  1. But they don't , and people need a reference as to what to expect before dropping twice as much cash ? It may not be a fair comparison , but it is a relavant one :)
  2. Blocked again , and permanently this time . Puh-lease , don't quote this guy !
  3. Dude , you need to relax and enjoy flying what you have and as it is . Your posts reflect far too much worry about what's going to happen next month or next year , and are in any case irrelevant as the only intelligent answer to them is "wait and see" .
  4. (Sigh) You provided absolutely no information to allow an intelligent response . Hardware , settings and circumstances for example . So all we can do is provide wild-ass guesses . Aside from beta being a mess right now , my guess would be terrain loading . Do you have DCS on an SSD ? It should be . You can increase the preload radius in DCS settings if you have enough memory , and see if that helps .
  5. How dare you ! :)
  6. It would be interesting to know what percentage of simmers (particularly dcs) do use vr .
  7. Being IN that cockpit and IN that world is priceless . I only use my pc for flightsimming , and if a sim does not support vr , i won't buy it . I have a grandson with a fear of heights . He can fly for hours on a monitor , but when he started the Hornet free flight mission in vr , he was out of that headset in an instant !
  8. I hear that ! Just completed a new build and it was hard to switch that power on :)
  9. Actually , the video shows a guy "flying" (WT) in VR with a Hotas , using supplied mounts . They are large enough to allow a trackball as well , and that footrest could be easily modified for pedals . Keyboard ? Not so much in vr anyway . Not my cup of tea , and i do have some concerns about the drive , but it looks like a well-thought-out design .
  10. 250 kts
  11. Yes , actually i did read that section . But i don't think that what you are asking for is possible , due to for example how Oculus runtime works . Sorry for trying to help-it won't happen again .
  12. Welcome to the forums ! You can launch DCS in either mode with this very useful utility . https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053
  13. Deck crew bowling pins :)
  14. Just do it ! The Oculus Runtime will still make use of your gpu and send the video via usb . https://developer.oculus.com/blog/how-does-oculus-link-work-the-architecture-pipeline-and-aadt-explained/
  15. Wouldn't be the first time !
  16. Thanks , gentlemen . Is "deactvate" the same as "disable" in the module manager ?
  17. So i'm about to transfer my dcs installation to a new pc . I would like to do so by moving the ssd it is on to the new unit . Can i login on the new pc after the transfer and all good , or do i have to uninstall the modules before transfer ? Plan is to copy the contents of the sata ssd to an m.2 in the new pc and run a repair . I'll prolly redo bindings and settings . Modules are : Hornet Albatross Huey FC3 NTTR Persian Gulf
  18. Or practice case 1's on the Stennis-less stuff to run into :)
  19. One overlooked advantage of the m.2 is the cleaner installation sans cabling . Depending on the case , one might expect better case airflow . Most modern motherboards also heatsink the m.2 slot(s) , which may (or may not) prove advantageous , depending on the drive bay location and case airflow .
  20. I'm not seeing shipping times problems from Newegg and others , but in Newegg's case , the packaging leaves a lot to be desired .
  21. Amazon ?
  22.
  23. Personally , i would be afraid to copy back much more than control bindings . Glad to hear you are making progress...
