AI_ATC is a study level simulation of ATC procedures at Nellis Airforce base. Краткое содержание предыдущих серий с учетом удаленного: Какой-то супер уровень проработки ГСН, гениально полученный в Тундре с первых дней, который то ли можно увидеть, то ли нет, то ли нет вообще никакой проработки.. Но в ED всё плохо уже 30 лет и они слабо разбираются в ракетах, оказывается.)))4 points

I think that a better headstrap is mandatory for almost everyone. And get a high speed USB-C cable that is long enough. Having a powered USB hub is a good idea to keep the charge up. In general I would advise a powered USB hub because we often connect many peripherals to the PC and then it's very easy for the ports to run out of power, which can cause all kinds of issues with the USB devices. @Grodin Meta sometimes has updates that brick headsets, which is why I turned off automatic updates and wait for the updates to get forced onto the headset. By then, any issues will have been dealt with. Of course, if you get a Crystal Light, then the issue is poor quality control and sometimes rather poor support. A high-speed USB cable works fine for me. You can set a higher bit rate through the debug tool. AV1 puts a high load on the CPU and the bit rate is so limited with Link that it seems better not to use it. I keep charge sufficiently with a powered USB hub. Not sure why you are blaming the Quest for it not keeping charge when you plug it into an USB port that provides relatively little power. Do you expect Meta to come to your house and solder a higher power USB port onto your motherboard? I've never had the infinite restarting thing. I've never had the dirt/water issue either. If that happens with a new headset, get a replacement headset. I never had an issue with the audio either, aside from Windows messing up the audio device. I have a very hard time believing that you have been hit with all these issues. It looks more like you've been collecting all the horror stories for just one product, while conveniently ignoring the very many horror stories about the product you recommend. That is not a fair and balanced way to judge these devices.3 points

This would be one of the best things for VR. It _really_ kills the mood when you lose a 1-2 hour mission because there is a hiccup with something in the VR and you can't get back in. Even the ability to trigger a "VR reconnect" by pushing a button where it would restart the VR pipeline or whatever it is called and allow the headset to connect again would be huge. I still havent finished 2 payware campaigns becaus i was put off by this happening and just don't feel like flying them now with the risk of this happening.3 points

Sieht alles aktuell sehr aus nach technischer Stagnation gekoppelt mit großen Preisschildern bzw. Steigerungen für minimale Innovation (wenn überhaupt). Solange es jedoch bei DCS auch nur Fortschritte im Zeitlupentempo gibt und die zivile FlugSim-Seite zugleich auch eher sehr ernüchternde Entwicklungen zeigt, kann ich das locker aussitzen und mir mit meiner vorhandenen Hardware ne schöne Zeit machen ohne jeglichen Druck, wieder Aufrüsten zu müssen, zu verspüren - spart mir so jedenfalls viel Geld und Frust sich mit unausgereiftem Zeug herumzuärgern3 points

That selection of images looks lovely @Beldin! I don't know if anyone else still has the dancing SeaCeptors with the Type 23 Richmond, but I have cobbled together a fix which I'm happy to share if it hasn't been done by @Admiral189 already and with his permission of course. I figured it out. FINALLY... My radio command binding on my HOTAS works where I push it up for VHF and down for UHF... I always push it up because I thought that was the only way to bring up the radio commands ... Thanks for your help in talking me through it... Now I'm off to go and fail repeatedly as I learn to refuel.3 points

I'm satisfied ED's current (2.9.11) C-130 3d model. ModelViewer2.0 says its model has 83700 triangles count. This number is not few in comparing other official AI models KC-135 / IL-76md / An-26B / etc. (Besides latest Heavy Metal Core models ... ) RAZBAM's KC-130 model is 64326 triangles count. ED's KC-135 is 34980 triangles count. IL-76md = 92753. An-26B = 94013.3 points

The F-105 had pretty much the same radar as the 104G. The A-4 (starting with the Charlie) had a pretty capable radar and starting with the E a rather capable doppler nav set. The A-7 was even moe advanced with it's (though ridimentary) TFR and it's later (Delta and Echo variants) advanced avionics package. The major shortcoming of the 104 in the conventional role was the lack of payload-range (one word). Clean and with a bucket of sunshine (no matter how many tanks), it's range was actually quite good. Together with a good cruise capability (fast and smoot d/t high wing loading) it was quite capable unless you asked it to carry a lot. It also had a rather low RCS for shipping attacks.2 points

ну в мсфс эта куча говна выглядит куда приятнее и затрагивает целый мир. а еще если выключить фотограмметрию, то приведенных вами артефактов практически не будет. можно просто сравнить одни и те же места в дкс и в мсфс. понтяно что сравнивать это всё в прицнипе не корректно, ибо задачи у симов разные. но называть мсфс некрасивым очень глупо.... хотя ту же погоду, я бы полностью оттуда забрал. как раз наоборот, там теперь даже камушки есть с цветочками...2 points

