Just did two landings on the Lincoln Instant action mission and one on the Washington. Definitely handy. Hope they can add a case I departure if not cold start on Supercarrier instant action, as well. Didn't have the option for the ball call. Think that was mentioned as a known issue for Tomcat? Would not let me contact the tower to request take off so had to end the mission and start again.

I'm thinking ED wouldn't really do much for Tomcat as would expect HB to have all the good stuff for the Forrestals as HB can't really count on people having Supercarrier. That said, would be nice to have at least a Case I landing and a cold/hot/cat starts from Super Carrier as Instant Action missions, though I wonder if that's even possible or if it would have to stay free/stock Stennis? Or would IA's be allowed to fork for those who have SC?

Finally back it on the new version for 2.5.6. About the same on Tomcat, but getting much better on the Bug.

Have you been keeping up with Supercarrier? Few extra ATC steps probably add manually at first.

Heatblur would probably have to do that.

To practice RIO, I have some training flights with cold start, long navigation waypoints and then hop to back seat and practice radar modes on friendlies on waypoints and circuits. Then I do a mock intercept back at pilot and maybe aerial refuel before RTB and landing.

Ah got it. Been considering rolling back to stable and this might be another bullet point towards that as well. Only the idea that supercarrier might be imminent is holding me back and mostly playing single player. Is there any way to see the fuel status? I figured out the left MFD with right shift+P ("show pilot"), which I mapped to HOTAS, but as far as I can tell no way to see the fuel status.

I played after a long while and can't see any external skin again. Is that a bug and I've missed an update? Strangest part if I load some missiles I can see just one missile (had 4 x loaded). I then tried an empty load but still couldn't see anything external.

I'd be just as happy with the open beta release only supporting single player for super carrier to start. In fact that might even be preferable to get bearings etc and then when it drops for MP, so m uch the better all the learning curves are done. Is that possible?

Jester makes it so easy. Had the bug hit where the human RIO logs out and had no RIO. Jester wouldn't answer... so had to figure out how to tune Tacan and the radios from the pilot seat. Probably looked at the kneeboard 20 times, but eventually got it. lol

Renaming the free one is an excellent idea and Eisenhower would be perfect since Heatblur has the TR subclass. That or just leave Stennis off of the Supercarrier naming conventions. Two is needlessly confusing.

Definitely seems room for some tweaking. I've noticed my RAM usage is 20-30GB in multiplayer and ever since 2.5.6 I've had multiple crashes due to RAM (killing some of my other applications, too) while I'm usually peak of 20GB in the Hornet in MP.

Hoping broken wires are possible. Let's see who's ready to eject and/or if it's possible to bolter.

Anyone ever do anything for F-14D? I'd love to 3d print the MFD for example, though would probably be doing an imaginary F-14E cockpit since making 4 x MFD's in a T would be relatively easy than making a bunch of distinct gauges and since I fly in VR would just need to fill them with graphics instead of screens though I'd be doing functional buttons and rotaries. Then it's just the vertical consoles with the various handles and switches. My right console switchbox is in the planning stage (have the boxes and planning to order switches).

The asymmetry of the F-14D bugs me lol. Would have preferred just left the VDI and HSD and put MFDs on either side. Or did 3 or 4 MFD (similar to F-22). Those blank spots where the HSD was could have either taken the rest of the analog gauges (though if they kept the same size MFD there'd be room between if they did 3 in a row on top), though the 4 MFD would have been the nicest. I really wish we would have gotten the F-14B Upgrade to be more distinct from the F-14A, as well as having a more modern HUD.

Basically don't hold your breath and we may have it by the end of the month. If there are more vids and details released next week, it sounds like they're making decent progress, but obviously weren't close to ready on April 15th.

The last two are wicked.

The radio silence is most disturbing. Just say "not ready yet, target is May 31" would be ok. Some might grumble but out would preempt most doom and gloom sky is falling if not hopeless optimism (fewer these days).

Love the feature and look at it every time I land. Though the latest MP rubberbanding has me doing field landings again (which I probably should practice anyway). I originally thought it was an ED thing and was trying to call it up in the Hornet... and was disappointed. Were you planning something to determine the grade?

Nah. I'd rather they did the Navy F-4J/N/S with Jester.

Probably not, though we can hope it shows up on the D. ;)

I'd really want Enterprise CVN-65 more than anything... WW2, I want CV-6.
