We will not be discussing anything while it is being worked out, no.
-
I am not worried about going off-topic really in this thread, there is not anything really to discuss that hasn't been said in the OP. The only things we are concerned about here are fighting between each other, and wild conspiracy theories on both sides. As always if you see something you feel breaks the rules and needs removed, you can report it. I would also note people do not see warnings and hidden posts, so suggesting we are picking on one side more than another isn't really the case, although one side might come up with wilder theories than the other.
-
It's the evolution of a forum thread, now you are complaining about people who complain about complainers going off-topic. Technically it didn't break, rather it shut off.
-
I'll keep it in mind
-
I can't get into details, all I can say as there is communication and the goals remain to come to an agreement that can allow everyone to move forward.
-
Maybe you both should take a break from this thread, go enjoy some DCS, go enjoy another game, just go enjoy something. None of this bickering will do anything but leave ill will long after this is settled.
-
It's enough now, we are only going on official info, that is all that can be and will be discussed here. Also if you guys want to argue amongst yourselves, you are welcome to take it to DMs, we don't need it here. And this goes for EVERYONE, I am not picking on one person on this point.

I'm not sure why it would be unclear other than this is a special circumstance. However, as any refund might go where the user is basically exchanging modules, the sale would be like any normal sale for that 3rd Party. I know there is another narrative out there but the mat doesn't math for that theory.
-
Wait, they remade Groundhog Day? (yes I know I am off topic but this thread needs it) The refunds are not done with ED Miles.
-
Just hidden a few messages, lets not resort to name calling, this includes the people at RAZBAM, please and thank you.

Yet another purge has been completed, you can find the old posts here: I kindly remind you all, once again, to treat each other with the kindness and respect you expect to be treated with. Everyone has their opinions and we are allowing them to be shared here within reason. We are also being more easygoing unless people start stepping well over the line. Nothing is new from the official statements above. I know there is a lot of noise out there, and it's hard to determine what is real and what is Reddit rambling. All I can say right now is to stick to the official comments and try and remain as patient as you can be for a resolution one way or another. It's a legal issue currently and we cannot and will not comment further than what we have already. Thanks The ED Team.

That is simply not true, no one sees each other's warnings or infractions here, nor do you see posts that have been hidden. If you feel something has been posted that is unfair or breaks the rules, use the report post function, otherwise its not up for discussion or debate. Probably all of us need one these days This thread was built on cringe, it needs cringe to survive, it eats well

Sorry, I had to remove that post by Viper, at some point, I have to draw the line at completely outlandish theories. People come here for official news, some things just skew the truth much MUCH too hard. Please save the wild theories no matter what side you feel you are on. Stop now, a lot of people got their names in ED materials over the years for testing or some other welcomed task, doesn't mean she is on the payroll as an ED operative, I think she would be the first to admit she is lousy at it
-
Unless they made a new official statement, I would not regard that as info coming from the company called RAZBAM. Once again let's all, both sides, try to focus on what we know officially and not outside white noise that cannot be confirmed.

