  1. Nein, nichts.
  2. I don't think so - at least not by default. Stand to be corrected though!
  3. Usually when you place a static object in the ME you have a kind of "compass rose" in the units page on the right side, where you can select the direction it is pointing to. At least that works for Vehicles. *similar to the wind direction selectors in the weather tab.
  4. Awesome video and flying skills!
  5. And another one….. We need a counter for false positive AV panic threads. (not hitting on OP, just a general observation!) Using McAfee is a mistake in the first place. It does nothing but promising a (false) feel of security to unsuspecting users and in reality just startles them with false positives more often than not. To be clear, most AVs are guilty of that. Since the quota of false positives outweighs the actual catches of malicious stuff, they are basically useless. McAfee is just an extra <profanity>ty one. The real protection against malware is behaviour and awareness. That‘s like 95% of the protection. AVs are complementary at best. And still there is no perfect protection. If you positively need certain data to be safe, make backups and don’t use the same machine for playtime. Some actual advice: Try to stay cool, a false alarm is much more likely than an actual malicious file (assuming you stay clear of dubious file sharing etc). Go to virustotal.com and have the file in question checked. You will get much better and more reliable results there than from any single AV.
  6. You‘re right! It is much more important you guys focus on the release of the 6D anyways!
  7. @tobi @DmitriKozlowsky may it be a conflict with another mod? I don‘t have any issues with the OH-6 1.51 either. But given how frequently some mods mess up official modules, maybe they can mess up other mods too? The Blackhawk e.g. is often cause for trouble.
  8. You don’t get it. A (comparatively) big chinese company takes advantage of code that was created by enthusiasts without credit and without making their own code public as they are supposed to. It‘s not about starting a pissing contest or a legal battle, it is about calling them out for it. And by the way, that has nothing to do with patents.
  9. I wonder what kind of movement you were expecting? The corrections, especially in hovering, should be minute. The stick length is roughly comparable to real world helicopters (probably on the short side). You don‘t yank the stick around like in fixed wing. When the need to do so appears, you‘re probably doing stunt flying or are already in an upset attitude. Watch this one e.g. The funny thing with helicopters and FFB is, in my opinion, they are the least demanding (in regards to power) but benefit the most (in regards to realism) from FFB.
  10. „In bird culture this is considered a dick move!“
  11. If it was the functionality they copied, I wouldn’t have posted it here, but they they literally used the code.
  12. Just a heads up for everybody interested in the Moza FFB stick. It seems that Moza has pretty shamelessly used the Rhino Software (TelemFFB) as "inspiration" (cough) for their effects software - including ctrl+c, ctrl+v. Which is fine (fair use rules) if they also open source their software. (Which I'm not aware of right now). However, keep in mind who deserves the recognition here and who put in the real work! Cheers!
  13. Well, now I need to fire up DCS….. Don‘t worry, message received. If something broke, we‘ll be chill.
  14. You run two instances of TelemFFB (one headless if you so desire*). You can switch between Pedals and Joystick on the fly and adjust settings for each individually. *Once set up, everything starts automatically with opening Telem FFB once. Might be noteworthy: With the Rhino everything (VP control and TelemFFB) can be started, closed, restarted while DCS is already running. Also, you can change settings live while it is running. The Rhino eco-system is much more comfortable in that regard than TrackIR or VR or the likes.
  15. I might add, that the video can't really show how it feels. An important part of the FFB on pedals (and on a joystick) is the feel effect for friction damping and inertia. Which can of course be tuned individually by the user. The advantage e.g. of FFB damping over a hardware (bike-)damper is, that no amount of damping adds any sticktion.
  16. That‘s not a bug. You are not supposed to use saturation or curves with FFB sticks.
  17. No curves or saturation applied to the axis? Have you tried the different trim options in the special options? I haven’t used the Apache in a while so I can’t tell first hand right now.
  18. It's not - the latest Kit fits all MFGs. In fact I designed it with my own V2s and adapted it later for V3 as well. Kaltokri has made a FAQ with some additional things to check to be sure, but It shouldn't be a problem.
  19. Yes. All effects that can be felt through the stick can also be felt through the pedals (shudder, weapons, ground rumble etc.) On top you get increasing stiffness with airspeed. Mind though that the latter effect is not netively implemented by DCS for pedals (like all the other effects) but are provided by the TelemFFB companion app.
  20. Oof...dunno..... The upstream of the dam is always a good place to start, but I'm sure there are even better places in the mountains.
  21. Fulda Gap would be well suited for that. As a place holder I would use Caucasus.
  22. That's not true actually. You can even change it in real time while in the cockpit and see the amount of grass increase or decrease. (Well, maybe it's different from map to map)
  23. Maybe some of the LoD settings are map specific. I am not 100% sure, but I think back then I unsuccessfully tried to find some .luas to mess with.
  24. Some general best practice tips for performance and stability: - Make sure GPU is stable. Remove overclocks if applied. - Set a fixed pagefile in Windows. Recommended 32GB in and 32GB max. - Deactivate realtime Anti-Virus or at least make all DCS-Folders an exception. - Make sure you purge all your shader caches after each game and or GPU-driver update. (FXO and Metashaders in DCS/savegames as well as the GPU-Driver-Cashes) - (bonus) open windows dervices and deactivate the power service. That isn't related to stability as far as I can tell, but it improves performance/reduces stutters. Can't hurt - Don't update to W11 24H2 (if you haven't already) - You might wanna check if an older Nvidia-Driver works better for you.
  25. Awesome stuff! Can't wait!
