  1. Are you saying use the soft springs? Looking to pick one up for the rotorwing side of dcs
  2. Thank you for the great update I’m a recent purchaser but have to say it’s a wonderful map. Merry Christmas and happy holidays
  3. Its a bummer, but hopefully grace and the common goal of providing and continuing to provide the best combat sim ever gets everyone back on mission.
  4. Back in the early shark days damage on the ka50 glass was a thing, is it no longer, and ya I'm talking about from inside the pit.
  5. I'm a big fan of flechette rounds having used them allot in the carl gustav, that being said wouldn't they be basically pointless in dcs until a real damage model for all these specialty rounds gets built into dcs? Aka the ww2 damage model level amongst all ground vehicles and per warhead?
  6. I think at these early stages its certainly an eye sore in many area's especially for folks who have been to these areas. That being said and dam i wish i had pics of my time in and around Baghdad, i think ED is receiving allot of help from the community as far a visual references its my guess anyways. The mountains to the north are absolutely next gen, for DCS.
  7. Just bought the map, lets hope ED gets the patch out before the long holiday break.
  8. Good question, curious what is the era aka year or year range the map is supposed to represent? It would be a buttload amount of work for map team but if you had multiple year templates with different layouts representative of different conflicts….. that would be cool,
  9. Be deep diving much more but having been on camp justice in 2007 deployment, map needs some love, if it matched the google imagery as far as layout id be happy with that. Unfortunately don’t have pics but certainly look forward to reliving some shots in vr from the team house roof I took. Also that bridge had an Apache light some local dudes up one night and then and then lots of stories get the picture. The mountains to the north are absolutely next gen, well done. Crom
  10. Ha, just getting a pit set back up for dcs and iraq comes out sweet. Bought it and look forward to checking out camp justice and reminisce on that deployment. Wonder if the big trash pile is still near by had a hide site setup in lol. Good times. Crom
  11. Awesome news about Iraq map, look forward to finding my sniper hide on camp justice.
  12. https://forum.dcs.world/forum/312-av-8b-na/ harrier has new flir modeling meaning it’s the new system in dcs and is very sensitive to weather vehicles have been moving or using weapons or not. It’s work in progress but much more enhanced than the f18 f16 right now. Also you have to adjust gain contrast brightness in order for best picture, just like real life….
  13. Had D over head in Iraq in 2007 no Apaches track our radio signals….. we talk to them and being mostly at night Ir pointer and other ir tools used to see us….
  14. Well fly it at the real cruise speed of 70-80 and it flys pretty good…..
  15. Turn textures to medium…..
  16. in real life we have a much bigger fov with our eyeballs, in dcs with vr its equivalent to the real world nvg fov with our headsets, depending on headset and what real world nvg you use. I do agree if they push forward the nvg view in dcs kind of like the ihads in the apache would be nice and allow us vr users to see under the tubes for cockpit readability. Model the nvg forward of eyes and don't decrease the fov, as its small enough in vr
  17. No crash on my end, no mods and deleted fxo and metashaders 2 folders before trying
  18. Ill give that a mission a try as well
  19. Agree, when the Hind first came out i mentioned the need for the anti ice system, good luck doing operations in the mountains....
  20. Flir does not see a nvg ir pointer, only way for that to happen is a flir has nvg superimposed onto it, I’m sure the Apache guys will chip in about the new birds having that ability. For example us ground guys had a nvg that was both thermal and nvg so such things could happen.
  21. Speaking of kneeboard s they need the full grid reference….. the grids don’t annotate you went from a 36s to a 37s grid zone and it should.
  22. It’s the airforce so Karen would work…
