From the Check SIx Discord: Dear DCS Community, It is with a heavy heart that we at Check Six Simulations regret to inform you that we have made the extremely difficult decision to cease development of all DCS products effective immediately and close down the business. This is a result of solely internal matters within Check Six. We would like to take the chance to thank the community and ED, for all the ongoing support and feedback throughout our development. We wish the very best for the DCS community moving forward, onwards and upwards. Thank you Check Six Management

Legal things do not work like this, we cannot give any estimated times right now of if or when this will be resolved.
-
It is something we plan on doing at some point, plenty of reports on it internally, but it just hasn't happened yet. I will make sure it's noted that this is a very desired feature. Thanks!

I just tried it, and I am seeing no issue, I will say when I had my old Thrustmaster throttle I had issues like this that I had to use curves to 'tame', but I am using WinWing and it moves as well as the TGP and both are very 'tame' I am sure I could make it even better with curves if I was inclined to but I see no need to right now. The reasons we give options for things like curves, etc is because different set ups can experience different things, and we cant offer a one size fits all solution on everything.

I just read the 'story' on reddit, it looks to me like someone was in such a hurry to post something they thought was exciting and would get views that they didn't read far enough to see it was a mistake. Nothing has changed, we all just need to try and be patient waiting for a resolution and filter out the white noise.
-
On reddit... that is all I need to know. Nothing has changed.
-
Yup, and still on the 'want to do' list I think it's just waiting for some developer free time.
-
No need to single anyone out, many people have continued to keep this thread going for good or bad. Its ok to come here and vent, but attacking each other will not fix it faster. I am sure they are both well aware of all customers' feelings on this, I can speak personally that Nick Grey does. I am sure both equally want to get this settled and back to as normal business as is possible as soon as possible.

Everyone needs to turn it down a couple of notches, please.

Much of what you described seemed to be mission design, but its hard to say with little to no details, although I know this isn't a bug report thread. Also things in real life are not perfect, and things do not go as planned, most mission makers are making missions that result in furballs or closer action. You describing systems working and not working could have been triggers of some form or another, or any number of things. AI is always being improved but then it will always be AI at the end of the day, it will always do things unexpected or fly a maneuver better than a human, or worse. As we are always up against the performance barrier you need to have a little give and take. Same with most modern missiles, they are only as good as in the info we have, and many systems are light on available info, not to mention it is a game, so people quickly figure out how to game the game. There is a lot more to these things than an Airbus flying from point A to point B.

[DCS 2.9.11.4686] F-5E Remaster Missing Weapons
NineLine replied to _BringTheReign_'s topic in Wish List
Not sure how that has any relation here, but we have plenty of documentation on the Spitfire. So please don't get silly with these comments. I have not heard anything about the M or L right now. -
Yeah its not clear, I think we can make a reasonable guess, but would be nice to see it detailed.
-
Well, honestly it's just time that we need for a dev to get back to it. My only concern is the proper procedures for jettison, as there is no specific button or switch, but I have given them a couple of ideas that should work, but right now its just waiting on someone to be able to spend some time on it.

Do you mean the screenshots above?

Steam users can install the standalone and use the trials as well if they like. But at the end of the day trials are not to really learn a module. It's just a brief look to see if it's something you would like to buy and learn and enjoy.

Mosquito's artificial horizon fails on shutdown
NineLine replied to ssn's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi, thanks for the report, it is already reported that there are errors in the AH where there shouldn't be, it's not a Mossie issue but more of an issue in many modules. I will bump it internally but it is reported. thanks! -
We are getting close to releasing the next section, we will share it in the newsletter when it's released. Thanks.

I don't know, but nowhere does it tell you to do that. And it seems you can do the same thing in the real thing and mess up the rockets as you are required to make sure its reset to 1.
-
In the real manual: It suggests it needs to be reset at the end of the mission, and is called a counter in the manual. So it is not a selector at all and should not be used as such.
-
Please read what I said though, I see no indication that you are supposed to pick anything but 1 on the rocket counter, they are set to come off in a specific order, there is no reason to change that, that I can see. As I said though, maybe you guys have another document stating that the pilot can pick and choose what rocket to shot and why?
-
We are looking at what makes the most sense, right now the top thing would be at least a refresh texture option in the sim to allow changes to be loaded, but it all takes time and its about having someone free to work on it. I am still keeping on it though, and Management does recognize that its important to offer these features.
-
According to our manual and real manuals, you have two choices in firing the rockets. In singles and in Salvo. To fire rockets, perform the following steps: Turn the Rocket Counter dial to 1. Set the Bomb-Rocket Selector switch to ROCKETS. To nose-arm the rockets for delay upon impact, set the delay switch to DELAY. To fire rockets singly, set the Rocket Release Control switch to SINGLE and press the Bomb-Rocket Release button on the control stick once for each rocket. To fire all rockets in train (ripple), set the Rocket Release Control switch to AUTO and hold the Bomb-Rocket Release button depressed for approximately one second while the rockets are fired. I have not seen any reference to setting the counter to any other number than 1. Following the proper procedures in the manual, I do not see an issue here. If you have other references, I am happy to take a look, thanks!

Thanks both, I will check out today. It was never marked as reported or acknowledged so I don't think it was ever reported internally.
