1. I know this is off-topic but I noticed that the Hornet can't super-cruise like it could before when you ran a very clean configuration. At max military thrust after running AB, I could hold the speed at about Mach 1.02 at around 20,000 ft. Now it can't go past Mach .98 under the same conditions.
2. I'd actually like to see the Viggen expanded upon with the JA-37. the D model would be especially interesting.
3. How are other key system functions such as TWS progressing and is there a chance of seeing that implemented soon?
4. Hoping that the delay just means we get a much more feature complete and bug-free TGP in the end.
5. The Taiwan strait is something I'm onboard. Although, I'd like to see the Caucasus map expanded into a Black Sea map to include a detailed Crimea and Southern Ukraine. Could recreate quite a few missions from the Ukraine campaign from the old Jane's USNF titles.
6. The ultimate version of the Tomcat plus the AIM-7P would be very welcome additions. AMRAAMs don't belong on the F-4 Phantom, yet over time it (the F-4F) was upgraded to employ them.
7. I think the AIM-7P would be more ideal for the Tomcat. Granted the AIM-7M is much more reliable now after the update it seems. I never noticed there was an AIM-120A though.
8. What other systems still need to be completed before Track While Scan can be implemented?
9. Ehh. My expectations are end of July we finally see the Litening II pod.
10. There has been alot of silence on the tpod. I always take this as a good sign since they're busting hump on getting it done. The timing of Hornet updates has been wonky as of late so I wouldn't discount the possibility of the Litening pod being implemented outside the regular OB update schedule. We'll have to wait and see.
11. If no tutorial video is out by this evening, I'd say the answer is no.
12. We're getting the F-8 Juliet so no worries on that front.
13. The Tpod has been seen in multiple videos now mounted underneath the Hornet. The only thing we haven't seen is a lesson video on its operation yet which usually gets posted within 48 hours before release.
14. A Taiwan Strait or Hainan Island map would be awesome.
15. I'm just looking forward to self-lazing, hopefully next week. If we get the chin mount later, that will be convenient for external fuel mounting.

F-15E?

Curious. Will this Strike Eagle have the more powerful F100 -229 engines over the F100s used in the F-15C and older E models?
17. The modern HUD wasn't the only perk the F-14D had. The DFCS and the APG-71 plus enhanced cockpit are bigger deals in my view along with the ability to deploy the JDAM.

Update

So, what MSI essentially allows is to transfer what we're getting in the SA feed to our radar feed? Very nice and were getting closer to AutoIFF.

Update

Kind of wagering on a Friday update.
20. +1 to see the Whiskey Cobra over the Foxtrot.
21. Maybe I haven't been paying attention but I also just noticed the AIM-7 and AIM-120 also look more detailed. I'm still hoping more AI aircraft get a refresh from their low-res LOMAC design in the near future.
22. So the JSOW is a JDAM with vastly extended range and an additional warhead option. I'm also curious on how the Harpoon will be effective without A-G radar still not implemented. I'm assuming it has an internal radar that activates at a point and goes for the first thing it sees.
23. Personally, I think the F-14 is one of the much better sounding aircraft in DCS. I remember sitting on the tarmac on one end of the base with three F-14s idling all the way at the other end and the noise level they made easily drowned out most everything else. There are certainly areas I could see improvement. It would be great if that lowbeat howl the GE-equipped Tomcats produced in a bank could be reproduced in game.
24. Some incredibly clean footage of carrier ops from 1962. It's surprising how small the Essex class carriers really were.
25. From what I understand, the AIM-120C-7 still only has an effective range of around 33nm while the new AMRAAM-D doubles that. The real sweetener to the C-7 is what Kev2go describes.
