Assuming you are on the CORRECT GLIDESLOPE, just align the left horizontal bar of your nose indicator at the base of the meatball rack and keep it there until touchdown. Trust it. With this, I have 100+ traps on various wires, frequent 3-wire (no wire is a bad wire), only 4 bolters with zero crashes/ramp strikes.

While I feel for those with decent rigs having issues, I guess I am one of the lucky ones that does not experience performance issues. I only run the OB and always stay up to date. I run everything with Max settings and have been all along. Do not see stutters/performance issues others speak of. This rig is approacing 5 years of age with the only upgrade being the 1080TI and the Rift

If u make this argument for grass since this is a simulation, that means everything in this world has to be correct, then we are now talking about many, many more things to be fixed. Simply not going to happen. For instance, I really don’t like looking through the walls of a carrier at my plane or drowning because I ejected over water and have no liferaft or working life preserver, which means I can’t be picked up by a chopper. I mean they can do sling loads so why can’t they rescue a pilot. So what you say you want could be expanded to many things which could be more important than a blade of grass.

Many here wish for this...I read some time ago a 3rd party was looking at a Pacific map and the Corsair. Not sure if that is still a plan though and I am too lazy to search. Many here are much more aware and up to date than I... so surely someone will chime in.

Interesting then that at OBX, Kill Devil Hills, NC, I frequently see Hornets climbing out to sea in two pairs using afterburners. So they are using ABs to climb to desired altitude on their way out to do night Ops at the Carrier. You can see both Leader and wingman are doing so for 20-30 seconds. Multiple times on same climb out. They also frequently use AB to get in position to catch up and rejoin for their RTB formation. See this all the time after they make their practice bombing runs on the Dam near where I live.

Zoom is your friend. Map it (altough different) for use in both TIR and VR.

Windows key works for me. But if you set up TIR right from the get go, you should not have to adjust it after entering DCS. I never have a reason to do that. If you haven't already, you should map TIR Center, Pause and Precision.

Please share the benefits/performance of this driver, if any, you see with your 1080.

Changed from a monitor to a 55” plasma about 7 years ago. Recently switched to a Samsung 65” 4K. I switch to VR for indscribable immersion but back to the big screen often because I love the eye candy. FPS 95-125+ depending on area. 1080TI drives it just fine with all settings maxed. I sit about 4 feet out. Its pretty amazing. Could never go back to one of those little PC monitors. Thats history for me. In fact, I don’t own a PC monitor anymore. It went to the dump!

Mystified why I do not have any issues. Go figure

+1. Agree and also everything seems to load faster for me including spawning into the aircraft in a heavy MP server. It is not my imagination.