You're over complicating it. I'm in the mission editor more than I am flying the game, it's not that complicated. Being able to quickly see what groups are using what freqs in the view unit table would be much faster then scrolling through the map looking for groups. So if I wanted to make sure all units were on 250 I could just look at the table regardless if it's FM or AM.(Could make a FM/AM table) If there's a group not on that radio preset I can just fix it right there. Instead of looking around the map for that one unit.2 points

I've been using a Quest 3 for almost a year. No issues so far and I'm very satisfied. It's a solid headset for the price. I tried Virtual Desktop but I can't match the visual quality of the link cable. Having the Q3 plugged while you play has the additional advantage of conserving battery (mine never goes below 80%) and this is using a generic $15 cable. No expensive Meta cable, no powered USB port, nothing.2 points

Sorry, but is not true. MSAA (I use x2) always works, 100%. It is still the best option if we care about image sharpness. DLSS is unacceptable to me due to too much blur in the image which is very visible in VR. The difference is colossal for me, which is why I will never decide on DLSS (although as the saying goes, never say never ). I know people who fly in VR and it doesn't bother them, they even prefer to have slight blur on objects. I, on the other hand, like sharpness, and currently no option provides it as well as MSAA x2/x4 or even its off, provided the screen resolution is high, of course. In VR I have something like (6300x3150), with MSAAx2 it is perfect, there is also no ghosting and other artifacts that are caused by DLSS or DLAA, which does not bother me so much in 2D but is already clearly visible in VR.2 points

Something I forgot to add - I have manually added the line 'effects' into my graphics.lua with tweaked values ( you can see this in the screenshot above in line 272) this should overcome the problem with contrails disappearing abruptly at certain distances, so if anyone is having that problem that can be tried out.2 points

In my opinion don't get a quest 3. Its an absolute mess. - Update might completely brick your unit, lots of info about this online - You need virtual desktop and compatible router for it to get somewhat OK pcvr experience, link cable is junk (No AV1 codec with USB link, many people have issues with the quest microphone not working well over USB link, the headset will struggle to keep battery charge during gaming if you have to plug it to a usb port instead of a charger etc etc) - Having it plugged in your pc might have a bug where the headset infinitely keeps restarting thus never charging, this bug has been for years, check on the meta forums - Another bug for years is it keeps complaining about dirt/water in the USB port preventing charging even with new headsets and new cables, also lots of info on meta forums Just to mention a few. I absolutely hate the quest 3. For performance you pretty much need a 4080 to be able to run 100% native resolution with MSAA 2x for an enjoyable graphics. DLSS/DLAA/TAA is a ghosting and blurry mess so you don't want that. Hand tracking really works only with the point control, other means of hand tracking just don't work well. Until you get that i suggest setting up your mouse close to the joystick and/or second mouse near the throttle. Crystal light or crystal super would be my choice. Displayport connection is infinitely better than transferring compressed frames over USB or wifi.2 points

I see it as a map problem too, but luckily in my case, it was solved with 1 setting alteration and I have no frame drop below 900' anymore and no stuttering or noticable difference in quality. 100% clean since Aug 31st 2024. More power also seems to work for some, especially with VR. ..2 points

I was a counsel gamer before this and bought a computer just to try DCS. That was a couple years ago and many thousands of dollars later, and it was definitely a large learning curve with just getting setup and started, not to mention running into the issue I just did. Without YouTube or these forums I don’t think I would have been able to get started. All worth it but definitely a different experience from someone whose computer knowledge is only as good as I need it to be to get over the next hurdle lol.2 points

R-27 has Home on jam so you should disable jammer when you get closer than 29 nm (burnthrough range) as jammer turns Fox 1 R27 into stealthy (no RWR indication) Fox3 However at distances more than 29nm jammer is very useful, especially vs soviet jets as they prevent locks, effectively making you invulnerable for shots at distances longer than 29nm. Did I mentioned that F-14 so far has longest stick in game? Also you can jam AND employ AA missiles (unlike F16/F18)? So jammer in F14 is actually very effective if used right. Just remember to switch it off. Also its great vs older sams, as long you are outside burn through range2 points

Völlig okay - bzw. lass dich nicht entmutigen. Ich stümpere seit Jahren um das Boot herum und kriege nicht zuverlässig die Mitte der Landebahn geschweigedenn das dritte Fangseil. Ich hätte in Realität wohl leider nie bestanden. Wenn du die Pedale hast und dich etwas dran gewöhnt hast, gibt es in den Trainingsmissionen für die F-14 (ich hab nur das Modul und weiß deshalb nicht wie es bei den anderen ist) 1x ein Training im Case 1 Pattern auf dem Land und 1x auf einem Träger. Für den Anfang gibt dir das Sicherheit, weil man Star Wars spielen darf und grüne Tore durchfliegen darf. Wenn man sich da nicht zu sehr darauf versteift nur auf die Tore zu glotzen sondern eben seine Zahlen und das Timing separat betrachtet, ist das gut hilfreich. Egal was du machst und wie du es machst: erhalt dir den Spaß. Auch wenns nicht gern gelesen wird, am Ende ist es ein Spiel, das dich unterhalten und die Freude machen soll.2 points

