  1. Demonstrating the Multicrew feature, a bit of loose formation flying and then fighting it out over Las Vegas Video is 99% in German:
  2. In my experience it's completely fine to run the engine at 3000/61 in DCS as long as the temperatures are within limits. Meaning the engine can't be too hot or too cold. Both will damage the engine at some point regardless of its settings but especially if you're running a cold or hot engine at 3000RPM/61'' and you don't pick up some speed ASAP when it gets too hot and fail to reduce MaP. I know some players like to fight at 2800RPM so 2700/61'' should work as well but I haven't run any tests in that regard, however I do know that if you reduce RPM to cruise settings and stay at a high MaP it will wreck your engine rather quickly I've flown ~2-3h Coop-Missions in the Mustang in the past - some involving bombing an airfield and then defending against german fighters on the way home and never really run into engine problems if I didn't take damage. I remember one in particular mission where we took off with 100% fuel plus 2xbombs, then climbed to 20000ft maintaining around 200mph IAS @2700/46. Then cut back to maximum cruise settings emptying the fuselage tank until we encountered FLAK. We then went back to max continuous. For the attack we used 3000RPM to get the most air resistance from the prop disc during the dives and plenty of power to climb out again. The attack on the airfield itself lasted about 5min max but we then fought some Doras for another 10-15min before finally flying back.
  3. Synchronisation is mostly working in DCS 2.0.1 right now. 1.5.3 should be out this friday which should also fix the synchronisation issues. So far the only thing we noticed was that nav lights aren't synchronized and that the student pilot has to be sitting in the aircraft first. If you accept someone as backseater when you're still on the briefing screen synchronisation is broken. Flaps work, landding gear works, switching controls is flawless. It's a lot of fun to fly around with someone.
  4. Same Problem here. I get a slideshow in 2.0.1 if there is another MiG-21Bis in close proximity to me.
  5. There you go. Always decrease MaP first, then decrease RPM and when you need more power increase RPM first then increase MaP.
  6. Are you by any chance lowering RPM before you lower MaP or even leaving MaP at 61''? Because doing that will inevitably lead to a dead engine. Also, under normal operating conditions you shouldn't need to touch your radiators after take off. An engine that's too cold tends to seize as well and normally, if the temperatures got a bit high during take off, they drop pretty quickly at max continuous settings (2700RPM/46''MaP) once you build up some speed.
  7. Of course. You can already take rides in the backseat with another player flying - it's been this way since release. But there were always problems with synchronization. For example: If the player controlling the aircraft puts the landing gear down the other player won't see that and vice versa.
  8. It's already working, well kinda. Controls aren't synchronized properly in the current versions (2.0 & 1.5). I'm looking forward to testing it out tonight
  9. The TM HOTAS Warthog is a great joystick for jets but not so great for helicopters due to its big heavy spring. At least not without modifications to the stick
  10. Ich nehme an das hat was mit der alten Map zu tun. Über Nevada sind meine 12GB Arbeitsspeicher üblicherweise zu 85-97% ausgelastet.
  11. Not sure if this is known but the IAS readout for WWII birds seems broken: http://abload.de/img/flyinglegendso9a52.jpg
  12. I don't think random system failures as they are in DCS right now are a good implementation because when I tried them they felt truly random and took me completely out of the game way too often to be realistic or even fun. The problem I see is that there is no consistency in DCS. I mean the basic system is in place but it's not carried over to the next mission. We can already wreck an engine very quickly if we handle it wrong. A single system failure can lead to a cascade of failures etc. It's just that when you add random system failures to it, it feels like you're in a very badly maintained aircraft. If we get a logbook that tracks our flight hours, the way we treated the aircraft, accidents, damage and have a little graphical overlay to do maintenance (and yes, I realize this is not fun for everyone) I'd be all over it but random system failures as they are now are a deal breaker for me because there is no reason for that failure other than that you have random failures activated. And that to me is worse than flying a factory new aircraft that has been build to perfection.
  13. My first impressions of the Mirage 2000C I really like it but it needs a lot of work
  15. It tells you that the FBW G Limiter is in the wrong position. For example, if you have drop tanks and the FBW G Limiter is in the A/A position you will get this warning
  16. Do you have the canopy open?
  17. Spitfire MkIX :music_whistling:
  18. That problem with no targets showing up or ghost tartgets showing up where there are none is probably related to this bug here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=156967 If you have flown a Mirage before without shutting down DCS completely make sure to reset all your radar controls when you enter a new aircraft.
  19. Does the mission feature limited supplies? I've had no problems loading the aircraft with fuel tanks (center line or wing) in both 2.0 and 1.5.2 but I do have a freeflight mission where I have no supplies at airbases except for smoke and fuel tanks and I can't select the tanks without changing the mission
  20. Doch den gibt es. Heißt "Polemikh Aeroporia (Greek Airforce)".
  21. Hey Smudge, make sure you have the aux radio select option bound to your hotas as well as the normal radio. You need to switch to UHF by pressing the AUX Radio Select key before opening the comm menu and contacting the tanker. Also, make sure the tanker is on a frequency that is available as a preset on the UHF radio. Cheers
  22. AWACS usually gives you BRA for stuff like that.
  23. As much as I like to hate on GEMA it's actually YouTube who block that stuff preemptively so they don't have to deal with that stone age organisation that is GEMA. Seriously though, F*** GEMA. You can't really browse youtube without a VPN or some kind of proxy plugin.
  24. I love the new effect! Six CBU's at once - no performance impact and imo it looks much better than the old CBU's.
