This wasn't a case of "taking the plane out of the Navy", this was a case of taking a plane built for the Navy and changing it for their own needs and having it built.

I have high hopes for something trick. HB has said they intend to push the limits with every module, and so far they have; inventing their own ground radar for Viggin, Jester AI, who knows what's next!!! Can't wait!

You can simulate it, sorta, by loading the thing up with fuel and door gunners on the NTTR map lol.... My unit recently ran an op on NTTR and man was that a different experience from Caucusus in the winter!!!! Try taking off as above without going over your EGT limitations!!! I took off at Creech using the main runway to do a running take off and used about a quarter of it before I reached ETL, and then in level flight I could only carry about 23% torque and was only making about 70kts in level flight!!! While this isn't tweaking any files it reduces performance substantially, so if you are spoiled on H model performance this might be the trick!!

Also be sure to uncheck the box that says "Rudder Trimmer" in the huey special options section, this will hose you up every time you are landing if you are using the trimmer on approaches!!!

One thing I always do with my rudder pedals is put in a small dead zone. I noticed a long time ago that I inadvertently put weight on one pedal or the other constantly, which in a plane like the F-5 would absolutely have an affect on take off and landing rolls. I use a value of 5, it seems to work fine for me. I never seem to have any issues keeping this plane under control, try it out!!

I only seem to need the pedals one take off and landing. With that big ol' tail it just whips itself right into the wind and is fairly steady.

It is for a joystick on your desktop rig if you are running "default" for your trimmer type in the special options menu for Huey. You set the trimmer and then let the stick go immediately so the stick returns to center. What the trim is doing for you in game is making the spot where you were holding the cyclic the new "center", so if you continue to hold the stick there you are effectively trying to point the helicopter in that direction.

What about a KA-6D? Maybe release it with a combat aircraft, perhaps a fighting version of the same airframe.....???

I personally think the P-38 would have been a better crossover aircraft, but being a huge Corsair fan ever since I was a little kid (my Dad flew -4's in Korea) I am very excited to have her in DCS, All bent winged, hog nosed, Ensign eliminating variants are more than welcome on this end!!!! ~Rob

The USCG has a lot of prior Army guys. I was at Cape Disappointment for around 7 years, and at one point while I was there roughly a 3rd of the pilots out of AirSta Astoria were prior Army. There was also a guy who was a prior Marine with -53 time, and one Aussie exchange pilot who said he came over "just to buy a BMW" lol.....that guy was fun to work with!! (I ran lifeboats and we worked with the helicopters twice a week)

So I saw on the ED unofficial roadmap page, updated on the 9th of this month, that the Kiowa Warrior is due for release in DCS 2019. Does that mean it is confirmed as a DCS release, or was there a missed entry that should have been deleted?
