RAF Sukhumi - Airbase MOD - puts you right in the heart of a modern day RAF fast jet training base right here in Caucasus Map of DCS World. Sitting on the coastline Sukhumi airfield has been extensively upgraded via VPC MOD to host RAF Hawk T1, RAF F-5E, RAF L-39 and RAF F/A-18C squadrons. Use this mission as a base for training or LAUNCH one of two Low Level Training Sorties with a pair of RAF F-5E’s or Hawk T1 via COMMS F10 MENU. Blast off from a foggy, atmospheric sunrise at RAF Sukhumi in this fast and exciting mission - similar to my earlier Low Level Sortie with RAF Tornado - DCS MISSION The F-5E has been used here in DCS as it is similar to the Bae Hawk T2 which is currently used by the RAF to qualify its fast jet pilots before they move onto frontline squadrons and operate aircraft like the EUROFIGHTER TYPHOON or F-35. Take in the amazing lakes, rivers, valleys and mountains of the Caucasus Map in DCS as you maintain formation in this thrilling and exciting low level flying training mission lead by RAF F-5E fast jet trainers. Point to point, tactical, low level aviation and navigation with real comms from your flight lead as he guides you around this awesome route. Visit the local low level flying area AKA The Kutaisi Loop, a series of tight, winding valleys similar to The Mach Loop training area in the UK. This mission gives you a full and enhanced DCS flying experience and includes ON SCREEN MESSAGES, COMMUNICATION MENU ITEMS and CUSTOM PILOT AUDIO WELCOME TO RAF SUKHUMI - Upgrades include... • Upgraded Tower • Squadron apron and hangars • Squadron aircraft and liveries. • Base support vehicles • Fire station • Visiting Aircraft • Cold War Aviation Museum • BUNDLED PDF with links to MODs/skins & install instructions Available Aircraft Slots (Players) • RAF F-5E - 29 Sqn (x4) • RAF L-29C - 208 Sqn (x2) • RAF F/A-18C - XIII Sqn (x3) Support: Single Player and Multiplayer Easy and fun for beginner and pro alike Mission Time: Around 40 mins FEATURES: - HOT START AIRCRAFT - CUSTOM AUDIO FROM LEAD PILOT (229 AM - Pre-tuned in aircraft) WARNING - AUDIO/ON SCREEN MESSAGES!!! Make sure HELMET AUDIO VOLUME is turned up ON-SCREEN MESSAGES and COMMUNICATIONS MENU (F10) USED THROUGHOUT MISSION!!! I will update this mission to iron out any bugs or to add more functionality Cheers and all the best for the holidays Stevie Thanks

many thanks, appreciate the fast response -
Hi, No the problem is still apparent. The headphones (ai radio calsl) audio seems to be bleeding into the main audio output (default) depending on position of my head? Its hard to tell with VR on. I did think maybe the Rifts Mic was picking up headphones and feeding back. Will test further.. Also just to note that by radio calls I mean audio files played through RADIO in mission editor via ai aircraft. So yeah still got the issue. Its more complex with VR I guess.
-
Ha ok. I have now set my main audio to default (as opposed to realtekhd, my audio card) I think that may solved but await further testing later today. Also to note im using GUI installer to launch DCS as VR or NON PR profiles. Cheers

DCS has dual audio outputs, main audio and headphones. My main audio goes to surround sound, my headphones goes to rifts. With this set up only the radios in the AC should route to the rifts with ALL other audio going to main output. Works great in NON VR. Thanks
-
Hi, Yes I have the same audio routing issue. NON VR mode - audio routing fine - DCS works fine, main audio to surround speakers, radio comms to my usb headphones. Great In VR Mode - audio routing not working - With RiftS the radio messages come out both the main speakers and the headphone and thus audio routing has not been split. Has anyone solved this? Thanks

Hi, I am currently in the process of creating a series of RAF Tornado Gr4 (Ai) skins for DCS. Starting off with two plain grey liveries and then jets for each squadron. We will then attempt some specials. The skin pack is now live on DCS User Files https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313013/ We will add extra skins as they develop. If yu would like to help or contribute please DM me. Thanks

HI, I have created a mission in Caucasus. 6 x Harriers drop full bomb loads on ground targets and caches at Kutaisi almost simultaneously. This causes the mission which I am part of to go into a meltdown in terms of slow, choppy type thing. I have read that the explosions in the simulator can cause some stuttering because of rendering or suchlike. I run a good Rift S/VR system and normally get good performance but even with everything turned down this mission simply runs into epileptic mode. Any ideas or cures? Thanks in advance

Voiceover and sounds for DCS missions
Looking Glass replied to Looking Glass's topic in Mission Editor
thanks, any chance you can point me towards some samples -
Hi, It would be really good to pull together a list of users who would be interested in doing voiceovers for DCS user missions and campaigns. None the less because I am looking to see if I can find a user on here who would be interested in doing some voice samples for a special RAF Tornado mission that I have created. Being in the industry i've got a few skills with audio/sound/music/voice and thought it would be great to group together to help DCS users with sound for missions. I would be interested in helping others too. Maybe this should be done via a Facebook group? Any ideas/thoughts or pointers appreciated. Thanks Steve
