Hi. Today I tried the gbu-24 a/b and could destroy the shelter with a single bomb. But then I went with the gbu-31 3/b with FD 15 msec and then did another attack with air to the same target. I know air should do less damage but I don't know if this is working at all. Both gbu-31 3/b couldn't destroy the shelter which is weird since as I understand both bombs are "bunker buster".

can not reproduce Caution lights not/barly readable
Ignition replied to Bell's topic in Bugs and Problems
The lights are not very readable, you need to zoom in to read them. I know the position of the most common lights, but if you ask me what are they saying I don't know. -
requested How to Set laser code for GBU on hot aircraft
Ignition replied to RTS354's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I understand but years pass by and the modules are still incosistent. The F16 was released in 2019 and since then the way to change the laser codes was different to the other modules. -
It takes a few minutes more to takeoff but its much easier to boresight on the ground, unless you do it the wrong way and boresight with wathever like as frederf said it always boresights perfectly even if your tgp is not pointing to the right direction.

You know, TWS needs time to build the tracks. If an aircraft maneuvers in certain way it may lose the track, that's why TWS has a smaller scan volume than DTT.
-
This thread is about the benefit of TWS vs RWS, DTT is a submode of RWS and it can replace TWS but I don't know when DTT was implemented. If it wasn't implemented before 1992 then that may be the cause of using TWS instead. Other cause may be he didn't know how many bogueys to expect so he used TWS just in case, he switched to stt for the last half of the engagement. TWS doesn't give much benefits over RWS other than the posibility to engage more than 2 targets at the same time at the expense of more unreliability.
-
15 years ago DTT may not be implemented yet. Sorry but the video didn't say anything, it was cool though.
-
That's 15 years before the block we have in DCS.

Rockets are a waste of time in DCS. Even the smoke rockets are useless, they last 10 seconds or so.
-
I usually use RWS (DTT), for me its faster and more reliable. I occasionally use TWS but never for attack.

In the A-10 and F-18 you can magically change it while flying. Not only that, you need to have the engine off so every time you land to rearm you need to shut down the aircraft completely, that means an INS realign. Same with mavericks, you need to align them on the F-16 but not in the F-18 and A-10. DCS is very inconsistent. -
Thanks! I will download it.

I don't understand why ED doesn't put 1 person to do this kind of stuff. It could update or make 1 static per month and the diversity of missions would be incredible. Right now it feels like a 30 year old game with the same 2 or 3 statics in every single mission. Most of the assets look like this Its really painful to place these cubes to make a mission. At least I expect ED to update the heliport with the MI-24 and AH-64D. I was practicing in the FARP and its horrendous, visually I didn't know the distance to the floor with that texture.
-
There are tons of people who also fly multiplayer and they don't visit the forums. Where I play around 80% of the people don't enter the forums, and the rest just enter to read. Only ED knows. I believe the ammount of players playing online did increase, and a some people play both SP and MP.

correct as is SEAD AI going rogue
Ignition replied to DaveSD's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
You need a lot of patience to do a mission. You need to learn lua also to make decent missions. To test the mission you need to run it a 100 times. It's a pain but a well made mission can be played a few times. AI always gives me troubles, they do wathever they want most of the times. -
Please can you update at least the Heliport FARP, it's 20 years old. And also the 90% of the statics of the game. They look like the first thing you do when starting 3d modeling. Thanks.
-
Building damage model is 30 years old, the same age as most static buildings. Its really sad.
-
I think the AI/tool shouldn't be a priority, it may come later when the plane is already in a "good" open beta state. I have the F14 and I've flown it a lot and its really good, and although Jester is one of the best AI I've seen it's REALLY (REALLY) bad compared to a human RIO. I never fly it alone anymore. I think the development of an AI is a waste of time. Maybe using a framework like George may be a good choice for the future for the people who like to fly alone.

I want to see the AGM-130 in action and I hope they can introduce the GBU-39 It was nice to see the WSO cockpit also.
-
It's not easier to lock from the maverick? For me the lock on auto fails a little more and it takes more time to acquire the target.

The jammer doesn't work against the DCS AWACS does it? I never tried it.

Ignition replied to pchRage's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
TGT button cycles between TGT, OA1 and OA2 which are offsets. -
Since we are here... will our F-16C have the ARC-210?

Can Viper datalink targets to the Hornet?
Ignition replied to Diesel_Thunder's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
No, neither from other aircrafts. You can only see their SPI but you cant do anything with it.
