  1. WOOOW! I changed visibility extreme->high and clouds form ultra->high, as before i had like +/- 2-3fps with those. Now syria map, msaa 4x, sharpened 0,6 no dlss anything 44 fps on the ground. Thats +1/3 (~+30%) fps for me Those correlate now (at least for me) way much more what comes to fps. Ofc cant see so far, but this fps lvl was pretty much with "no filters + in the flight high, no other planes around" - stuff before, with my computer. Clearly something has also done right in the patch, was it MT or not. (did not try yet does those settings corralete as much with ST , in 2.9. Ofc it can be also the patch only, but i totally will keep running it like this and now i PLAY Have thumbled with settings since yesterday, more or less. Restless soul and so on.. ;D
  2. I bet they have been more or less beat up to max, before carrier, just for testing. But ofc it is not in that shape when drawn from package to deck first time I like the worness of the cockpit, the model itself is VERY nice, pretty much in every aspect, but yes, alternative cockpit age could be something (and again 10gigs more of nice little texture files.. =^__^=)
  3. Atleast MT-DCS seem to use cpu much more, where it has been confusingly low before. I can also verify huge change in cpu temp. Now the fans are on level that they are in many other games, which i think is good sign in this case? (not sure..) OR ofc that doesnt tell <profanity> just like that, but AT LEAST cpu is doing something much more My old i5 4960K 6mb OC unlocked crazy old workhorse likes to calculate stuff! No seriously, there really seems to be noticable difference, at least when looking with windows tools, how it uses cpu vs non mt-version. Dunno if thats ment to. It has not crashed eather, as normal version of 2.9 did few times yesterday when playing campaign. Dunno if it has been just luck, time will show. Seems that mt version runs better for now in my computer. Nice. I really dont know anything about this stuff, though know "something" about pc´s as worked in pc industry, BUT it was in 90´s ;D No Multi anything back then. Multimedia maximus.
  4. Hmm. My problems seem to be much more higher in Syria map vs others. And that is just in some certain "points" in the map (which even arent so big really, when get in air fly few miles, everything ok more or less (until crossing to samekind of point in map). This got my interest because -> I trialed it (syria) spring 2023 and did not buy it, because had fps problems in many airfields (noticable reported, later corrected few bugs(?), if I remember correctly?). Ok they were corrected, or at least now augst 2023 trialed syria map again and "oh it works now"->bought it. (those fps problems were gone in august in the syria map) Now the same style of lagging in graphics, just by with some new spices. Or then its just my computer. But cant get my mind out the fact that i had samekind of problems with that map earlier. Does somebody with older gpu reply this?
  5. Basically same feeligns. Played now 4 missions and seems nice campaing, as flied hornet for a year now, and played pretty much every other DLC campaing for hornet. There is couple i havent bought. This didnt get me feeling that it is too hard or too easy. So points for that, seems pretty good for more or less playable for every skill level. Maby for beginners the lack of damage information is something that scare someones. (at least it confused me at begininng, as I just thought "oh my bombs was untriggerd? why nothing happened"-stylish As I consider my self "just learned hornet" and also am eager to change payloads (just to train use of fire with different ammunation, (i like to do that, by replaying missions, with different weaponry, when I know how the mission can be played trough, its ofc easier to focus to weapon settings etc..). Have you noticed where and in which limits one can change payloads without destroying triggers? One can at least fill empty stations / pylons ? EDIT: for every campaing maker: In future i would love to see some listings what are the settings that builder has "forced" to campaing (if there is any). It just makes sometimes things confusing, while not knowing is problem "in me" or in mission Well you get it. It would be nice to see the mission settings, just written, screenshot, something.. This would help also new players, who has a lot of more stuff to think, and gets clear how to even try things and how not.
  6. Does this mean threads of GPU or CPU? In which conditions i would like to want to use mt-dcs.exe (c:\\dcsmainfolder\mt-bin\mt-dcs.exe. What is the concrete difference, while i dont have a clue which one I want or even shoudl use. Nor what it does / should not do. It starts though, I have pretty old computer (intel i54960k, gtx 960 4gb, 20gb ddr3, ssd (SATA). I have seen text multithreading for years in boxes of pc stuff, but havent really ever desided to look what it means? Sound cool and fast though. So could somebody tell me something about this. What is it, how is it used, why is it used, and who can use it and how one knows it. And even then, what is the difference between mt-dcs.exe and dcs.exe? which one should I start, or does it do it automatically. MT-dcs.exe does, as mentioned, start in my computer, but did not notice any difference, though dont know even where to look... ;D Thought this might be good to ask before I cry later..
