Hello there. We just released the VSN F-106 DeltaDart. A FC3 based EFM mod with a custom pit. If you like, you can take a look here: and download the mod right here: https://drive.filen.io/d/453c8ea1-f087-467a-890f-952786fa7915#i6EWVHo5tJFQdrEjts3Lt0mshDXn4GTz SkinPacks, thanks to Urbi, can be downloaded here: https://drive.filen.io/d/4e2d334a-4054-464d-bac2-34cb9d4311ba#jCgBsLioSt33RN8RqzWOwiAo3n8CuCpx and here: https://drive.filen.io/d/29c5db68-4846-4077-b65b-7ef705fa361e#p72Di64FhF9Wvak62UpCltFJt65FfWDp Big thanks to JP-Ferree for the cool trailer and the menu pictures, Pallino66HD for the soundtrack and Phil from Virtavia.com for getting us a license to use the really cool model. If you are into DCS-modding, you will find the source-files for the EFM in the download. Please keep in mind, that the VSN_F106 EFM is based on the VSN_F104 EFM (except of course the data for aerodynamics) which is, in some parts, based on the A-4EFM. You are free to use this EFM or parts from it, when complying to the GPL-3 licensing agreement, which you'll find there as well.7 points

DCS Version: Standalone v2.9.4.53627 NO MODS CLEAN F-16 Hello all. I have a new bug report that is a pretty big one that has gone unnoticed for quite some time but has become a big issue with the latest update. After dealing with a slight rolling left issue for the longest time within the aerobatic community, the new DCS update came out and was excited to try it. After doing some initial flying it was found that the F-16 has a TERRIBLE rolling left tendency when performing loops or even higher G level turns. It has made formation flying or even general BFM near impossible without putting almost half to full right stick input to correct when flying. So let's lay down some basics that have been tried to troubleshoot this issue. 1. All of this was performed with 3 different sticks to try to rule out any sort of sensor issues. 2. There was 4 different machines tested on to see if it was machine/software specific. All machines had 0 mods and have tried repair/reinstall 3. DCS curves/settings were looked at and configured with no changes to default settings. 4. Wind was turned off for all testing. With that cleared up, let's go over the parameters of the maneuvers performed in the test to help replicate the issue. LOOP PARAMETERS: - 410-430 kts calibrated entry speed - 87-89% RPM - 4G pull into the loop - Reduce the pull to "float" over the top at 0.8 to 1.0G - Back in with the pull to bring back to starting altitude MAX G TURN: - Level at 430-450 kts calibrated entry speed - Roll and Pull to max deflection while engaging afterburner - When speed starts decaying, release pull to hold 400kts With the parameters set. We can now go over what is actually happening with the aircraft. During the loop, the rolling left starts almost immediately but is very subtle. As the aircraft approaches around 70 degrees nose high and around 320 kts, the aircraft makes a hard left roll. I started the loop heading 180 magnetic and during this loop completely upside down I should see around heading 0 magnetic. Instead I saw a deviation of 23 degrees magnetic due to the left roll. Pulling through the back side my aircraft has rolled so much I am at 45 degrees AOB on the backside of the loop. This is unacceptable for flying formation in loops. Now onto the max g turn. This one is less aggressive but the left roll is still there. After a 360 degree turn, I ended up 15 degrees nose high from complete level and gained 1000 feet in altitude. Please note all of these test were done with no correction with any sort of right roll input. When right roll input was introduced. During the highest rate of roll, near full right roll command was needed. CONCLUSION After all testing was concluded it was time to look into the cause of the problem. Since this has been an issue since the F-16 first came out, I can assume it isn't related to any new updates that have been done previous except the latest update with the yaw rate boost. Here's what we know it isn't. Gun Weight. If it WAS the gun weight we would be seeing it at all regimes of flight since the weight is a constant and doesn't shift. There has been previous talk that the weight of the gun is the cause of this and nothing can be done but it has gotten worse since the last update. Here's what it could be. LEF schedule incorrect. If the LEF was deploying asymmetrically it could explain the exponential increase in drag on the left wing causing the bigger roll rates. It could also be the rudder trying to compensate for something. This would make more sense since the issue got worse with a rudder change in the latest update. Either way, I don't have access to the code to look at this so it is up to you ED, to find this issue. I have given all of the information I can on this. In future, I urge you ED to PLEASE do further testing with flight models before you hand them out. I understand you crowd source us to help bug report but this is something that is un-flyable and most of the aerobatic community can't update because of it. Thanks, Panic. Track has been attached for debugging. F-16 Rolling bug.trk5 points

It's probably too easy in all navy planes in DCS, as the basket has no physics, and goes out of its way to plug in for you if you hit the probe anywhere inside. I would like to see realistic basket physics one day.5 points

