as it gets - cold starts only, you also need to return to the airport after the mission, prepared briefings (description of the situation and tasks), full documentation, graphics and photos most important data in the pilot's kneeboard, summary (including tips and tricks) in the readme file, check it before the flight ;)! FPS friendly (tested in VR too), the campaign "Afghan War: Szatan Arba" is free, the campaign is planned for release in December this year out! Full info, you can find in Mi-24P corner:2 points

В страну калифорнию. Было бы круто если бы эта помойка стала отдельной страной а еще лучше как атлантида сгинула бы на дно морское )) По стечению обстоятельст я живу в США и мне нужно коробку только до почты донести. Суть в том что я купил гарнитуру за полную стоимость два месяца назад а мне впаривают какоето фуфло вместо нормального сервиса.2 points

All good points. Though one i'd consider missing and has been on my wishlist for long now is how will Combined Arms be implemented withing the DCSDC ? Would that be a thing to take control of any driveable vehicle on the map and go about using it at your own wishes ? Considering AI will be doing its own thing, whether defending or attacking points, if i were to take control of a tank in a random group to simply shoot stuff and progress manually with the rest of the group, will that be a thing ? So many questions i'd wish to know regarding Combined Arms and DCSDC. Hopefully we get to have more info at some point2 points

The problem is alot of DCS players don't even understand the concept of BARCAP and area denial to allow other assets to go about their business. Its always target fixation and chase thinking they have to kill the aircraft for their mission to be a success. Here lies the problem, a strategic lack of understanding. Edit - it also makes me smile from the early days of when the Aim54 was OP to now people thowing the toys out the proverbial cot because they expect it to be better than an Aim120, and be killing 9g turn fighters from 40+ miles down low. There is a reason the F15 isn't equiped with Aim54 and its not politics.2 points

Does "best of both worlds" mean that mouse movement is added to head movement to determine the cursor position relative to the cockpit ? I think that it is precisely what OP's is trying to avoid. To explain it differently, the desired behaviour is that the (physical) mouse is a metaphor of your hand. In the real world, you can do one thing with your head while doing another one indepently with your hand: you can point your hand at a control and keep it there even if you gaze around. For instance, if you put the mouse cursor (blue cross) on, say, a TACAN course knob, it should stay there if you move your head (and VR headset) ever so slightly to look at the course needle on the HSI dial or MFD while you turn the knob. The cursor (your virtual hand) should only quit the knob if you move your physical mouse. That is what OP's and others would like to achieve, for more natural control. That is how it works in MSFS. It would be nice if ED could add an option to get that behaviour (without removing the current one, which some do prefer, because it allows to point and click without using the mouse just by looking at a control and binding a couple of HOTAS buttons to replace mouse left click/mouse right click).2 points