  7. I have pretty old computer. I dont have that "shaking" (like in that jsow video), but i think i have pretty much same problem, my lag just is 2-5 secs in every "freeze" Was very surprised first while trialing with "instant action" and just flying around with Hornet, with pretty much my old settings. (i still changed everything once, and then back just in case) that there was pretty much 30fps over kobuleti airfield, as it was somewhere near 19-26 before. BUT when changing view to any direction, graphics start to "nogde" (dont know right english word for this). It just freezes for a moment and then continues. its like 30->play->pause->30->play->pause-30-pause-pause-pause, pretty random. Havent found any setting it corraletes with, have tried pretty much every setting from low to high and customs. Graphics are now like a car, where fuel is running low, just before engine shuts completly Kangaroo graphics.
  8. Hmm interesting. I have heard sometimes, from old RIO, stories how some buttons in radar stick got stuck etc. (in hard places also.. :P) . Salt ofc does its job in ocean. In DCS i really like while trialed F-14 how the model itself is made. Even the sounds are so nice in swithes that first time I just halted /jammed to pushing all buttons.. And I really have feeling in turns that some big thing is shaking and rattling. I bet as electrician that with that vibration, was and salt etc, was pretty usual to have some connection problems in switches... (?) But yeah, I dont like flying f-14 as much as f-18 or f-16, but it was really fun. As model f-14 goes straight to the top. The feeling being in BIG plane is just somehow succeeded nicely.
  9. Yup. Thats the plate I ment But yeah. Just was confused as cockpit changed while playing same mission, 3 times (after reseting/restarting the mission ofc..) My first thought was that i have put somekind of ground crew thingamob on ;D "chief, put coverplate on". What the heck is that plate IRL BTW? That other wire-thing version skin is somekind of paperholder? (or supposed to look like one to be more presice)
  10. Ok. Was confused, when there first was metal plate that hadnt seen (and didnt find) in any vids etc. I knew it was ment to be there ofc. Was jus hilarious when hadnt seen that ever before. Looks cool though.
  11. What is this wire thingamob over my wpn buttons? (gun speed, msl prep + sidewinder cooling buttons..) Havent seen it before, though before have only trialed f-14 - about 6 months ago. I dont see that in youtube videos? What is it? When i reload there is first metal black plate half over those buttons, and the reset the mission there is that wire etc etc. Is it just upgraded cockpit outlook, or what? As I said I´m noob to f-14 so dont have any clue about anything.
  12. IF (and when) i get 8 digit number from JTAC, do I enter it same way (split half and zeros to end..) ? (so like in video put just one zero´s after numbers, instead of two zeros?)
  13. I have noticed, that it usually (pretty rare) replies when autostartup is used.. But sometimes (much more rare) replies also in manual coldstart. Oh yeah btw, seems if changng weapons on the deck sometimes AI freezes after that into the deck. (i dont need to change weapons on the deck, and very rare do that, it would be bad mission planning from me, just noticed when done sometimes) (doing nothing). But these are, well, DCS OB... Basically compared to how big this campaing is, the problems in it are VERY few. More or less in every DLC campaing there is something, and even more in user files campaigns. There isnt ANY problems, or I havent had, while the flight itself is going on, ofc DCS normal problems, but I was pretty surprised after other dynamic DLC campaing, how working this was. And yes, it would be very nice to hear comments about campaing and tactics in it from other ones. I dream in future that we would see these kind of SP campaigns, where one could even choose which planetype he wants to fly. I know it is alot for now, but in that way it would get so near multiplayer as possible. That would be very cool. But yeah, I want to point one more time to you and ppl, that this worked. The bugs it had was so little that they did not slow or stop my gaming.

As I said that´s really not a problem for me - Just wanted to be sure, that the problem is not in my DCS install or logbook etc. BTW, now third time playing the campaing. Just cant keep my hands out from it. Great practice, now when I know (about) what is happening in the campaing, to train with weird loadouts. Good practice for use of fire, like bombing sequences etc. Also great way to test multirole skills, as I played the second time the campaing, more or less.
