  1. Yep, This is where I'm at also. I'll wait and see the 3rd party benchmarks.
  2. Go back and read, read. Your the one that just attacks arrogantly everyone here with there own opinion about NVIDIA / AMD that are quite correct to many. He came to those conclusions because it's all over the internet. If your going to give it learn to take it or how about enough with the arrogant hero posts. It's not very helpful here.
  3. You must be living under a rock yourself or just biased then? If you google AMD 5700 xt drivers there are plenty of threads around about this around and how you can have problems. From what I've seen online I would go for the 2060 super any day and twice on Sunday.
  4. Maybe? Here is an old thread about using it as a screen for the Ka-50. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133891 What SkateZilla said is the interesting thing you could try. Microsoft Surface + install bluestacks android emulator + then install DCS UFC for Hornet android app. Not sure if this will work? Should I guess, may need a bit of playing around to get it working. Resources The latest version (Bluestacks 4) emulates Android Nougat (7.x.x) and the home screen lets you quickly access the Google Play store, installed apps https://www.tomsguide.com/us/how-to-run-bluestacks,review-1912.html Bluestacks android emulator https://www.bluestacks.com/samsung-galaxy-store.html DCS Hornet AMPCD & UFC https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deviceworks.dcshornetdevice Free one below to try first. 5. Oh boy.. OK, let me try again. Nice Let me try. STOP using the words (zoom 0) and ( -61% zoomed out) What is that? It's FOV (Field of view) in degrees. Edit Make sure you set the default rez in windows and sim. The rest is just to setup the best default view you can (balance). Then zoom in and out (It Changes the FOV in sim on the fly) that's the best you can do on a flat 2D screen. and that is one wacky beaut NEW rez and would have checked before buying for DCS. I think 21:9 would be good / better for DCS and or for first person shooters. Unless specifically optimize for 32:9, perhaps a few FPS shooters.
  6. Not totally sure what your asking here. Its just FOV. Make sure Your new Monitor is now set as default under DCS options. (5120 x 1440) What I do is MOVE the pilot back so you can see the hud then adjust the FOV, it's a balance still as it is done in 2D. I have it set "generally" for targeting, spotting, HUD and zoom in, out and reset as needed depending on what I need using the HOTAS.
  7. Yep i agree it needs a tweak and smoothed out. I use a combo of ch mini joystick then a modifier and hat switch when close, not optimal but works when fine tuning.
  8. I'm in, It's not doing corona tho. It's says Project 13821 This project simulates several myosins found in the human body. You would think all power would go to corona?
  9. amessh, You can copy and paste one version of DCS as many times as you like. I've even just had DCS on E:\DCS\ Then change that version to whatever you wish to use with it. C:\DCS1 C:\DCS2 C:\DCS3 D:\DCS4 E:\DCS5 etc or C:\Program Files\eagle dynamics\ DCS1 DCS2 D:\eagle dynamics\DCS ALL the launch links are in there own bin folder in that location. Make separate links to these or link them into Skatezilla app and launch them separate from this app. There is no need to reinstall any DCS from scratch. Copy paste, perhaps update and repair done.
  10. I'd be more inclined to call it STOP eating bat sale. https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/health-wellbeing/coronavirus-origin-chinese-blogger-filmed-eating-bat-soup-breaks-silence-c-668143 This is not good, but it could be WAY worse with all the animals collected from around the world and put into small rooms. Not just China's wet markets.
  11. Just take a copy of the install you have or you can copy it to a different drive if not enough room. Then use it's bin folder DCS.exe to launch update etc. You will then also be able to connect Skatezilla app to that build separately and have it set to whatever build you wish. Edit: You can do this as many times as you want to (Depending on drive space), the app can have many DCS build versions for testing.
  12. If you program them in DCS always keep a copy of C:\Users\User_Name\Saved Games\DCS[OpenBeta]or Stable You can then copy this folder back or parts of it etc. C:\Users\User_Name\Saved Games\DCS[OpenBeta]\Config\ If DCS or you create a new Save Game folder, say on your new pc etc. A New Joystick seen by DCS I believe you can just change the device name to your old file. I have heard you need to "start" to bind so DCS "starts" the new config file for that controller. (Build New File) Using that new device id file created (Copy it out to desktop), apply that name to the "old file" that's already setup with "everything bound" and copy this one back to that folder. Not done this myself as I've been setup for quite some time. But I do have a backup ready if needed. Or yes you can save each and every device column per plane in game. That's why it's easier to keep a copy of the saved games folder and only bring across whats needed so you don't corrupt the newly created Same games folder using the old one. If you mess up or (DCS has changed to much) copying a joystick file for "whatever aircraft" just delete it. DCS will build a new one, then try again or start binding.:(
  13. Hi Zappovitz I used to save my setup in other programs CH Manger etc. I also have the VKB and just assign all the axis and stick buttons inside DCS, same with the CH throttle I'm still using. You dont't have to Save as, DCS will auto save when you assign each axis and buttons per aircraft. To back this up copy this or the whole folder. I genelly backup the full DCS[OpenBeta] folder from Saved Games area from time to time. C:\Users\User_Name\Saved Games\DCS[OpenBeta]\Config\Input\Aircraft_name\ This is also where you will see all different "new joysticks" windows creates, this is usually from these external controller programs and or you changing usb ports. You can rename the controllers back to the old name that was used that's still in this folder. Just start to assign the "newly named controller" and DCS will add the new name, then change this name back to the old joystick name etc. This usually doesn't happen when programming within DCS. If saving from inside DCS it seems you have to select or "highlight each column" and then "save as". For each "aircraft" and control "column". FC3 - F15 - Stick (Column Save as) "FC315Stick" FC3 - F15 - Throttle (Column Save as) "FC315Throttle" FC3 - F15 Keyborad (Column Save as) "FC315Keyboard" All saved separately with it's own name. How do it know this and how it works? Been meaning to do a video on FC3 aircraft setup. I setup the "one aircraft" Su-27 or F15 and save each column like above. Stick, Throttle, Keyboard Then import each "separate column" into EVERY FC3 aircraft F-15, Mig-29, Su-25, Su25T Then make a few changes to the Ground attack aircraft controls. (Few extras) This makes them all pretty much the same config (Easy to remember) and can be fully set backup in minutes. See me clear all the DCS auto assigned columns here. and here
  14. Please don't use words like fair lol.:) Not what I'm seeing going against good players online in the JF-17 More like this. Same 120c just on the F-15 See Tacview 7:08 Edit Unless something got nerfed last big BETA updates (Not tested) Upload track and or Tacview would help.
