(Sigh) You provided absolutely no information to allow an intelligent response . Hardware , settings and circumstances for example . So all we can do is provide wild-ass guesses . Aside from beta being a mess right now , my guess would be terrain loading . Do you have DCS on an SSD ? It should be . You can increase the preload radius in DCS settings if you have enough memory , and see if that helps .

It would be interesting to know what percentage of simmers (particularly dcs) do use vr .

Being IN that cockpit and IN that world is priceless . I only use my pc for flightsimming , and if a sim does not support vr , i won't buy it . I have a grandson with a fear of heights . He can fly for hours on a monitor , but when he started the Hornet free flight mission in vr , he was out of that headset in an instant !

Actually , the video shows a guy "flying" (WT) in VR with a Hotas , using supplied mounts . They are large enough to allow a trackball as well , and that footrest could be easily modified for pedals . Keyboard ? Not so much in vr anyway . Not my cup of tea , and i do have some concerns about the drive , but it looks like a well-thought-out design .

Yes , actually i did read that section . But i don't think that what you are asking for is possible , due to for example how Oculus runtime works . Sorry for trying to help-it won't happen again .

So i'm about to transfer my dcs installation to a new pc . I would like to do so by moving the ssd it is on to the new unit . Can i login on the new pc after the transfer and all good , or do i have to uninstall the modules before transfer ? Plan is to copy the contents of the sata ssd to an m.2 in the new pc and run a repair . I'll prolly redo bindings and settings . Modules are : Hornet Albatross Huey FC3 NTTR Persian Gulf

One overlooked advantage of the m.2 is the cleaner installation sans cabling . Depending on the case , one might expect better case airflow . Most modern motherboards also heatsink the m.2 slot(s) , which may (or may not) prove advantageous , depending on the drive bay location and case airflow .

I'm not seeing shipping times problems from Newegg and others , but in Newegg's case , the packaging leaves a lot to be desired .

Looks like you have done a great job spec'ing a well-balanced high-performance system .

I'm reluctant to trash other people's choices , but since you asked... In my opinion (and experience) the X-52/Pro is garbage . The original Saitek-manufactured units were good and provided good service for years , but since then the brand has changed hands at least twice and quality has gone massively downhill . Those lovely rotaries , mouse stick and slider are all pretty much useless , as potentiometer jitter makes them impossible to use as axes . Likewise the buttons/hat switches are of very poor quality , with no "clicky" action , and a high failure rate . The CH Hotas is a much better option for long-term reliability in the same price range , and the Thrustmaster T-1600 , with which i personally have little experience ( I did purchase a version for the grand-boys playstation ) is highly regarded , and priced far less , albeit with the caveat of having fewer hats/buttons . Doubtless , someone will be along who disagrees with all of this , but the post is based on my personal experience , and written solely for the purpose of forestalling your disappointment .