@Raptor9 I think this is what we were talking about, When AGM-65 is switched from VIS to PRE mode FCR goes in CRM mode rather than GM mode, done with cold aircraft on the ground. F-16 Maverick and CRM radar mode.trk4 points

IMHO I think that is - especially for DCS neophytes - the main stumbling block. Out of the box, DCS's user experience simply can't be called "good" nor "modern". For a new user, nearly everything in DCS becomes a fight. Imagine that you download DCS, install it, and start it for the first time. ... and then? Nothing tells you what to do, no guide, nothing. "Fresh" DCS comes with the T-Frogfoot and T-51. Neither of which you can fly out of the box - unless someone tells you how. Well, maybe you can get into an Instant Mission, and then you run into the wall of setting up your gear. Fine, that's expected. There's no flight sim worth its salt where you don't have to set up your gear. DCS's way, however, is, uh, an acquired taste, I guess. It definitely can be improved. No matter. We are in-game, and our gear is set up. Now what? Hey, that plane's avionics talk Russian to me. So there are a billion ways that DCS can be improved, and missions (e.g. tutorial missions) are one way that mission creators can help. And that's where we hit the next wall: no integrated way to discover missions, even though we upload them to ED's servers. Another billion great opportunities sadly wasted. So if new DCS users are brave enough to download some files from a Russian-registered server to their PC, and find the correct way to install them so that DCS can find them, these users should be encouraged. If my mission doesn't run because it requires a mod, that would only frustrate them, and they would not play the mission I wrote. That's why I try to keep it simple: no mod, no more problems (and not to disparage the incredible work other contributors have made) some mods are difficult to install. That's mainly ED's fault, and the early 1990 architecture of how DCS organizes its assets. But for a new user it's another frustrating minefield to cross. And incredibly helpful utilities like OVGME? Lets me quote the Readme: "Sadly the original developer Sedenion is no longer developing this extremely useful tool". This is not stuff first-time players want to read, it all makes a really, really bad first impression. Now, some of my missions are geared towards servers/multiplayers. With those missions I will occasionally include a mod, but only very sparingly, and usually only those that I know very well and trust that they will be maintained - that point of introducing dependencies is very well made. So, no mods in my missions for normal players, minimal mod support for server missions. Server admins usually have the knowledge (or access to people who have it) so that they can add support for their favorite mods. Now, if DCS came with built-in mod support, mod discovery and integrated mission loading from their servers, I'd reverse that in a heartbeat (and maybe even try some of these mods myself ).4 points

There are 2 air bases in Mary, Turkmenistan. This post will focus on Mary-1.* Mary-1 was the base of the Soviet 341st Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment, 979th Fighter Aviation Regiment, 402nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment and 168th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment. * Mary-1 was also the base for the Soviet Top Gun equivalent. There will be a separate post for it. 341st Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment Aircraft type Tu-22PD Blinder. Tu-22PD were deployed to Mary, Mary Oblast for ECM operations over Afghanistan 979th Fighter Aviation Regiment Aircraft type MiG-23ML Flogger-G and MiG-23UB Flogger-C 402nd Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment Aircraft type Tu-22M3 Backfire. 168th Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment Aircraft type Su-17M3 Fitter-H and Su-24M Fencer-D Attached photos for reference. 00. ED map 01-02. Actual location, current state 03-12. Early 80s photo of base, aircraft and operations This airbase is missing from current plans and would be important to be included in order to re-create the conflict.3 points

Not the worst idea in the world, but it really doesn't take long to learn how to place an item on the carrier, link it, then copy/paste and change as needed. Then whatever it is you're doing isn't blocked by that random static object in the way. No development skills needed, just some well targeted point and click. This. Though I have to admit I'd really like to have models for some of those static items that already populate airfields because I like to set those up as well. That and when I put a person on a hanger I mean for the person to be IN the hanger with the aircraft they've already fixed. Still remember aircraft parked on top of shelters...now I still have to move the aircraft out if I want to pretend someone (probably Navy because the air force doesn't have ground crews...no wonder they struggle) works on it.3 points

А жизнь продукта чем определяется, или кем? Временем по договор между ед и разбам(жизненный цикл), временем активности по продажам за определенный промежуток времени, бессрочно до закрытия проекта dcs?3 points

Just a thought, but if Razbam reps have publicly stated they will no longer be supporting their modules, wouldn't it behoove ED to place a disclaimer notice for Razbam modules while they continue selling them? As it currently stands, ED has the F-15E plastered on their title page like nothing is afoot. Seems a little dishonest to carry on with business as usual without at least notifying potential buyers of potential end of support life, especially while several modules are still in "early access". Otherwise, if it's "fake news" then ED needs to assure us it is in fact "fake news".3 points

