Lighting and visuals varies from user to user , monitor vs vr etc. This is where you stop trying to make the perfect setup for everyone and instead provide some individual settings 2.2 ??? that completely washes out the outside world . i normally use 1.8, but for F-4 have to use 2, which I really find too bright for outside the cockpit. inside the cockpit is just too dark, plain and simple

+1 this would be more important than some of the bases listed in that other initial post.

I have two questions... 1. do your profiles support awacs and tanker calls ? (Its the primary reason I use Viacom) 2. Is there a way to configure VA to only listen to voice commands when I push a button ? I don't want to broadcast, ie. my jester comms to an open discord channel

I installed dlsstweaks and setup to use preset F and it helps with ghosting

This is really disappointing. First RB, now this. ED get your house in order please. We trust you when we buy these modules , and that trust is at an all time low.

I just find it incomprehensible that you have this entire population of DCS community customers using this technology and somehow you release this and break the experience for all these folks ? Fix your testing process. Wake up that your customers use eye tracking headsets. It's like a web company not testing if their apps works in Chrome. Who does this ? And why aren't the devs fixing things that this contributor has provided, including instructions on how ? He is making software to make DCS a great experience in VR, I think you'd find some value in that. The irony is this patch was delayed - maybe it should have been delayed longer - I can't use my VR and I can't use my FC3 modules I paid for. And my F-15E isn't getting updated anymore. What is going on ED ?

Trust me, if this is resolved and RB goes back to updating the Mudhen, folks will be very happy. I’d be more worried if this doesn’t get resolved. Not good for anyone.

Ok, so that sounds like an issue outside of the F-15e. So your saying that ED did withhold payment to RB due to a rumored (if it’s factual and you can show me that would be good) breach around some other aircraft that has nothing to with the F-15e ? In that case Ron was right ? ED leveraged payment , Ron leveraged not sending updates ? As an owner of the F-15e, can ED pay the employees what is owned, and they can continue their resolution of the IP breach ? From my perspective you’re penalizing me, the customer . How can I trust buying things anymore from ED if this is how it will turn out ? Thank you. And I didn’t come to cause any trouble. I’m truly sadden because I really love the modules , F-15e is great, and I was excited for its updates, and this news has been hard to bear. I hope things can be resolved.

And then they have also said there hasn’t been any communication That isn’t just heresay, this is straight out of their mouths . My post wasn’t hateful. What part of my post represented anything as such ? why would you quote my post and accuse me of such things ?

I think this is rather simple : ED receives money from their store. They then send RB their agreed upon % of those earnings. RB then pays its employees. ED isn’t paying RB, and therefore RB can’t pay their developers. it would make no sense for RB to take these actions if this wasn’t true. ED is withholding paying RB. So why did ED publish this product and take income from it and withhold what is rightfully theirs. By ED taking this action they have caused considerable damage to their customer base

I would like to comment on this. Ive seen quite a few posts by RB employees stating they were not paid because ED didn’t pay RB. That would match up with Ron using leverage, as want else does he have if not getting paid. RB developers have stated quite a few times they were not paid, they were also saying that ED hasn’t responded to them. That last part is my biggest concerned. Nick saying they are addressing it, but it sounds like no one is addressing anything. I hold ED responsible as it’s your DCS World. It’s your job to manage your 3rd party devs. As a customer it is dragging me through the mud. Also, I’m a developer, and trusting the parent company to properly pay its sub contractors is critical. I would also not work for free. I am a big fan of DCS World but I will say my loyalty has been significantly damaged after this. I waited many years for this module and now I’m unsure if it will ever progress. I have chosen not to purchase any more modules from ED until faith is restored. I expect ED to take care of its customers by repairing the damage done quickly and resolutely . If Nicks post was serious I would expect this to be not lingering on as it has. I appreciate the update, although I was hoping for better news, not stagnation

Great news. Jester needs ChatGPT level of ML , learn faster Jester! all these are great recommendations I’m skeptical since for many years asked for ability to cycle TWS targets in F-14 and that request was ignored

My experience and what was recommended by mbuchia was to just use pimax play to handle resolution , not OpenXR toolkit . for me I’m not even using OpenXR toolkit any longer , just pimax xr and QuadViews. If I want better performance I will tweak that resolution setting and/or lower my pimax play setting lastly I suggest going to the DCSVR discord and asking questions there - you’ll get some good recommendations hope that helps

Is there any work around for this - I will run the same mission 3x in a row and each time it sits and reloads the same textures. Surprised that isn't cached

it's called a brick for a reason... if you can maintain good rate speed it would help you, if you try to just yank it around you'll be in trouble. Best approach... fly with a wingman :)