Oh don't you worry, Jensen-leather-jacket guy knows very well that people also want a 20 or 24 GB variant model.... A matter of waiting for a supposed "5080Ti 24GB" within a year from this? Something like that couldn't be released now, or it'd affect sales of the 5090 and the 5080.2 points

Sorry... I stand corrected. LOS was not the issue. It's simpler than that. I simply wasn't following the JTAC's instructions correctly, and that was resulting in them stopping the lase upon weapons release. I would actually hear them say "abort" but couldn't figure out why. For some reason I thought that they'd continue lasing after aborting, which is not the case. Chalk it down to me not understanding the JTAC's instructions. If the JTAC loses LOS and stops the lase, they'll mention something along the lines of "no mark". That's very different from what I encountered.2 points

The clue is in the name, DCS, they simulate combat, so don't expect to not have conflict with the community. I'm starting to think the mods are actually bots as the responses are so robotic. BN isn't a real human IMHO, and no I'm not joking.2 points

Fixed some things: Mission 1 - Removed the dust storm Mission 2 - Sorted out the suicidal Chinook pilot on the ramp Mission 7 - Fixed the trigger for the napalm drop. First several missions sorted out a buggered up TACAN.2 points

Tachchen, ich dachte ich lass mal von mir hören. Klappt inzwischen besser. Ich hab mir von Rakuzard das mit dem On Speed nochmal erklären lassen und jetzt klappen die Landungen im graden Anflug inzwischen. Ja, ich treff nicht den genauen Punkt auf der Landebahn, aber ich treff die Landebahn ohne dem US Steuerzahler eine Riesen Rechnung für ein neues Fahrwerk zu präsentieren. Ruder Pedale hab ich mir auch mal bestellt. Woran ich mich noch nicht traue ist das CASE I Pattern. Bisher mache ich meine ANflüge immer in grader Linie aus mindestens 10 Meilen Abstand.2 points

Это и был интересный момент. Худшее из DCS сравнить с Тундрой. По стоимости: я вижу примерно одинаково. Управление: выбрал там самое хардкорное. Последовал приставучему мастеру настроек. Покупать 21-й не стал, полетал снова на чем есть. При возвращении джойстика в нейтраль включается какой-то песец с автоприведением в горизонт, жутко мешает. Хваленая графика на максималках не понравилась. Затуманенный мультик. Про подавление рвотного рефлекса при появлении всяких сундучков с призами вообще молчу. Стоит продолжать смотреть? Я мог чего-то не понять с наскоку. На это нужен отдельный запас моральных сил...2 points

It depends on which landing approach you use. Around the boat you'll be in a turn when you deploy gear and flaps so the nose-up won't hinder you - quite the opposite - so you can go full flaps right away. If you're going straight-in on a runway, deploy undercarriage at 250, half flaps at 180 and full flaps at 160.2 points

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! great work. I have a few notes (for reference I'm a 23 year tower and radar controller at both civilian and military airfields in the US). ->The ATIS information we don't say QFE we just say "Altimeter Two Niner Niner Two" All altitudes are read as single numbers ie One Four Thousand for 14,000. ->Runway taxi instruction phraseology is "Runway ## taxi via taxiway X X X [hold short or cross runway if needed]." the pilot will hold short of the runway themselves. also only when giving a progressive taxi instruction would you use turn left Charlie right alpha or something similar. it takes a lot of time to say those words, and in our world seconds count, so the less we have to say the better. ->Single pilot fighter aircraft takeoff clearance is: "c/s runway XX, wind XXX/XX, change to departure, cleared for takeoff" (personally I say change to departure after the takeoff clearance but that's what the book says). -> In the US Flight Levels don't begin until FL180, below that its One Two Thousand One Seven Thousand, Two Thousand Five Hundred, etc. -> When giving a radar vector and not using turn left/ turn right heading, say "fly heading" It looks like some of these things were corrected later in the video when you were inbound, such as fly heading and removing the QFE and QNH phraseology. -> The overhead sequence from tower should be "report initial (3-5 nm from runway), then give break instructions ie left/right break, at the approach end, mid-field, departure end, etc. for sequencing in the pattern. -> The runway exit instructions (since it seems to know where you're parking) are "Turn left/right next taxiway, at the end, or [taxiway name]. I wrote these notes as I watched the video. again this is great work, just some things that would make it a bit more polished. Ref: 7710.65AA Air Traffic Control Handbook (used by both US Military and Civilian ATC). The tower section is Chapter 3, Radar is under Chapters 4 and 5.2 points