While Im sure the community appreciates the prospect of an update, I feel like trust is already gone and the only way to restore this would be to not focus on additional immediate content and focus on fixing some bugs even if this means that it is only a small update. Additionally, Id personally like to see an updated road map, realistic one this time, so we all know what and when to expect what, and obviously very clear and concise communication. We all know that development can take time and has bumps on the road, but for paying customers, we/they just want to hear that hey guys, we have an issue, next major update is pushed to xx, and the coming update will only have minor fixes ect. That I can respect and Im sure others can too.3 points

I initially opened a feature request but due to lack of reaction fro ED, and reaction from other folks on this forum, I think this should be considered a BUG. The problem is that TGP in A-A STT tracking does not follow the limitations of physics, strictly speaking rotational inertia of the camera gimbal. As result the updates for angle from radar STT cause TGP picture to be jittery. It's really difficult to visually ID A-A targets with the TGP because it's repositioning the viewport with instant "jumps". It is less noticeable when TGP track target by contrast but still problem is similar.2 points

Thanks Thanatos31, I appreciate that. Nice photo. I try to make each one better than the last. Each mod I learn something new. To answer your question. Yes, that's my plan after I release the next group of mods. I will revisit all the Amphibious ships. America is one of those ships. Beldin has made my job a bit easier with creating the landing and parking spots on deck. I play with her sometimes to see what work I need to do on her but to make sure everything is running as it should. I need to sit down and take my time with her because it's a bigger ship. At the moment she's working great in DCS.2 points

idk what manuals you are reading, but I'm looking at wording that explicitly describes 'elevation rate control'. Additionally there are SMEs who confirm that strike eagle radar elevation is a rate control, not a position control.2 points

I've been flying the same mission over and over for the past month. At least before the main April update. IA - Thunderbolt furball. Always the same way: 1. 0-1000 m 2. 350-450 km/h mostly 3. yankinkg the throttle (Xbox controller) 4. not touching the radiator flaps knob 5. MW50 used CONTINUOUSLY, sometimes over 5 minutes at full throttle without a single retarding of the throttle. Before update: No engine failures without battle damage. After the April update: I started getting unexpected engine failures. I think they are preceded with a pop sound. I'm going to try to grab a short track file.2 points

If it were an abstract map of an inexistent place, perhaps. Still, we'd want some recognizable landmarks there to orient ourselves, and unique buildings serve that purpose. I remember way back when I was playing an FPS game called "Unreal Tournament" that had custom maps. One was called "Deck 16". Great map, synthetic. There was another map, called "Louvre". It was based on the real place, and it was fun to battle between re-enactments of the exhibits and through the corridors of a maze built upon the real place. For better or worse, these 'reality based landmarks' make me enjoy a map more. Since Sinai is a real place, having landmarks based on, and located at, their real-world objects adds some je ne sais quoi to the map, makes it more enjoyable to me. Now, when you are in a whirlybird (and I often am), it also makes VFR navigation around those landmarks much, much easier. Yeah, but in that game I can't get jumped by some Insurgents in need of forceful persuasion. And have you looked at the quality of what may be coming soon? Breathtaking. Now, let's all hope that the fine people at @OnReTech heed the Jobsian proverb: "real artists ship". I'm really looking forward to the next update and am happy that ORT found the time to post a sign of life here.2 points

As has already been stated, RAZBAM is committed to getting back to work on their products once everything is sorted. Right now there is no need to have any sort of disclaimers or any such thing right now as all that has happened was they have missed one patch. Lets let them work through it and we will go from there. Thanks.2 points

The community does a great service to the devs by reporting bugs and providing the required documents. Sadly, we have no idea what bugs were assigned to the devs, and when - which is the downside of the bugs sub-forum. We also can't '+1' those threads anymore since they are locked after the bugs are reported. I think it's time to be more transparent about what bugs are assigned to devs.2 points

I basically don't use any mods. So no A7D with an a7e cockpit either. Apart from that, an A-7E fits better with an F-14 than an A-7D (even though in my opinion it doesn't matter in DCS).2 points

Dear friends and pilots. We apologize for the long update, but rest assured that we are working on improving our module (it was our mistake to make the update so big). We are currently finalizing some scenes after our internal testing, fixing some internal bugs, and preparing the module for an update. As planned, new airfields were added as announced in the road map. More than 90 new unique and historical buildings + some additional objects that we didn’t plan: an oil platform, new yachts, air balloon and etc... Added unique hangars for the F35 at the Nevatim airfield, as well as parking for them. Improved scenes of Cairo, Alexandria, Eilat and Jerusalem. Thank you for your patience and attention. I am attaching screenshots of the new update.2 points
