  1. Really because there are 2 versions on the DCS Download page.
  2. so how do I easily change from 2.5.2 release to beta for the hornet?
  3. I didn't take the day off though, although I have been checking the phone, think I will have to change to 2.5 beta though which I will do now thank!
  4. Burger helper and toilet duck, looks like he mixed them up already.
  5. Damn it, i misread and thought it was released on the 28th, looks like this "illness' is going to last all week boss........3
  6. Can you put these on a shapeways shop so those without 3D printers can buy them?
  7. Hi Pocketedition, what type of joystick device do you use and do you use a multiplier key to increase the inputs? I ask because if you have a spare button anywhere in reach, add it as a multiplier in DCS and then you can use any input device as a second device, it replicates the keyboard, but when you push the multiplier, you can use you second input device how you want?
  8. There probably are but not everyone is making exactly what you are after? I printed the Hornet Natops manual at 400% and its as accurate as I need as I am not making a replica. K-Lu Sketchup file is good depending on what you want, I use the tape measure in sketchup to confirm I am ballpark for measurements. You just need to keep "ungrouping" until you get the part you want. IIRC he doesnt claim to be accurate although one of the guys on Hornetpits has posted pictures from inside a Swiss F/A-18 with some tape measures.
  9. Its all in the TigersharkBAS thread at the top of the page in sticky. I used a Groovy Game Gear USB controller, some microswitches turn it into a USB keyboard then used laminated paper printed in Powerpoint for the caps, they hide a multitude of sins with what is, in my opinion the absolute hardest thing to do without a CNC, making square holes. Then you can use a pinky or spare joystick button as a multiplier and double your inputs hence why my keys have 2 inputs, top and bottom.
  10. Whats with all the dust cover posts being spammed?
  11. Its more fun to create your own, I once made a CDU for my Eurofighter pit but it would work on any.
  12. It's probably been asked but is there a Canpaign with F/A-18?
  13. Probably try and find youtube start up sequences for the aircraft you want to fly.
  14. Can it be made possible that despite Mission Editors request to manually start the aircraft, you can select to start 'hot' for every mission? At least in single player. Went to play the campaign and have to wait whilst the cheat fires up the aircraft, not interested...want to fly now.
  15. I only have DCS and Windows on my SSD - everything else on a HDD. However, if you want Normandy, Nevada, Caucuses and Hormuz you start filling that SSD up pretty fast!
  16. Very nice!
  17. Are those motors on the ejection seat to create a harness pulling sensation for motion?
  18. I meant PCIe 4 sorry. So the 8700k will be relevant for another few years (as far as is known)? What about the 14nm? chips I heard about or are these the server ones you mentioned?
  19. Thanks I will have a look at that!
  20. I have been trying to find a roadmap for PC technology, Im currently saving for a new PC and am clouded by all the jargon and info. My thoughts are by the time I am ready (post september 2018) there will be a new chipset running PCIe3?? which will run a new Intel chip and more than likely a 1080Ti upgrade. Google is useless as there are so many articles on everything I start losing my mind at Coffee lake, Kaby Lake, Ice Lake.....then they mix up the dates with an article dated 2 weeks old says to look out for the i7 7800k release in October...2017. Of course you are welcome to be that source of information if you keep up with all this! Any other places you go to fish for all the info i need?
  21. Got a lot of gear in there, well done! What are the 4 smaller monitors? There looks to be a lot of bolts with the thread facing upwards which might cause a few injuries? You could probably buy thread caps for them if there are any pain points in use?
  22. I am advocate of paying for modules because the entry level is free and the development is never ending. If ED don't sell modules then ED doesn't exist. That said, it could be added to Combined Arms which seems to me as bit of a under developed product, that said, I bought it so long ago just to be a SAM operator I have never explored its capability.
  23. Yes it is another cry, but so what, the more, the louder, the better!! Never flown Falcon 4 so I dont know what the levels of Dynamics are but all I can say is I do not feel part of anything in DCS (Single Player only, I dont want to play MP). It needs to have AI pilots who gain experience and who can help support newer pilots when you are building your squadron strength, the ability to switch to which ever aircraft mission you want (providing you have the module) and it needs an inventory of pilots, aircraft and ground forces.
  24. Would be nice if someone could update that though, especially as we are now "stable". It was an easy bit of kit to use!
  25. Are these things as uncomfortable as they look? I use a decent car seat and it still gets a bit uncomfortable after a few hours, couldn't imagine sitting on MDF even with a cushion.
