  1. A massive benefit of Jetseat vibrators is that they are placed very close to your body, hence they don´t need to be very powerful or big in size, contrary to shakers which are bigger and even depending on external amps, and more expensive as you noticed. If you are considering adding shakers, a key point is isolation. You want all the energy the shaker creates directed to your body rather than disperse all along the structure, seat chassis, side consoles and floor. Long story short, the better the isolation, the smaller the required shakers for an equivalent amount of feeling. Seat cars are built with confort in mind so they have think padding, that´s why many users choose racing seats, it´s a matter of balance. With these factors, I think you choosing the Jetseat is the right solution. For using the Jetseat with IL-2, it´s mandatory you pay for Andre´s Simshaker Wings software. For DCS, you can use free Simshaker for Aviators, or again Simshaker Wings software For racing games, you can use free SimHub software, or Andre´s Simshaker Wheels software. I tried to put it clear, don´t hesitate to ask more questions if you need it. That´s a very decent setup and man cave, sir, enjoy it!!
  2. yes they are, maybe you could search the web for some users selling theirs from USA and get a discount for second hand units. I don´t fly unless the seat is on. I hope that helps you making a decision Whatever path you choose, jetseat or shakers, you are making the right decision. The feedback they provide is amazing. Also bear in mind both options are compatible to each other. Also make sure you feed them with DCS telemetry instead of just sound waves activation. My advice for shakers though, install a pair number of units so you can feel the effects on stereo mode. A single unit just doesn´t cut it and falls short.
  3. I´m certain it has to do with the fabric, padding and chassis material. Also consider you sat directly over the exciters with jetseat and most likely now they are farther from your skin. Did you also installed the buttkicker from your signature into the new cockpit?
  4. You can use a cheap amp and Dayton audio thruster, then buying simshaker sound module and you are golden
  5. Yes it is, you just need to warn them before the actual shipping
  6. You have to order now from Andre shop, he builds the latest iteration from Russia
  7. It was a game changer since its released two decades ago during my falcon4 days. Nowadays the pricetag remains the same and there are better and Cheaper alternatives out there.
  8. Most likely the perpetual engine effect is diluting all other effects. My suggestion is put 0 level to engine, feel the others, then reactive the engine effect and try 10~30% values so you feel it but keep feeling others.
  9. Received my unit, however I can't fly dcs to getting home by next week. The device feels solid, the pushbuttons provide a nice feedback. Can't wait, and once again can't enough echoes how supportive @MilesDhas been during the whole process.
  10. Believe me, no factor after muscle Memory kicks in and helping tips like adding adhesives to key buttons (just the center of each row and column)
  11. I changed my shadows settings for Marianas, putting them to flat. But again, I´m flying mostly singleplayer or simple multiplayer missions. With the graphic profiles switching is a matter of seconds. I will also recheck the display resolution, I thought it was no factor for VR. Thank you!
  12. yeah the i5 8400 it´s more than 3 year old, it was an average CPU then so it shows its age more than high-end items. But ey I ran DCS VR with that an a 1060 3Gb so, it´s good fun with my current rig I have to turn things down right? lol oh I remember why I use ASW on. With ASW off, whenever I move my head, the image "doubles", making scanning the instruments very very tiresome for my eyes.
  13. When I dogfight in jets, with Oculus ASW on, the other aircraft is ghosting. I use Oculus Tray tool. I thought of assigning the shortcut to turn ASW on and off to a button of my HOTAS, so all the fligth time ASW is on BUT the dogfight phase. Any experiences?
  14. did you try Araldite to rebuild the thing? although Im sure it´s tricky.
  15. Please don´t take this wrong, but do you have a timeline in mind for this? Q1 2022? Should I start saving a euro per day???
  16. If you are running into issues, I would recommend focus on a single airframe, tune the controls to your liking, make sure DCS double binding is not acting up, and once you are happy, move along. Use the controls overlay to check how your inputs translate into dcs 3d world. I think it´s RCTRL + Enter.
  17. Check "PointCTRL Discord - Information - Currently shipping orders" so they update the number they are sending out. However I think they are still processing orders from Sept-Oct 2020. Last update from August 15th, unit #530
  18. On the contrary, you would develop muscle memory really fast, the very same you operate diferent switches, hats and so from your HOTAS.
  19. that´s smart, however I never took the time to develop muscle memory for asigning left-right click to the HOTAS or the touch controllers to operate; I still use a trackball by my right thigh. PointCTRL is on its way too.