  15. Pro's do not act like this. Come on guy's. If you are going to say your "this" make sure you backup any statements with real facts and documentation. There are many pro's in many fields here on this forum. An example of how a real pro posts and behaves. See all Curly's post with the appropriate references with them. No one's questions him about being an engineer. Why?
  16. On a different note. I think Enders Game is a little ways off. Especially in a real conflict where satellites would be shot down and lots of jamming going on. That would be a real problem with drones unless fully autonomous. That sounds even worse if hacked. Mover's latest vid
  17. I know the JF-17 is based on ED's radar api so it seems quite good. It's good fun in pvp if you think they have launched a ground strike on one of the bases. I was flying around checking the roads tree line and a big brick shows up when moving, lock and the TGP snaps to it if slaved. Fire off a few laser rockets. EDIT It does/will change the dynamic of the pvp servers, as the Tac commander needs to be on the ball and more joined effort is needed to accomplish any mission goals with all these modern weapons and systems now in DCS.
  18. The controls are a little clunky but try this. Rudder pedals for steering, throttle for speed, button for reverse / forward, stick for turret. When outside in isometric view, use the mouse for turret, middle mouse or side mouse for lase, scroll to zoom in. You will need to bind laser, weapon change, zoom, thermal and turret stability to the throttle / stick. This is how I play when in large battle online PVP.
  19. hunch down a bit then recenter vr lean forward / back recenter vr
  20. Unless you use the Flanker like it's meant to be used. Sneak up and ET someone in EO, I still get a lot of kills in the hills with the Flanker.;) For now use the JF-17 and the remodeled missiles on both sides to go head to head. Had many hard realistic engagements against other good players online.
  21. You don't need to be an expert at IT. Just learn about the anti virus software YOU installed on YOUR pc. That ALLOWS you to stop it scanning folders. This is very beta software that updates all the time. I have add DCS to the whitelist of the software so it doesn't get scanned. I'm surprised it hasn't happened more with all these updates coming all the time.
  22. Hi Flit, Try the one I show here where you just add a .bat file to the install location. The files found here at the bottom of the the support site. Many different ways lol.
  23. Soon you'll be allowing for earth's 67,000 mph speed around the sun.:)
  24. We have all tried. One more, When you look at a flying plane once it's off the ground. It's not going anywhere, "just a free", "scenic flight". So no navigation need and he/she doesn't care where they end up. Just pretend after this aircraft leaves the ground, the ground is no longer there (Forget Ground Totally). Only the aircraft in this air mass, it doesn't matter if moving around or still air mass. The aircraft flies around in this air left, right, forward, back, up and down. It has no sense of anything but flying through this air mass. To the aircraft there is only perhaps some turbulent air to hit it this air mass. There is no wind to be felt on the aircraft at all once flying. Only it's generated speed by it's own engine power. (The is no relation ship to this "wind" when just flying around and having fun) ONLY when you need to go somewhere or land does this matter and (ONLY AFFECTS TIME) not the flight model. Jetliners even use the jet stream to go somewhere even quicker. This doesn't affect the flight model. Quote "Airspeed and ground speed are not the same thing though. An aircraft can be flying within normal design limits, well below the speed of sound at altitude, but according to its ground speed, appear to be flying at near-supersonic speeds." https://blog.privatefly.com/how-does-the-jet-stream-affect-my-flight-time Does a pilot in a 777 need to worry about this ground speed that's faster than the design limits of the 777? Might rip the wings off turning out of this wind?;) A good example of something that gives relative meaning to "wind"? Airfield windsock Why? Because it's FIXED to a point in the earth. Planes don't have a long enough keel when flying over water.:)
  25. Hi Infectedd, Bring up your controls in sim. Right Ctrl + Enter and take a look at the movement with your throttle. You can mess around and add your own curve as Der Hirte has said.
