Same issue here. As soon as I log in it crashes. I did send a crash report the first time it happened. Just tried the stable version and it runs fine. The Open beta ran great yesterday, so something broke for me on this update. I tried running a repair but to no avail.

+1 from me too. Pilot body greatly improves the immersion levels in VR, I would love to see this implemented in the upcoming Warthog 2.
-
Officially called "Operation Diver" and the Mosquito also had a role in doing just that :joystick: Diver being the code word for the V1.

Now there's a great idea for a bit of diversification for ED. Digital Combat Simulator could branch off into naval combat too, what I would give for a DCS level U-boat or Corvette with AI convoy to protect/attack. I can just see the multiplayer servers full of players in U-boats, Corvettes, guy's in Catalina's dropping depth charges on the U-boats. North Atlantic map, Mediterranean map etc. Not just WW2 stuff either.....Russian and US/British Submarines in cold war scenarios .....the list is endless. I know a LOT of Subsim guy's would jump aboard the ED bandwagon in a heartbeat if this ever came to pass. Anyway, getting way off topic now....sorry. Started dreaming there!

If you did purchase the Hornet on the ED shop then the extra discount is applied in the checkout page. Many thanks ED for the extra Hornet discount on the Supercarrier module Much appreciated and a great gesture. It's now on my list awaiting launch!

Have you pressed the D/L key on the UFC and selected ON to turn the data link on? First thing that springs to my mind anyway. But if it's mission planner related I can't say as I have zero experience using it.

Fantastic newsletter ED  WW2 should see huge advances in both gameplay and immersion in the near future. I was sold anyway on the Supercarrier and Mosquito for this year, but you guy's also got me hooked for the new Channel map too which looks stunning BTW. Will be great for full intruder missions in the Mosquito from UK to northern France and back. Nice to see the core game getting some attention too, look forward to the new night lighting, hope it's a big improvement to what we have now which looks not so good flying at night in VR. Keep up the great work guy's :)

The DCS Mosquito is sure going to look good flying over those white cliffs :-D If the channel map releases this year then 2020 should be a great year for WW2 fans.

Good info to know!, thanks for sharing this. I try to do stuff the right way even if a particular system isn't modelled yet, that way it becomes muscle memory so to speak, so when the system is fully functional I don't have to keep amending my start up procedure.
-
Impressive list. I really hope they manage to squeeze the Hornet TGP improvements in there somewhere too :music_whistling:

When doing air to air refuelling, if you set the switch to the override position that particular ext fuel tank will not be filled during the refuelling process. Isolating the tank/tanks in effect.

Sea Harrier FRS1!!!!! I didn't know you guys were doing a Sea Harrier :D Man that will bring back memories, spent 3 years working on the SHAR, and the only fast jet I ever managed to get a trip in! I remember her with much fondness and a few scars on my hands to prove she was once there :D Look forward to that release. Happy Christmas to all at RAZBAM, hope 2020 is a great year for you all

Thanks for posting the photo Harker. Hopefully the devs will add this one to the bug list.

Right DDI. Currently the only way to change the radar azimuth is to use the button on the DDI, try using the HOTAS function and no selections appear, just blank. Radar scan bar selections work ok, as does adjusting the range with the cursor over the arrows on right side of DDI.
-
When trying to adjust the radar scan width (20,40,80,140 deg) by placing the radar cursor over the current scan width, the options are completely blanked out and therefore not adjustable using the HOTAS controls.

LOL, you got me again! Second post edited :) I think I've got it right this time, anyway I'm glad you know what I'm talking about :D
-
Well spotted - my mistake, yes I meant the cage/uncage button on the stick. I've corrected my original post. Also yes I was in NAV mode when I noticed this.
-
I'm not sure if this is a bug or is intentional correct system behaviour, but if it is correct I can't see any logical reason for it! When you're using the TGP and slewing it around then press the Cage/Un-cage button (WITH the TGP still set as SOI - the little diamond in the top right of DDI) to boresight the TGP it also cages/un-cages the Flight Path Marker at the same time on the HUD. After a couple of times doing this I loose track of whether the HUD Flight Path Marker is caged or un-caged and showing or not showing drift with the wind/correct flight path direction. Is this intentional system behaviour or a possible bug?

With a list like this I think it warrants being called a stand alone module!, and is certainly on my buy list when it's released. It will make a perfect addition to the Hornet. Plus just as important it keeps ED in business, and therefore us in the virtual skies!

Not a big bug but I couldn't find anything on the subject other than the F16 lights not being visible to other aircraft so thought I would mention it. When the position lights are turned on and set to flash only the wingtip lights actually flash, the ones on either side of the intakes (viewable from an external view) stay on constantly and do not flash, the port (red) and starboard (green) ones.

Same issue in MP. I even tried different amounts of flares to drop but no go.

+100 - count me in that silent group too. I really enjoy taking part in EA. I look forward to the regular updates on the open beta to test all the latest, I personally like the EA approach. I work in R&D (mechanical dev not software) so see this from an inside...ish perspective and totally understand the issues ED must be having. It can't be easy for them and stuff goes wrong for us at work, mostly at the last minute and when you least expect it! Well, just thought I would chime in with a bit of support here for ED and their EA approach....

Nice video......great flying

As I understand it on the RWR page the aircraft symbol will have a semi circle above its identity of its emitting radar, when it locks your aircraft up you get a semi circle below too. So identity say "18' for an F18 would have a bracket above AND below if it's locked you. Only one above if emitting but no lock.
