Sounds like pitot heating didn't work and the pitot froze.

Im echten Leben ja, zumindest für die Tanker mit einem Boom. Gibt auch viele Videos auf Youtube dazu.

Problem when converting MP mission into a SP one
razo+r replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Check for Combined Arms roles like JTAC, Observer, Game Master etc. -
Corrupted objects at Georgievsk and other places (Caucasus)
razo+r replied to razo+r's topic in Bugs and Problems
Progress has been made! Instead of empty spaces on the map, you can now see the corrupted objects on the F10 map aswell. It's now harder to spot the spots... Cherkessk for example: All places mentioned above are still corrupted though. -
I'm uploading a small demonstration. The vehicles drives ahead to WPT 1 and holds there for 10 seconds before continues to WPT 2. Hold Demonstration.miz
-
Hold should work. Have you perhaps added a stop-condition to the hold waypoint? Can you upload your mission/vehicles?

You are overspeeding... There are usually speed limits both in IAS and in MACH. RAZBAM has implemented a 15% margin above the limit, so if you exceed either of these limits, your wings will be gone. I think the limit (without margin) is 800Kts/M2.0.

If you dont have any campaigns, there is not a lot to download. Besides, with the next update, you will have to download this update anyway.

Well, in the track you posted, the 3 Channels, with exception of the ALT channel, were turned on just after you took off and then they were turned off after you flew forward. So, unless that was what you actually did, check your controls if you by any chance have mapped these buttons to anything unwanted, and then also try to use the HOVER mode in addition to the autopilot channels.
-
Try turning on the autopilot channels like Pitch, Bank, Heading and Altitude... That will stabilize the helicopter. You can also use the HOVER mode to further stabilize a hover position.

Engine Failure without obvious reason (Video Available)
razo+r replied to Limaro's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Based on the video, I would say you are overboosting your engine. Too much Manifold Pressure and too little RPM. Does the debriefing specify anything about the damage your engine took, or is it a simple generic entry like "engine failed" or something? -
There are plenty of people who can land and fly it without issues. Feel free to browse youtube, plenty of videos around of people landing the DCS MiG-29. If you want to report an issue, you'll need to provide more details. Even better is a track so people can actually see if something is wrong or if you are doing something wrong, and will provide lots of feedback for you. But we need more details for that other than "it doesn't work".
-
Then please upload a short track. We need more info to be able to tell what's going on.
-
Wind? Do you have a short track?
-
Fly the mission, and once you are done, exit to the debriefing screen. In the debriefing, you have the option at the bottom to "save replay" or similar. Press that and save the file somewhere, where you can easily find it. Upload the .trk here. Just keep in mind, the shorter the better. If the issue happens 30 minutes into the mission, it's going to be hard to see as tracks could desync, AI do different things and having to watch someone for 30 minutes is not really pleasant. So if possible, try to recreate it in an empty mission with the same coordinates.

Does the F-5 use the same default FOV as other modules?
razo+r replied to Fitzcarraldo's topic in DCS: F-5E
Probably. I just know it's something like RShift+Rctrl+num2/4/6/8/the buttons to zoom. Saved forever. I think the views are saved here: C:\Users\You\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\View\SnapView.lua If you want to reset it, either remember the values before you save a new camera position, or if you remove the file and restart DCS, it should create the file again. -
We will eventually need a track from you to see what you are doing. The shorter the better.

razo+r replied to Fitzcarraldo's topic in DCS: F-5E
Pause TrackIR, move your head in the position you want with the keys, press RAlt+num0 to save the view and then unpause TrackIR. -
Can you perhaps share a short track? Did you also make sure your stick is 100% centered? Either via calibration or with a small deadzone? Did you make sure the paddle switch is not mapped to a switch on your hardware? The paddle switch disables the autopilot. What Stick are you running? Some had success by updating their software. Some other topic about it:
-
I would check your anti virus if it removed any files. But if you have DCS installed, you already have a functioning modelviewer2.exe in your bin folder of your DCS installation. Just run that one instead.

You can land with TACAN only, but then you need to be in the TCN mode (PLS/TCN uses a mix between ILS and TACAN, so turning off the ILS will cause issues). And since TACAN is a 2D approach, you won't get vertical guidance, so you need to descent according to the approach chart (from a specific altitude at a specific distance away with a specific descent rate (5 * your Ground Speed = 3 degree glidepath)) It's PLS/TCN or PLS/NAV. So you can have either ILS with TCN or ILS with NAV, but you cannot mix TCN and NAV together on the HSI.
