If your old warthog throttle assignments don't work and show red exclamation marks now, delete all of them them (using "clear" button), restart DCS and re-assign them one more time. They should start working again.

Affirmative, but what to do if module manager is unable to detect these individual a/c, as seen on YoYo's example screen above? Are any extra steps necessary within customer profile page on ED website?
-
@Mustanger One cannot roll back individual module updates, it can be done for the whole game only. You would have to go back a few DCS versions (checking in old patchnotes which 2.9.xx build exactly brought suspension changes to Mustang and Thunderbolt, I don't remember off top of my head). The guide thread is here: Mind you, it's possible that old version is no longer available. ED tends to remove older builds after a few months to make space on their servers for newer ones.

reported already Main Gear Wheels Cross Wired!
Art-J replied to mytai01's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just a bump, as the issue is still present in 2.9.6. -
Microphone Button (call radio menu) not working
Art-J replied to LCO489's topic in Bugs and Problems
It seems 2.9.6 patch turned easy comms option on for many (if not all) users. That might be the culprit in your case as well. -
Just for the record, Dawger's edits are not required anymore as both issues were eventually fixed by ED last year'ish.

OK, I know there's always lots of new stuff not being mentioned in patch changelogs but this one takes the cake. Thanks for the heads-up from me as well! I use one of cockpit retexture mods for Anton, so I don't know how long it would take me to discover the stock ones have been redone.
-
What's more interesting is why it affected some but not the others. I tried 2.9.6 yesterday for the first time and after reading this thread I went straight to controls menu expecting to have issues with axes assignments on my Thrustmaster gear. Found no problems whatsoever in all warbirds, though. You guys use Quaggles' injector or something?
-
No crashes here (so far). That being said, I only tried a handful of simple warbird and Phantom missions on Caucasus and Normandy. I gather you tried all the usual stuff so far (clean and empty Saved Games folder, repair and cleanup, new gfx drivers)?

only mt now New launcher - how to choose MT or ST to launch game
Art-J replied to markturner1960's topic in General Bugs
That's incorrect. Both execs are still diffferent and start ST and MT modes as usual. What you probably meant is that even dcs_updater.exe from BIN folder launches the game in MT mode by default nowadays. To make it simple for Capt Orso: Starting the game by clicking directly dcs.exe in BIN folder enables ST mode. Clicking everything else anywhere else enables MT mode. That applies to standalone game, I don't know how Steam version works. Which mode is active can be checked in bottom right corner of main menu screen (it will say "multithreaded preview" or it won't) -
Looks like the real 605 dropped about 150 when tested at 950 RPM: "Ours" drops about 100 in these conditions so it's actually better . No idea about expected drop at higher RPM, though, and my German knowledge is insufficient to search for it in real manuals.

Edit miscellaneous section of options.lua to disable the launcher then (["launcher"] = false). If it's the launcher that creates this offline mode issue, maybe bypassing it will help? Worth giving a try.

Keep in mind guys who already bought it from ED shop based on cherry-picked teaser media published before, cannot refund it. I'd say the issue is not the matter of "black and white" perception, but rather a question of what one gets for his money here compared to other products. It's one of the most advertized releases from ED and yet, many of current 3rd party maps (or even some older ED ones) are simply superior as far as low altitude quality is concerned (where it really matters for majority of players who are going to use it). And they offer that better quality for equal or lower price. Comparisons with other DCS maps are unavoidable then, especially when people expect ED to proudly lead in fidelity race rather than lag behind or even step back. Granted, the region depicted is in EA phase indeed, so it can certainly be improved. However, if you stay with DCS as long as some of us, you will eventually notice that modules tend to stay in EA / "kinda-sorta-good enough" state for years, with only game crashing bugs being dealt with swiftly while the rest of the issues usually end up in "low priority" development barrel, rarely to be fished out of it again, if ever. At the same time bulk of ED workforce immediately moves to other projects (remaining Afghan parts, Iraq and WWII Marianas in this case I presume), 'cause that's what keeps DCS business running. As such, "it will only get better from here" should rather be rephrased as "it might only get better from here". But will it - remains to be seen, though everyone obviously hopes it will. Still, If you enjoy the map already in its current state, that's the most important thing. Have fun!

