  1. 4- When HMD is SOI you cant slew the TGP aka diamond, you're slewing a HMD "marker" - thr cross bottom left of Mark A. If you press DMS RL (and one of the MFDs is TGP) it will slew TGP to the cross 5 - What do you mean by "another dimond"? There are no two dimonds. I guess you didn't quite get the SPI and SOI idea of A-10C logic. SOI - Sensor Of Intrest - it's the sensor you're manipulating using HOTAS commands SPI - Sensors Point of Intrest - there is always one and only one SPI and it's marked by white "wedding cake" On 4th screen the SPI is steerpoint - MRK A. On 5th screen SPI is the TGP.
  2. Dotted box represents TGP field of view. In the first screen you're probably in Wide and zoomed out, then I can see, you're in Narrow and zoomed x4. Look thru HMD on you target with TGP SOI and play with zoom and you'll see what I mean. The diamond is the center of TGP field of view.
  3. These values are for carrier ops. On the field just press T/O trim and stabs on 12 is perfectly ok.
  4. Do you have any mods? Super Hornet maybe? I played your track and the take off was ok, no damage, no heavy plane, no problems with rotation.
  5. This is english section of the forum.
  6. Small but I miss it - working transponder switch for emegency position.
  7. Probably you're using wrong coordinates format. While in F10 map you can change displayed format with LAlt+Y.

Check out on Youtube series "Jetstream", if you want to know what it takes to be a Hornet driver... And remember that Canada has no aircraft carriers.

I love the game, but it's still a game, and level of IRL simulation is really poor. Flight model, performance, limitations, and avionics system... it's all really "advanced arcade" and is very far from IRL values and behaviour.
  11. It's not "inconvenient and not that intuitive", it's more like you didnt read the manual. Like said earlier - IRL PP targets are entered via cartridge. In game you have to tape them manually. As name says - Pre Planned - you can and should do it while still on the ground. While on F10 map use LAlt+Y to change coordinates system to mach your needs. For in-game walkaround place waypoints where you need them (and if you want "bomb on coordinates" you need to enter them as prcise coordinates, and use TOO mode with designating new WPT for each drop (which also is bugged right now, because ED without reason just removed capability of programing TOO targets in advance). Do you have correct setiing on INS knob? It should be on IFA, not NAV in 99% of cases. Because your SPI (target) was designated by WPT. When you find a target on TGP pres TDC depress to designate new SPI with TGP. You don't need to create new WPT every time you find a target. Just designate it with TGP and drop ordinance on it. If you need a WPT make a Markpoint, it's easier and faster. As Bunny Clark said - it's very consistant, you just didn't learn to use it. TL;DR - RTFM.
  12. No, ATFLIR does not have these HOTAS commands.
  13. No idea. First verify if you dan't have any silly spelling mistake in that folder tree
  14. I doubt if you can use MIDS to communicate with AWACS. I don't know how it workw IRL, but in DCS MIDS has ~40 nm range. So you can use MIDS for flight/package comms or flight/element comms and COM1 and COM2 radios for AWACS/Tanker/ATC etc. (Previously someone said to use one of the radios for guard channel but IMO it's waste of the radio. You can set listening of guard freq (GRCV option) on one of the radios and when someone talks on it, switch to G channel)
  15. You don't, unless you don't have reconnaissance data, or you can try to find it with TGP. But plane sensors won't give you that information. You can also launch two HARMs with two codes. PS Notice that P-19 has this same RWR symbol So there's three to choose from.
  16. HM, it shouldn't make a differnce, hence it's in Saved Games folder, not game folder
  17. PP programs are separate for each station. If you programm 4 PPs for station 7, you'll be able to choose between 4 targets for bomb on station 7. If you want to drop 4 bombs on 4 targets, you have to program PP1 on each station
  18. Yes we did. Did you compare TGP screen in sunlight and in cloud's shadow? And during day and night? This is how it did look like couple of patches ago (can't remember if this change was introduced with clouds or Caucasus textures change) And this is like it looks now The problem is background/ground texture, which apears hot and makes TGP unreadable And readability changes whit distance, but the closer you are, the harder is to spot a target.
  19. I have it set in right eye only. AFAIK it's like it is IRL. But I suppose it should be possible for a pilot to set it up on the left eye?
  20. It is bugged and it is connected to cloud's shadow and new terrain textures. Targets in sunshine are ok, in shadows are very hard to spot.
  21. Problem is you can't. Aftere recent changes if mission is set up that you can't see any units on the F10 map, you also can't see airfield data. They also changed many frequencies and TACAN channels on Syria recently. So if you don't make your own kneeboards that are up to date, you're in trouble And about that easy part... they still didn't correct cockpit switches consistency, and some switches are wraped in their movement, some are not. Som you need press LMB to swich up, some RMB. They alread had fixed and corrected lua file from a user but they rejected using it.
  22. Folder should be C:\Users\XXXX\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta(or similar)\Kneeboard\FA-18C_hornet Files JPG or PNG
  23. He quite cearly stated waht he watns: "edit the loadouts you can select while in the ingame rearm menu"
  24. Ok, so the answer to my question is "no". Ok. I don't use mods, and IR imaging in DCS in general really sucks and needs overhaul.