Drama, we don't have enough of it yet

DCS: AH-64D | Radar Map Mode In this DCS: AH-64D video, we’re back to the Fire Control Radar, or FCR. We’re going to go over the Radar Map, or RMAP, mode. Like the FCR GTM mode we discussed earlier, we can still use the FCR to detect and classify ground targets and low-flying aircraft, but we’ll also be able to generate a radar-image of the terrain to provide target reference and situational awareness. Let’s get started. I’m at a 60-foot hover and we’ll first get the FCR up and running by bringing up FCR and then the Utility page. From here we’ll unpin the Mast Mounted Assembly, MMA, override the BIT to save some time, and exit the utility page. We’ll now make the FCR our sight. By default, we’re in the familiar GTM format, but let’s switch to the RMAP format by adjusting our controls on the CP/G left handgrip. You can also set on the Pilot’s collective mission grip. Set LHG FCR Mode Switch – RMAP (Radar Map) to the binding of your choice. We can now see the FCR format on the left display. Let’s discuss it. The main display, or FCR Footprint, is in a traditional B-Scope format of azimuth and range, just like most air-to-air radars you’ll find in DCS. Note that when scanning, the scanning azimuth will stay stabilized along that azimuth, regardless of aircraft maneuvering. With the left and right arrows, we can shift our scan left or right, just like in GTM. Remember that you can only do this when the FCR is not transmitting. The top of the display represents 8km and 45-degrees to either side when the scan size is in Wide. There are three horizontal range lines that indicate 2, 4, and 6 km. In between, along the left side of the FCR Footprint are small lines indicating 1, 3, 5, and 7 km in between ranges. Sweeping back and forth when the FCR is transmitting is the Scan Wiper alternating between near and far scans. At the top center of the FCR RMAP display is a small line, this is the FCR Center Line. To the far left and right of the FCR Center Line are three additional lines that indicate medium, narrow and zoom scan sizes. Medium is a total of 45-degrees, Narrow is a total of 30-degrees, and Zoom is a total of 15-degrees. These can be selected either from the CPG Right Handgrip FCR Scan Size Switch or the Pilot’s collective mission grip. [Using ZOOM (button R1) enters a 6:1 zoom area, but this is different than the Zoom Scan size.] You can adjust display brightness with the Brightness (BRT) knob and brightness of the radar video image using the Video (VID) knob. I generally max-out the VID knob. You’ll notice many similar functions in RMAP as we saw in GTM, they all behave the same. These include the Next to Shoot (NTS), C Scope (C SCP), number of detected targets, ZOOM, RF Handover (RFHO), Acquisition Source, antenna elevation control, and storing Target points (TGT). Please see my earlier FCR GTM video on these. Regarding antenna elevation control, one particularly useful function of RMAP is to see whether your FCR is reaching the intended area on the battlefield, which may not always be the case in areas of hills and valleys. If you have dark bands of radar dead space running along the top or bottom of the FCR Footprint, you may wish to manually adjust the antenna elevation. For example: if the bottom of the FCR Footprint is entirely dark, you may need to manually adjust the antenna elevation down until you have a complete picture, which may happen if you are hovering over a hill and attempting to scan down into a valley below. Target detections in GTM and RMAP are interchangeable when not transmitting. Meaning, you can perform a scanburst in one mode, switch to the other mode, and the targets would still be displayed. You’ll note that we have a few target detections and indentations. These operate just the same as in GTM. The big difference is that we can also make out the terrain in relation to them. As you can see, the targets lie between lighter areas that indicate terrain relief (reflected radar energy). Because we are so low, the display is quite dark. However, looking outside, we can see the valley indicated on the RMAP. So, we can determine that the targets are in the valley ahead of us. Dark areas on the RMAP indicate surfaces that are not reflecting radar energy, or they are in a radar blind spot. Meaning, obstructions from terrain elevation make the area appear as black. You never know what may be waiting for you in one of these “dead spaces”. Beware. Just like GTM, we can send a radar-Hellfire down range using RMAP. I’ll switch to LINK to get my eyes on it. From this angle, I’m not getting a good look at it on the TADS. I’ll still WAS my Hellfires and fire off a couple. As mentioned, the RMAP picture is not fantastic when scanning very flat terrain at shallow angles. I’ll bring ‘er up to 300 feet and you’ll see a dramatic difference. Particularly with the VID knob up, you have a much clearer terrain picture using RMAP, and we can detect several more targets with the higher vantage point. This is a great tool for building battlefield awareness. Let’s use our last two Hellfires on them.

I'm looking into this, thanks.

You dont have to send a track file and settings if you don't like, but please keep any responses here related to the report. This is not helpful. Thanks.

Thanks, I have asked the team about it. Or you are over analyzing it.
-
Can you point me to a bug report about it? Thanks.

Sigh.... you are comparing a module that is still supported to a hypothetical situation where the developer leaves DCS which is not the goal. Hypothetically the modules other than the F-15E are in a state that they could continue to be enjoyed for years to come in the state they are in. That doesn't mean they could not be improved, but if the developer is not here to do so, and the source files are not passed to someone who could then they will not continue to be developed. The F/A-18C is still supported and we will continue to improve as needed. I am not sure how that comparison works, but there you go. You are splitting hairs now, or looking for a fight. Please move on from this now. We want to see RB continue and would love the Harrier and others to grow and expand. Obviously, that cannot happen if they are frozen, but they are still great modules as they stand. That's it.
-
She was helping people understand that we will keep things working at the state they are at now, you needed to understand what that completed state is, which is something for you to go find out. The F-15E of all their modules is the only one that isn't at an acceptable state of completeness. You are just trying to start yet another off-shoot discussion about what you feel is complete vs someone else. I am stopping you both from continuing down an off-topic vein. Ask her in DMs if you feel you need to know that bad. Or ask on the RB Discord which modules are out of EA or feature complete.
-
It's off-topic here, you can do that research on your own.
-
Let's not talk about that place at all, please. It has no relevance here.
-
We have to wait and see how things turn out after the dust settles and look at it then. The waters are too muddy to really see how it will all shake out. It's not clear if anyone has moved on, and even then it's not unusual for teams to lose people and gain new ones. It happens for other reasons, but again we are stressing results that may or may not happen.
