  1. If you´re talking about carrier deck config: I use real life pics as a guide to mimic the carrier deck. We´ve got so much information available you just need to look around. I use docs and listen to podcasts which also help me understand the dynamic of the carrier deck of a supercarrier.
  2. No prob, glad i could help in some sort. I have some cockpit liveries too and i just added the line i mentioned earlier to the description.lua of the liveries and then the kneeboard shows fine. Enjoy!
  3. I do always my walkaround in VR (and even go by car/bus to the ramp), so, i don´t want/need any animation that would take my walkaround from me. And usually animations like that don´t work well for VR due to the fact it induces nausea.
  4. This issue happened to me on the legacy Hornet when using the CJS Superbug mod. If you´re using a cockpit liverie, or, using the CJS mod add this line to the description.lua (in the case of CJS mod add the line to the .lua file of the mod): {"Pilot_F18_FP_Map", 0, "mfd3", true};
  5. I´m sorry to hear that lee1hy. I don´t get it... people really think that they can steal content work and not get caught? and it´s depicable attitude.
  6. I think is mentioned in NATOPS you should wait 5 secs after wings are fully spread to lock to prevent damage before turning the handle to lock.
  7. Missing an important point, don´t follow the needles (ICLS) in close or else you´ll hit the deck or overpower when you notice that you´re low at the ramp and then get a bolter in the best scenario. The scan should be Meatball, glidescope, AoA, until touchdown.
  8. Only tomorrow i will do a test flight. Did the landing animation/caracteristics were improved or the landing animation is still cartoonish? the animation of the Hornet at carrier traps was clunky.

    Unfortunately no. I´ve been asking for this since day one of the Hornet. Some time ago i used the Blue Angels Equipment mod because it has the option to bind a key for stow/unstow the boarding ladder but the mod itself doesn´t work anymore. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307121/
  11. As i wrote earlier im FB: I use 0 DCS core liveries in my Viper and Hornet (and in any other aircraft or AI). I´m a Hornet guy but i like to fly and learn new procedures with the Viper and one of the main reasons i love to fly the Viper are the outstanding liveries created by the very talented Gunfighter06, Wolfthrower, Kerbo416, Texac or Lee1hy (if i am missing more names i´m sorry for that). I understand the disk size matter (some of the liveries i use have +1 gb) but that don´t explain ED position on this subject. I´m just wanted to say thank you to all the liverie creators for enrich my flight experience with all your countless hours of work for the community. My thanks are the same towards ED. I just wish that we all walk in the same direction.
  12. Negative. I use Win10 and it happens on my side. If i try to launch from ME it hangs at PostStart, but if i launch from the main menu (single player) and for any reason it won´t load the mission i launch the mission first in MP and then go back to the ME the mission loads with no issues, works every time so not a big bummer for now because i use this fix.

  14. Yeah... i did a small test now and it only open the AB a few secs after leaving the deck and only engine 1, to open the AB in engine 2 i need to reduce/add power so i have AB in both engines (note: i use the special option "AB detent always on").
  15. You need to unpack it (like any other .zip liverie) and place it on the DCS savedgames Liveries folder. If you don´t have the folder you need to create it and name it exactly as it is in DCS core folder. Check how is it created on my side:
  16. Mine yesterday only loads in MP after the second attempt. Are you using the Supercarrier in your missions? i´m asking this because if i delete the Supercarrier and all the statics on deck i have no poststart hang and mission loads normally. Although i need more testing for confirmation.
  17. @Nealius The only thing that works for me is the workaroung mentioned earlier, launch the mission in MP, exit, then launch the mission in Mission Editor or launch the mission normally. Tried to erase the %TEMP% folder content but then the mission gives me at launch script errors. Tried to restore the contents from Recycle Bin to the %TEMP% again and it just hungs and don´t restore the files (mainly .Ogg files).
  18. BRC = boat heading (CASE I/CASE II) FRC (Final heading) = runway heading ( CASE III).
  19. - On the first page of this thread you have a YT link with a tutorial. - No, but there´s a ground crew chief mod around (they are profiles, and sounds, to use/add with Voice Attack and Vaicom).