Does the game launch otherwise (in online mode that is)? Error 500 is usually computer time-and-date related, are they set properly on your PC? https://forum.dcs.world/topic/255827-error-code-is-500/

Launcher might be an interesting solution for new DCS players who are used to all other flight sims already having something like it. Thus, DCS "should" have one as well. Veterans, however, probably won't find it all that useful (with exception of guys who frequently switch between VR and pancake). I doesn't provide any extra functionality I personally need, while increasing launch time and eating resources, so after taking a look at it, I disabled it as well. The best thing is - it's optional, so you do you.

Correct as is. A-4 gunsight had slanted reflector glass (like all reflector sights to this day actually, at least the ones with collimators installed vertically below in their bases), while the foldable mirror bracket was glued to the canopy plexiglass. Screen below shows how it looks in FF module. I don't own FC4, but looking at your screen I'm a bit underwhelmed to see the same old cockpit textures as in FF version. I suppose the same applies to MiG-15. There were some neat new textures shown in teaser materials weeks ago, but maybe they just didn't make it in time for today's patch.

There's a new box to tick in misc. options titled "Launcher on start".
-
I wouldn't count on it in foreseeable future. If you don't mind using community mods, however, try out Magic Zack's 4K texture overhaul, posted a couple of threads down in this forum section (if you haven't done it already, that is). It's for external only, but it's a mighty fine update of most of default skins.

There ya go, Saburo was faster to watch the track. Booster switch is on by default in air-start missions, so I'd hazard a guess guess you've got it bound to something on your HOTAS and together with "synchronise controls" option enabled in DCS it causes the switch to flip down when the plane spawns at the beginning of the mission.
-
Sounds like a fuel shortage or mags problem, but save and post here a replay track whenever it happens next so that we can take a look. Not enough info to guess the source of the issue otherwise.

CGTC - textures overhaul mod for the Caucasus map
Art-J replied to LucShep's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Yes, you create yet another "master" mod folder for it amongst others in OvGME, called whatever you like (ie. "CGTC 2.84.1") and extract "Bazar" and "Mods" subfolders to it. -
Horrible DCS load times for first time in the day
Art-J replied to imacken's topic in Game Performance Bugs
In my case obnoxiously long loading times that came with the first 2.9'ish releases were reduced considerably when I finally decided to exclude the whole DCS folder from defender. Granted, I know it's a controversial solution, but it worked. -
Gunsites shifted (offcenter) to the left on German Warbirds.
Art-J replied to Mrgone's topic in General Bugs
For 109 you can go to game special options menu, 109 tab, and set the camera to always stay centered behind the reticle. 190s don't have such an option implemented, but they don't need it all that much as their gunsights are offset somewhat less than the one in 109. Still, you should be able to adjust default camera in them as well. Search for how to enable and set up snap views in DCS. -
THIS. Absolutely. With my DIY 30 cm extension and Warthog base mounted roughly halfway between floor and seat, that's already max length I could get away with - full roll input just bumps into my legs while full pitch input requires extending arm almost to the point of slightly leaning forward. Standard joystick bases just have much bigger deflection angles than real aircraft control sticks and columns (in warthog it's +/- 20 degrees all around I think?). Thus, research first what these angles are on various currently available joysticks (or if you can at least physically limit them somehow) and calculate what pitch and roll throw you're going to get with floor + long extension setup.

I believe In F1 view 3D model of player's head itself is always disabled by default, otherwise it would start occasionally blocking your view depending on TrackIR/VR movement as body animations don't quite follow camera movement. Models of AI crew members are different thing. I might be mistaken of course, but can you show us any video where you saw full F1 cockpit model shown together with player's full body model?
