  1. Odd. I read in another thread (somewhere it's buried by now but it was regarding the new alignment process) - where the alignment has to be completed before manually entering any waypoints otherwise there can be an issue. Regardless, I just flew today and input 10 manually entered coordinates and didn't experience the same issue your video showed - so not sure what was going on there for you. Side note: I followed your advice for not disengaging the NWS for an airfield takeoff in the Hornet and it was just fine, so thank you for that. Cheers, Ziptie
  2. I have to agree with the others above, in regards to the time frame that was clarified for the discounts and the numerous places the different price levels were outlined in. Bummer, but in my opinion it’s still very much worth paying $19.99 USD for the upgrade - hope you pull the trigger. Cheers, Ziptie
  3. Is it because your alignment isn’t complete yet? Cheers, Ziptie
  4. For me, rockets have been effective along with guns, against small vessels. Cheers, Ziptie
  5. Gun runs, much more effective. As for the Mavericks, the water typically blends the small ships in quite well - which makes it more difficult without the TGP to get a closer view of the target. However, if you are able to VID them - you should be able to MAV SOI and get the sensor lock...? As for BHOT/WHOT, completely dependent on what gives the better contrast to the background. I think the guns are more effective and easier to employ on the speed boats. Cheers, Ziptie
  6. Happy to assist and glad you got it sorted sir! Cheers, Ziptie
  7. I see that the F-16C forum has a sub forum, labeled 'verified bugs' section. This is a nice idea, wondering if this could be used more successfully (as other aircraft forums only have a section labeled bugs, example: F18C forum) as currently the title is misleading, not correct in many examples as there are threads labeled as 'unable to reproduce' or other acknowledgements that indicate they are indeed not verified bugs....... SUGGESTION: Seems like it could be more logical, and far more helpful - to have a 'verified bugs' section and a 'bugs' section in each respective sub forum. Then, once a bug has been confirmed (or actually verified/acknowledged by ED), that thread would be moved to the verified section and hopefully closed, therefore making searching for bugs a bit easier/clearer - and could possibly result in a decrease of the plethora of multiple threads regarding the same topic/issue. You could even update the sticky thread 'things to know before you post' to direct people to search the 'verified bugs section' prior to creating a thread in the bug section. If I was not clear regarding my point, I'd be happy to try and explain better. Cheers, Ziptie

  8. If you are in the F18C sim main category - it should be under HOTAS. However I am not 100% certain of this, but you can select the drop down box at the top, select search and type idle or off/idle (preferable) and should be able to find the two desired bindings. If for some reason that doesn't produce the proper search result(s), you could type in throttle and see what results that shows. Cheers, Ziptie
  9. Have you bound the off/idle? If not, try to bind the left off/idle and right off/idle to each respective detent on the Warthog throttle. Cheers, Ziptie
  10. It’s been addressed in the bugs section, numerous times actually. Just a quick search will give you results for others having issues as well. Cheers, Ziptie
  11. It does not have the green filter, so it is not a friendly item with NVGs enabled. As for compatibility reasons - not sure why they don’t have the flashlight enabled as stock, it’s silly and obviously it was accomplished by a member - so the people responsible for coding at ED either simply missed it, or didn’t think of it to start with. Either way, it works and that is all I care about. Cheers, Ziptie
  12. For the OP, yes you definitely can buddy lase in a Hornet, for other Hornets (and other aircraft capable of employing LGBs). For the members who were having issues with bombs hitting targets from a buddy lase - sounds like the 'MP desync" issue that has showed it's ugly face many times throughout the past couple years. I've performed buddy lasing from my A10CII for other A10Cs and FA18Cs with no issues, this was as recently as two weeks ago. Possible that something has surfaced with the most recent update, but this is the first report I've read on the forums posing the question. Cheers, Ziptie
  13. 100% sure you were in vertical scan? If so, I'd say it's a bug if they are not visible - as that is an important tool to let you know you are in that mode. Won't be able to fly until Saturday to verify on my side - but will certainly do so to double check on my side. Were the other visual indications present for other ACM modes? Cheers, Ziptie
  14. Yes, there was a timeline for the $9.99 USD initial offering (I believe it was the first month). Then the price changed to $19.99 USD for owners of the original A10C. As for whether or not it will be in any seasonal sale this year, I do not know that information - but I doubt it will be. Even at $19.99, it's 100% worth it. I would have paid $39.99 for it, even with owning the original A10C already. To be fair, I would have paid $39.99 just to get the HMCS - not to mention the new weapons, incoming system additions, and the recently updated sounds/visuals. Cheers, Ziptie
  15. The above information is good. In regards to changing the imaging type of the FLIR display, with FLIR SOI, RAID/FLIR/FOV long depress will change from CCD to WHOT (you then have to depress the OSB on the FLIR display to change between WHOT and BHOT. (Disclaimer: long depress might change from CCD to BHOT, I can't recall which of the two is the initial, but you get the point). Cheers, Ziptie
  16. Does it do this only in this campaign/mission or is it consistent across different missions/campaigns? I am unable to fly until Saturday, but bouncing ideas off you to see if it might be specific to that particular mission/campaign or an issue across all. I will certainly test to see if it is the same for myself once I get the chance, but haven't read any other reports on this particular issue. Cheers, Ziptie
  17. Correct, a NAVY aircraft trait. Cheers, Ziptie
  18. HMCS SOI with Coolie Switch AFT. HUD SOI with Coolie Switch FWD. Cheers, Ziptie
  19. Last time I used them, last week, they accessed sub pages and not the primary page. Guess I’ll add it to the test list for Saturday... Cheers, Ziptie
  20. Correct’ish..... What the limitation is, is regarding the FSKs on the CDU, highlighted in green, laid out in a left to right formation aft of the display screen, when not in the OTHER position for the rotary switch. Or at least it seems that is supposed to be the logic. Those UFC options don’t manipulate or override the rotary switch on the CDU, but act as a “shortcut” or easier to reach option compared to pressing the FSKs just aft of the CDU display screen. Cheers, Ziptie
  21. Is the INS switch in NAV or IFA? Cheers, Ziptie
  22. So you don't accidentally rotate the nose gear when the ground crew goes to place the wheel chocks (which would injure personnel). I imagine that you could also experience an issue with the tire(s) attempting to 'climb' the chocks. And @Swiftwin9s my apologies - I stated that in Wags' video he disengaged the NWS during airfield takeoff, which is incorrect - he certainly did not. Thank you again for educating me on what I was doing incorrectly and will rectify this the next time I get to fly the Hornet. Cheers, Ziptie
  23. What he is saying in the guide is: to use the FSK (function select keys) on the *CDU* - the rotary switch on the CDU panel must be in 'OTHER' and not the other three available positions to use those FSK on the UFC (that are highlighted in green in the image on page 54. I misinterpreted your statement the first time, apologies for not clarifying that part of the question originally. Cheers, Ziptie
  24. Ah yes, my mistake. I was referencing the yellow handles. Cheers, Ziptie
  25. From my understanding, that panel functionality is not modeled in DCS (at least not yet). Cheers, Ziptie
