  1. Same here.
  2. I haven’t touched the hornet in months as I’ve been flying the ‘14 for my Air to Air hit. Thought landing the hornet would be a nice easy break from our more analogue friend…then I flew over the ramp. Holly crap. Burble and pitching over the ramp is crazy. This really doesn’t seem right…certainly can’t fly the ball to touch down. F14 landing is waaaaay easier. Who would thought?
  3. The solution I’d like to see is: Ghost AI pilot control position indicators displayed On player returning to pilot position aircraft retains AI control positions (ie player control inputs ignored) player matches AI ghost control positions and presses trim to regain control of aircraft Similar approach works perfectly in the Huey using its crew autopilot.
  4. I'd imagine it's not a perfect system in real life and ED just use a random number to model this rather than make some unnecessarily complex algorithm. See all those KA52s getting shot down in Ukraine? Clearly advanced CMWS and counter measures are not impregnable defences, so don't rely on them. As important is tactics and intelligence of operational area / target defences.
  5. Hi, I own both the download version of Blackshark and the upgrade to BS2 but I’m not getting the discounted price (asking for $69.99) when I add to my basket.
  6. Hmm, I own the non-Steam version of BS1 & 2 and but when I go to purchase (whilst being logged in) it wants $69.99
  7. I just finished the campaign and absolutely loved it! Immersive, challenging but most of all fun! I'm wouldn't consider myself a very experienced Huey pilot (25hr after this campaign) but I'd been playing around in some of the medivac single player missions and had got proficient enough to hover and land a light bird - a bit of practise in a fully loaded Huey might have been a good idea though... Difficulty level was set just right with the amount of enemy units and AAA. The tick-tick-tick of getting hit really always had me on the edge of my seat. The voice acting was excellent and the missions were varied and interesting. I'm glad there were only 12 missions as now I can stop itching to find time for the next one! I had no idea how to use the radio before I started the campaign, but it quickly made sense. Only other tips I'd give are: (1) make sure you know how to align the radio compass to match the magnetic compass (2) know your short cut to auto-pilot level flight and (3) keep an eye on your EGC temp gauge - easy to burn out the engine if you're not careful. Brilliant! 5/5
  8. I have the exact same problem. Can't map cargo unhook to my warthog. Very weird.
  9. Taken me about five attempts to complete the first mission - can't wait to get stuck in to the others!
  10. I look forward to seeing if I can find my way round London and drive down to Dover.
  11. I love the rainbow
  12. Doesnt the radar switch to flood if the lock is broken, so if the target is near the ADL it may still guide?
  13. Oh pretty please let something be done about this. I didn't know about the LUA mod of past, that would be a simple quick fix.
  14. From release I've found the nose drop in two phases of flight: decelerating towards 40kts and passing 70kts - both require hard pulling back of stick. I wondered if it was a bug.
  15. Hah! Listened to it again on the turbo yesterday!
  16. @Frederf Thank you for the epic reply! Very helpful.
  17. Hi All I was looking for a post that explained what all the features on the DSC > Settings > M2000C Special Options did. I've had search and not found anything and its not mentioned in the manual. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!
  18. Great story! Bravo on getting down safely.
  19. Haha, I have GTX 950...try that if you want to talk about needing better hardware!!!
  20. Just another note regarding your video. In the oil in the water campaign thread you mentioned being ambushed/killed by the second fighter. When you turned right toward the bandits you closed range on them both and allowed them to stay close to one another. Had you turned left, the second fighter would've been further back which would've have helped keep you out of his engagement range for longer and created separation between the two fighters.
  21. Enjoyable article. Sometime I try to forget about what the future may bring otherwise it feels I'm perpetually waiting for the next thing rather than enjoying what we have now.
  22. Oh lordy, I saw this update in the patch notes: "Petrovich AI, Added ability to track air targets and guide ATGM for attacking them. (Mi-24 ATGM aiming device abilities against air targets is limited to certain speeds, do not expect good results against fast movers and even helicopters can evade this attack with evasive maneuvering). In the next update we are planning to tune it more and add customization options for mission editor to allow restriction of this ability." I'm tappin' my Wizard of Oz red heals twice in the hope that this will get applied to AI Mi-24s who blast me out of the sky with the precision of a Navy Seal sniper!
  23. Ah that's why! I thought it was to stop enemy forces picking you up on radar and ascertaining the carriers location ...which clearly makes no sense as you may have aircraft in the stack circling above.
  24. My new 11600k cpu arrived today. I currently run a 3570k (!) so it won’t be anything but good for me, even if it’s a lame upgrade compared to more recent cpu releases eg 9700k/10700k/Ryzen 5600k. Doubt I’ll get more FPS but certainly will help keep what I get now more stable when lots going on. Shame I doubt I’ll be able to upgrade from my gtx960 2gb anytime soon
  25. My order #6008 arrived today (in UK). Took about 45 minutes all in to set up, calibrate and test in game. Few sweaty moments when closing up trying to make sure didn't pinch any wires but seems to be working so I assume I was successful! My only thought is I may try the 'foam behind the button' from earlier in this thread to give the mini stick a bit of resistance. Anyway, light years better than the Thrustmaster nipple.