  15. As one can drop his own ext. tanks / selective - I wonder - is there ANY way to get my AI wingmen drop their ext. fuel tanks? Like in F-15C when i tell my wingman to "jettison weapons" AI first time drops just the ext.tanks, and then at second time radio command to jettison weapons, AI drops the weapons. Is there any way in F-16 to get AI drop JUST the empty (or half-full doesnt matter here) external tanks? In Hornet have also many times wondered the same thing. If commanded "jettison weapons" in High fidelty mods, they immediatly drop everything. If there is not implemented any way, maby @Eagle Dynamics could fit same type of "sequence" of radio commands for jettisoning ai´s stuff.. ? (like in f-15C for example) Dunno if there is, havent found any info atleast about this. And sry for littlebit offtopic, but i think this can fit here also, as we speak about f-16 jettisons. Sry for my crappy spelling. I´m Finnish
  16. I found myself thingking, back in the days learning dcs, many times finding myself cursing planes which didnt have possibility to reset cotrol surfaces / "reset trim". Could that be added in future maby, like mandatory setting (or in game mode etc), that there would be general key to reset ctrl surfaces to point zero / user made chages to ctrl surface positions. Maby by that way one could add something like that in code..? REALLY dont know, but could it be possible. It still woudl help A LOT the beginners, though it could be also a bad habit to get used to. Hmm..
  17. Oooh! Very Nice. Have kinda waited that I can get back to Op. Pontus! Thank you! Atleast customer service gets 5/5 feedback in this case. Rarely I can talk straight to makers of content of a game. And thats I think what is best in DCS community. And what comes to those SEAD probs, dont really know. I played umm 3(?) missions, with those error messages, and did not really bother to test it out with different "settings" yet. I can write back about that, when done some playing. Thanks again. Hope you guys get it workin, so far have had great fun with op pontus and flaming sunrise (both F/A-18C dynamic SP´s). I KNOW both will be fun, when one just gets "doing new stuff in the beginning" to muscle memory, and campaing going "to its rails". Had great time also with Flaming Sunrise. The idea of these are pretty much near working. It seemed much at first try, and second, and maby third.. but when i got into it-> best action i have had in DCS SP. So keep it up. These is pretty much "nearly there", and still i feel already they were totally worth the money. When these really gets rolling, heck I could even pay more (compared to normal SP DLC campaing).
  18. BTW: Have on question about DSC menus and logbook reading of dynamic missions. What I have noticed, is that while starting DCS and i go first time to campaing menu, -> click F/A-18C and choosing/clicking first time (after loading dcs), in the campaing menu,DCS seems to load dynamic missions logbooks weirdly long (normally info of missiong progress comes to screen immediatly, this can take ~30-40seconds..) Is this normal? This really doesnt bother my gaming anyways, but thought it would be nice to ask/report..? Can others reply this?

  21. Hmm. Seems that i tried it too near. Or then the problem was 3mavs on the same station, I will try again with more missiles. Got it working with two, from a hot plane from the end of the runway. Does it matter do i press SP or not. I mean if i just like press override two times can i do aligment like that? Do I have to get it SP first? Cause SP I cant get working on the ground. Dunno if it supposed to..? SP works in the air though. But yeah. Seems that the missiles stayed more or less in aling just by doing it to vehicles in the other end of the runway (1xMav D´s on two different stations). Also auto handoff worked after that to em. So it seems to work.
  22. Same thing here. It actually seems that when i switch between stations while boresighting and then immediatly test selwing the tpod after boresighting em, every station has lost its boresighting. It seems not to stay in the memory right after one moves tpod little bit. Dunno why. Have not experience doing this before, but have now done 12hours fo tutorials step by step with it, and if the tutorials on the youtube are not totally wrong, there is something weird in boresighting. In tutorials they just boresight to something in front of em and then test slewing the tpod and swithing trough stations by pressing msl step->their missiles stay boresighted and looks where tpod looks, while mine has pretty much same difference that there was before (seems that the boresighting just loses when i go off one station /soi something other etc. Any clue how is this going now? Should it work in OB? (have latest version whatever it is 2.8.x)
  23. Why my Tpod is looking down left in coldstart (in the ground trying to aling / boresight the mavs) It looks totally in weid direction. Should it do that? Or is there still known problems with snowplow, or am I doing something wrong. (yes it reacts to pressing sp, but turns the tpod about 45 degrees left from the front of the plane. Has it something to do with my aligment or a I just doing something wrong?
