  1. I'm assuming other than range, the SLAM-ER will offer more hands off approach with greater accuracy than the SLAM.
  2. I hope these issues get ironed out in the next update.
  3. Picked up the A-10C back in 2014 I think on sale. Only spent $13 for it. :)
  4. That's the one factor I didn't think of. I mostly cruise at those speeds. I had the Tomcat actually super cruising the other day doing Mach 1.1 and the the vibrating was definitely there. I've been too used to the smooth ride the Hornet provides.
  5. Hoping with the addition of a pre-order discount, the cost comes down to around $15.
  6. I'm sure it's been brought up before so my apologies. I notice even in smooth level flight, the cockpit shacks and rattles continuously regardless of what conditions you're flying in as well as when flying in a clean configuration. Is this really accurate to the flight experience according to previous Tomcat crews?
  7. Reading more here on the differences between the Hornet and F-16 FCRs, I have to admit it would have been sweet to have gotten a version of the F-16 using the newer V9 radar. More range plus the SAR component.
  8. I've had moments where the radar simply doesn't detect much of anything infront of me when I was pointed in the right direction by an AWACS or it doesn't discern the contacts as hostile. Just neutral.
  9. Yeah. The AIM-7 is pretty bad. I haven't tried the ED Sparrow yet to see if there is any difference.
  10. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/35127/the-blue-angels-have-officially-received-their-first-f-a-18e-super-hornet Still hoping to get one more chance to see them perform in the Legacy Hornet but who knows with COVID.
  11. The ST21 was a proposed concept so that will never happen.
  12. I'd appreciate the F-14D since it would align with the same period of time the ED Hornet is spec'd to. Ofcourse so would the F-14B(U). The APG-71 alone would be the selling point for the D model for me.
  13. Will the Super Hornet AI also have an aerial refueling capability that other aircraft can use?
  14. I believe it would violate changes the Russian government has implemented with regards to the release of potentially sensitive military information. Something ED can't do being a Russian-based company. At this point, I'd be happy with some additional aircraft to FC3 or MAC (when that comes out).
  15. I'd like to see the MUMI page become a thing and the Harpoon actually have a realistic damage model.
  16. While I've not been in the RIO seat since the patch. I did notice Jester having a much harder time obtaining and holding a lock since the update.
  17. I doubt you're going to see another sale until October/November.
  18. I'm getting some kind of warning message about finding unknown files in my DCS download folder. What's this about?
  19. When did they start implementing the hardware improvements to the F-14A and B models (TID, Sparrowhawk, etc)? I'm assuming around in the 1999-2003 timeframe.
  20. The Kiev and Sovremenny would be great.
  21. The Mig-27K Flogger-J2 or even the somewhat simpler Mig-27M would be a sick Redfor aircraft to get.
  22. This is a big reason why I wish there was more competition in the combat flight simulator genre currently. There is certainly enough open-source data and even ways to physically access a more modern RU aircraft in the West to produce a simulator for it.
  23. Looking at images of both the Hornet and the Falcon with their radar dishes on display, they don't look much different in size aside from the obvious shape difference of the APG-68. Just curious on what gives the APG-73 its superior detection range.
  24. I would expect the Heatblur rendition of the HGU-68 will be more detailed than the current ED version in the Hornet and F-16.
  25. Would have preferred ED had held off on the F-16 altogether until the Hornet was in a near finalized state. But what's done is done. I'm just looking forward to fixes to the core of the sim itself as well as to the F/A-18.
