  1. Look forward to them, but also hope more dynamic Ai
  2. Been waiting for years but maybe this year…. Aka 2 weeks
  3. Tried the Mission and no go in vr just like the f18 campaign, Way to low fps and bad stuttering, Ill wait for ED to get multithreading in. 8700k at 4.9ghz and 1080ti Quest 2. Other campaigns run fine. Fps is in the teens and very bad stuttering, think its at object limit
  4. I recommend all Grids given be the full string to include the Grid Zone Identifier For example 10S GJ 0683 4468 you need the full string as allot of places you end up in a different Grid Zone, so not having the 10S in this example leads to big issues, in my experience we never gave grids without all the data, lessons learned from Loss of life due to it...
  5. Sorry I don't, as its been shown with other "games" and "Sims" I know its not the messiah, Vulcan that is. I just want and look forward to our "Combat" sim to be multithreaded so we can finally have Strategic/Theatre wide Ai that Fills in the "World" of this Digital Combat Sim... I'm not a API fan boy, but what ever the actual on the ground answer is, aka Multi-Threading which will get us to that Dynamic Campaign world we all been dreaming about in Blackshark and now DCS. Hope it Finally comes this year. In my Opinion the graphics are as good as they need to be, we need the AI behind the curtain to be able to run at a full theatre wide scenario and not tank. Some Brilliant Bought and paid for campaign's not flyable in VR, let alone in 2d in some cases will be much enjoyed once this happens. Multi-Core is being thrown around allot lately on Discord chats from ED folks, so hopefully its a sign its near release. Look forward to Multi-threading
  6. Map sounds awesome, cant wait to fly low on this one. Please run better than Marianas.
  7. Careless about Vulcan, multi threading is what’s needed and long overdue.
  8. Ya, 120 or so dollars I wish I could get back….
  9. Agree 100 percent, just got back into flying the Harrier, Viper is grounded until Pilot body is in, it just completes the deal when in VR
  10. I notice this as well with Quest 2, and in addition also notice the Blue Airfield Taxi and or marker lights
  11. Viper flys like crap in cruise with A/G ordinance up at 25 to 30+ angels if you can get that high. Yup it’s confirmed a bug with fuel tanks and a/g stores, guess the air quake was the priority…
  12. model looks good hope fps dont take a huge hit
  13. wish i could fly on marianas but that thing crushes fps 2d and vr
  14. Great test, ya because of this Ai Uber ability setting up ambush points is pointless as the ambusher’s get ambushed through the forest lol
  15. Ground folks have amazing loophole finding abilities, wish my sniper students back in the day picked up so easily. Jokes aside this does hamper allot of the campaigns and own personal mission building. On one hand the trees seem to not exist so that’s a negative then on same token in Syria especially southeast around h3 the Ai Los is really good about not detecting or engaging other units that are blocked by terrain. Hope the tree stuff gets fixed up soon, it’s also hard doing the BP in a heli when you get sniped through trees.
  16. My signature is probably ancient…. I use a quest 2, all native oculus, no mods other than changing the dcs profile from this thread, I’ve been back and forth on weather it does anything. Last night was first time flying through the mountains in Cauc map since this change and certainly felt like a new experience. This isn’t something that is way over done 3d effects I think for me it just made things have better geometry or it enhanced it, and those mountains made the viper feel insignificant. I suspect some of the changes may see or don’t see is dependent upon iPd setting in dcs and peoples iPd, yes I know iPd in dcs is basically world scale.
  17. Ok just did a Viper mission that took me from the sea to the mountains in CAUC map, those mountains have never looked so big and intimidating like they do now.. This sold it for me whatever voodoo these settings did ya certain terrain features certain experiences are certainly enhanced
  18. One instance that I do similar in the Ka50 is On Syria map especially at airfields you have all those Fighting positions you can put Vehicles, I find in a normal trajectory it will hit the Berm and not the vehicle, so aiming above and bringing down the sight onto 3/4 mark on a turret seems to get enough of a loop hole to hit. Find it fun actually. Now the Mi24 I've rarely gotten into the front seat yet, and sounds like it be a pretty cool skill shot...
  19. Would be nice.
  20. Fixed by running medium textures and low terrain textures, no clue why it’s happening either but started since Apache released
  21. Technique is real, weather its valid these days is a debatable but it was taught and practiced wouldn't be in a manual, its doctrine, and back in those days that's all you had was practice day and night. That's like saying all the training folks get to take somebody down and break their neck, but go down range and never do it because the opportunity didn't dictate it, so now its not a valid technique and nobody does it... Its a tool in the tool box, its their when you need it. Anyway now I want to deep dive into the mi24 sighting system... so that's a plus
  22. So here’s how my brain works maybe I’m wrong but your sight is the aim point for that missile. As documents state they use to have the aim point above target on launch and then bring it down to tgt. Sniper world we engage moving targets, we know range, size of target, and estimated speed. That with calculations gives us our lead in mil hold both for tracking and ambush techniques. I imagine maybe I’m wrong but with this sight in a mi24 and it’s reticle same sort of stuff can be achieved. I’m sure they took time of flight and distance into calculations in order to make “certain” shots possible. This using brain power and not some modern fancy computer. But hey I could be wrong but I don’t think I am and I bet crews did some really cool calculations and really making use of that sight for great success.
  23. Lots of folks train to use certain techniques and never are given the chance to use them in anger. I would wager that if a former mi24 pilot was interviewed and was cleared to say so, many tricks of the trade would be exposed. Stuff doesn't get into a manual because its absolute non sense, its in a manual for a reason, its long vetting processes. But any ways
  24. I say it makes operational sense, for example look at all the vehicle Fighting positions in Syria map, in Apache I constantly use hi profile for hellfire in order to top attack. Real world I imagine in Hind it be same sort of thing and from what has been said about techniques in a manual it sounds legit. Now I do think it may be a coding issue but doesn’t George do Hi profile with a hellfire?
  25. Interesting, I just got back into the F18 and noticing at least Shore landing with turbulence the Flight control system is going bananas, Not sure if user error or not but Lots of Nose up and Down movement and seems the system cant keep up...
