  1. KA-50 with the current trim state of the Apache, its the only helicopter in my modules that tries to kill me

After flying this morning with a friend on our server in separate Apaches and George as the CPG, I can report that this issue with the laser also affected us in this combination,, In my Apache with Gorge as CPG I could see him fire the laser on the pilot TADS and with consent to fire he had a missile away, my mate never saw the laser fire on his pilot TADS and Gorge would not release the Hellfire's when he had a target locked and had consent to fire, all firing parameters meet Trigger on guard, A/S On. As soon as my mate picked a new Apache and locked up a target he could see the laser fire on his TADS and Gorge engaged correctly. In single player I always see Gorge lase in the pilot TADS Hope this gets fixed or found as its a 50/50 chance you get a working Apache in M/P

Doing a lot of flying last night 3x teams in MP as Pilot/CPG, we discovered that Hellfires were not tracking and hitting targets, 2 of the teams were having issues yet the 3rd team was hitting targets spot on. All firing parameters were meet for this test, and we were all on different codes. The difference between the 2 teams were the ones not hitting the targets the CPG did not get the big box in his screen just the small box, the team hitting the targets were getting the big lock on box. What we found was that that 2x teams that could not hit targets the CPG could see the laser firing but the Pilot could not see it in his TADS screen, the team hitting the targets both Pilot and CPG saw the laser fire. We jumped back into other HOT start Apaches and did the following tests on the ground. Laser ON, GND override ON, A/S ON, CPG switched to TADS and fired the laser, if both the pilot and CPG saw the laser fire we would fly off and engage targets fine with out and issues, if the Pilot couldn't see the laser fire then the Hellfires would not work, we worked out just moved to a new Apache until we found one where both Pilot and CPG could see the laser fire before flying away, This was very random, I had 8 Apache's in the mission all HOT start and it happened to every one at some stage in testing. Hope this helps and maybe some one can replicate.

  5. Hi any one able to tell me what button I press as the CPG to get my Hellfire's out of safe mode, I have white writing behind them that says SAFE, I have looked everywhere. I have the trigger guard set to open from the pilots seat and CPG seat and can fire the guns and rockets, but I cant use my hellfire's as they have big bold SAFE written in white, in all the videos i have watched no video has SAFE in white behind them.
  6. There seems no way to tell George in FLT mode to increase height which seems a little odd and left out of the flight mode part, if flying around hills will George try to fly over them ??
  7. I just re-watched the video, I didn't realize that Short right in H-B or any other mode would do commands for either Left or Right and this was my confusion

I have watched the George AI video by Matt many times now and I can not get George to do any thing Short Left, all it does is change the mode as explained by Matt at the start of the video, he will do everything short right but short left does not work as its also used to change the flight modes they way ED have set it up, I have tried also sorts pf presses and it just doesn't work. Id love to be able to bind the change mode key to something else.

It seem you are unable to fly from the CPG position or switch between the Pilot and CPG in MP, this is very much like the Hind and its such a shame as the CPG position in MP is where the fun would be. I really hope this comes as it the Apache really needs it, the Hind not so much as the CPG had limited functions, but the Apache sure does as its a major role that is great to play. I cant understand the design issue as you can control George AI from the back in MP so why not the front ?? Cheers

    AH-64D VR

    It runs great in VR and is nice to fly one of the easiest helicopters to fly apart from the KA50 which is a dream to fly trimmed FPS on my rig with a 3090 didn't change at all from the last build VR issues I have found so far AI George helper is in a terrible position for VR users compared to 2D, once again as with the Hind VR CPG issues and the display to set the flares and chaff in the Hind being in a terrible spot for VR, I dont believe they really test this stuff in VR as it would be very obvious of these issues. Other than that its brilliant in VR

Hi guys im setting up a training area for our guys using helicopters on one of our missions, I have 3 specific targets areas each with a load of units at them, I have created a separate trigger above each of them called Target 1-3, how can I set these trigger so once all the units are destroyed to re-spawn the units 1 hr later.   12. I honestly think they will take it right to the very end date given, I mean why wouldn't you use that time now to give it some more polish or fix found bugs.
  13. Just wait for it. if it makes Q1 2022 its only 5 weeks away, there are plenty of other cool AC or helos to fly
  14. Fantastic update looks great, its the best map in DCS by far and this is going to make it so much more.
  15. Any super carrier development is welcome its been out 2 years, but me I'm with others I cant see the point to this, I doubt our squad will use it, id rather have a more fleshed out deck experience for night time landings and take offs, and operational deck lifts we could use.
  16. Yeh I hope they fix it in an update as I have stopped playing as the CPG with an AI pilots as its pretty flawed in using the weapon sight.
  17. Trying to use the Hind CPG gunsight in VR is a realy mess if you use any of the helpers Matt mentions in the video. The compass overlay still moves with your head so gets in the way of the gun sight and can move all over the sight as you move your head, the LWIN+H helper overlays into the gun sight also but stays static, in 2D this is not an issue, I cant believe they dont pick this stuff in testing prior to EA release, it says to me they dont even test this stuff in VR. The solution would be to lock the helper compass off screen as soon as you enter the sight and make it look exactly the same as the 2D sight, and move the LWIN-H off the sight and it the black area when it should be like the 2D sight
  18. The track is rather long is there anyway to shorten them ?? Im happy to upload it to a google drive if you want it and want to watch it all, the Gazelle flight is at the end though im afraid.
  19. I can also report this bug happens with the Mi-24 when it loses a wing and the Gazelle when the co-pilot gets killed, all bugs seen online in MP, unsure of SP
  20. Same bug as the KA50 which does the same and we reported, the AI treats the unit as dead

Playing on a MP server last night and my mate had his wing stub shot off his KA50 over a Sam site, the site was defended by man-pads, SA19 and 2x Shilkas, all these assets ignored him after he lost his pylon and he was able to kill them all at close range and clean them up and then move on to another active site, I think they considered him KIA, we know the site was still active with AI as it was still trying to engaging me in my KA50
  22. Thats a pretty optimistic view of what's coming, id say ED AH-64 BS3, other devs the F15, F4U for sure. I have the Ah-64 on pre order but will hold off for BS3 and the F15 until I see a commitment to them finishing off EA releases and core gameplay features Me id be happy with the above and for ED to concentrate on core features to the game and finish of what they have started which is listed below Dynamic weather Better AI on the ground vehicles and troops (need for the Apache and other helo ops for realistic gameplay) Super Carrier (Released May20 2020) plenty of promises but fixed a beer belly on 1 AI...ha ha Vulcan and better CPU implementations (promised for years) Combined Arms VR implementation (finish it off to a playable state its so very nearly there) Loads of existing bug fixes that have hung around for years on some modules (plenty of info on these if searched for) Cheers
  23. The brakes have indeed been fixed in the Mossie, so much better now for ground handling.
  24. Biggest seller of this plane should be the ability to use fuzed bombs for its real life ops, released 17th Sept 2021, 5 months on and still not an option , at least the brakes were fixed.
