  2. How does scaling so the size is the same regardless of resolution encourage players to run lower res? Resolution is irrelevant if the size is the same at every res. You do realize players are already lowering res just to see anything at all today (or running VR which is a lower effective res than most monitors for the same end result). For example I am running 1600x900 on a 32” 2k monitor with no AA, not because I want to, but because contacts are all but invisible at my native res. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Pixel densities 1080p vs 4K https://www.noteloop.com/kit/display/pixel-density/ The solution is to scale based on resolution so contacts are rendered at the same relative size regardless of resolution. No scaling: With scaling based on resolution: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I don’t use TARGET, but it is nice to have the stick auto map in DCS with modules that natively support the WH. I have the original Virpil base. You want to input “044F 0402” for the stick. (0404 is the throttle ID) You can load the WH grip mapping, or you can also use the CM grip mapping (with the extra analog axis brake lever), and it will show up in device manager as the WH joystick. 5. Cold War Server and DDCS Bushwar servers are setup well for the MiG-19. Both have been pretty empty since the F-14 launched, but I am sure people will gravitate back to enjoy the early jets and helos.
  6. Best bang for the buck right now is the new GTX 1660ti. Check out some reviews.
  7. Here are a couple useful videos that go over some nuances of the RADAR and Jester...
  8. Thanks!
  9. Try repairing your DCS installation. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/709/
  10. So when is the DCS con going to happen? :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. WAGS is an old Warbirds player!!!..... No wonder he always has a calm demeanor. "Bring out your dead!" - Warbirds Convention 1998
  12. +1 I am excited by the F-14 (who isn't), but I am enamored with the MiG-19. I can't wait to see what the community comes up with for user created mods and content.
  13. Congrats!!!
  14. It is easy to point out flaws, but if you take a step back and review the flight-sim landscape since the original Flanker in 1995, we are living in a golden age of PC combat simulation. I am eagerly awaiting the updates to the MiG-19, but I am not letting that get in the way of enjoying what we have now. It isn’t perfect, but it is a ton of fun to fly and learn. Thank you Razbam for bringing a quirky Cold War relic to life in DCS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I can confirm this RPM hang issues. Cruising low alt with throttle just below MIL light illumination, pulling the throttles to 0 has little to no effect. If I pull G’s and bleed off speed the RPM will start to drop slowly (throttles still at 0), but it never drops to idle. The effect is as if the ram air from the current airspeed is keeping the engine RPM from dropping. Like in a manual car when you take the foot off the gas at speed without depressing the clutch pedal. The engine won’t return to idle. I have not seen this behavior in any other module. 17. This worked for me...Make sure the AB Emergency Disconnection switches forward and above the throttle are in the down position. Also make sure you click the AB enable button at the front right corner of the throttle quadrant. When you run up the left engine you should see the MIL and AB lights come on. That should advance the tutorial. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Civilian Traffic, mirrors, and Shadows are the biggest hits. Turn them down or off to reclaim FPS
  19. It's under gun site controls.

    I love it! Great work!
  21. Turn off the Afterburner disconnect switches on the panel in front and above the throttles.
  22. Thanks Nine!!!!! You (and the rest of the team) are gentlemen and scholars. The efforts made tracking this down are greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. More details... With the Gazelle the issue is related to the spinning rotor blades. If you Zoom in the view until the blades are no longer on the screen (or look back at the rear seats...same result with blades out of view) the flickering stops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Do you have tacview? If so, make sure it is not set to real-time recording. Leave it at the default 10 min delay or disable it under the Special tab in settings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Under axis controls select pitch and roll and click tune at the bottom. Add a little deadline and a curve. Start with a curve if 10 and tweak up or down until you get the response that works for you. I run 15 on most modules, but it is a personal taste thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
