  1. They probably have. Only, I can assure you it is impossible to see them turn because the human eye is not made to see objects (Like parts of the compressor or turbine) that goes like 15.000 RPM or something. It sees them as a blur...
  2. It seems to me the Gyro/fixed lever of the gunsight is reversed. Also, the radio button doesn't move with the throttle. It stays afloat like the throttle is in the "STOP" position. Even tough the throttle moves up and down. But otherwise, it is a great module!
  3. It is true what is said above. But also, because of all the anti-ice equipement (wich is electrical) the engines loose a lot of power so, RPM's go down. If the RPM's of your engines go below a certain point (91 or 92% IIRC) the revolutions are too low for the generator to be effective so, automatically it shuts down. And disabling any electrical equipment on your Hip. I did complete the Elbrus mission, only just... It is quite an exciting mission, even tough there is no shooting involved.
  4. I made a personal touch on it. By adding a picture of (what I hope is) a beautiful Czech woman from the late 80's early 90's!
  5. I'm a cheesehead as well! You might want to offer some empty panels or something for people that are handy themself, but don't have the expertise to make fancy (engraved) panels. And are a bit fussy on electronics. Do you want to base it on a certain USB input board or something? I allready made a headstart with this ;):
  6. Serial: 39275 Location: The country of cheese and wooden shoes! Reporting for duty!
  7. You can also raise your view position by the Rctrl+numpad up command or something.
  8. I use the G940 as well. I did not observe any difference when using trim between versions 1.2.xx and 1.5 beta. But after i changed the curves of the roll and pitch axis from 10 saturation to 20 curvature, force trim no longer works. Needs some more testing...
  9. Last night, I observex the radar altimeter doesn't work when flying inverted. :)
  10. Your system specs are similar to mine. Yet I don't have that kind of trouble. I installed the MiG-21 over a clean 1.5 beta install. No tampering with any lua files. Also, copying the old 1.2 mods/mig-21 and coremods maps will leave you with graphical errors.
  11. The quick mission "free flight" is fun! You can chase the AI around the map! :music_whistling::pilotfly:
  12. Whenever I use the Re-arm function AND I change the numbers of chaff and flares, the ASO pod is not reloaded at all. If I take off and push the "Launch countermeasures" button, it doesn't launch any countermeasures. I tried the keyboard shortcut and pushing the button in the cockpit. Anyone else noticed this?
  13. I think it only flips the switch visually, it does not engage the air-start system.
  14. It is essentialy soviet style avionics from the 60's. Those were not the most advanced devices. The MiG-21 relied on ground based radars for intercept. The IFF function is explained in the manual. Basically, you just push one of the eight buttons above the radar-scope. (I think it was the third one from the top-row.) The "-" contacts are enemy and the "="contacts are friendly. Contacts appearing and dissapearing is a normal thing in this airplane.
  15. That's why we got a battery heater on the MiG-21. ALtough, I think that one is also powered by the batteries themselves.
  16. Ow come on. This is too easy! :megalol:
  17. I know that the T-33 uses ground power of 400Amps. That is a rather much. And the T-33 engine is smaller and far less advanced then the MiG-21's. The Turboprops on a DASH-8 are also very small compared to the Tumansky engine of the MiG-21. And I don't think there are huge batteries installed in the MiG and you don't need groundpower for it as well. But maybe the battery drives a pneumatic compressor?
  18. Camouflage works as well. The best camouflage should be some light grey shades in a kind of splinter pattern. like the "Northeria" livery, only it should be lighter I think. This works best for fighters. Brownish and greenish colors works best for ground attack aircraft. I did some research for it back in the Il-2 days. I also produced some skins for ground attack aircraft wich was basically just the ground textures of the environment. It worked really well. But it is more complicated for fighters because the color of the sky keeps changing, depening on how you look at it. So making an aircraft the color of the sky won't work.
  19. I thought modern jet engines are started pneumatically, not with electricity. It makes sense because some other systems are also pneumatically powered.
  20. Less visible MiG-21 means more kills for me. I really don't mind! Now if only we can use the R-60m in head-on like the AI does and i am a happy camper! :)
  21. I think Rudel said somewhere it will be in a future update as well.
  22. The best DCS module keeps getting better and better!
  23. Yup, thanks for the answer. I'll wait a bit more as well. :)
  24. Have you been messing with the description.lua for this skin? If so, see how it is supposed to be done in this thread here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=148308
  25. Is there any visual indication in the cockpit (a light or something) for checking if the speedbrake is retracted or deployed?
