  1. I thought nvidia fxaa didn't work on the rift?
  2. I picked up a left hand trackball to use beside my throttle. Mouse with right, trackball with left.
  3. So what is the baseline for the in game ipd? Is 1 then 1:1 default?
  4. In A-10C sitting on runway world sound set to 25 opening or closing canopy there is no change in engine volume. Both hear like helmet on and off is effected. I want very quiet engines with the canopy closed to mimic RL
  5. Can't wait for the vive controllers to be allowed. There are drivers for the Leap Motion to mimic the controllers with your hands. Love to see if full hand interaction with the cockpit can be achieved.
  6. MSAA stops texture crawl and sparkling on the terrain, something PD won't cure
  7. When I updated to 2.5 I saved my controls diff.lua file and then cleared my savegame folder to start fresh settings. I moved the saved controls lua back into the folder and load the settings in game, but none of my settings are loading. It's staying the default settings
  8. I'm setting up my HOTAS and came across the fact that even though this is a dial in the plane, there is no analogue axis to map to it. I've got 2 rotaries on my X-65 and there are 3 dials on the real radar stick: Scan range, gain dial, and elevation dial, but only the gain is an axis. between the 2 rotaries and mouse wheel on the throttle, I could map all three to dials, but since they aren't axises in the game I can't without creating a custom profile for the throttle just for the Viggen, which I like to avoid.
  9. I'd wish they kept the button layout of the x-65 throttle on the x-55 with the extra base buttons. I'm still hanging onto my x-65 throttle as the number of hats plus rotaries hasn't been topped yet.
  10. I'm keeping my hope up for Leap. There are hacks to have your hands appear as controllers in steam vr. Hopefully there is hope in using your hands in vr.
  11. That's why we should be talking about vr. There had be available system to help overcome the low pixel density of vr. The imposer system worked well for the brief time I was able to use it with vr before it was gone. To ignore the issue completely locks out the vr user. There has to be some system to help compensate for the current tech in vr.
  12. Have track ir running as well? It picks up the rift's ir dots and guess crazy.
  13. I don't believe the Oculus or Steam VR runtime support SLI/Crossfire. DCS can't support it because neither system will. Their explanation is that there is too much latency in multi GPU environments.
  14. For recording the 9 line brief a page on the knee board that logged all the radio transmissions would do the trick.
  15. Has anyone mounted a VKB stick on the Virpil table clamp?
  16. Got rid of my triple screen setup. Outside of Sims no games really sorry it and was tired of hacking in support and not really working. Replaced the setup with a single 49" 4k TV.

  20. Mine was the opposite. It came looking like it got ran over and was wet, but everything was fine inside
  21. How it could work is that the LM tracks the x-y of your finger/hand in the cockpit for the mouse pointer and at a certain distance in the z axis you press the button/switch. Not a true 3d experience, but would work.
  22. I wonder if this even needs to be written into the engine or if it could be implemented in the drivers? I mean the graphics engine sends the render info to the GPU and there driver discards the parts that wouldn't be needed and only render the pixels needed? Still would be more efficient than just rendering the full frame
  23. Since it's 4k you could try just running at 1080p. It should down sample fine (4 pixels to make up 1)
  24. Trying to be patient and see what the new AMD GPU is like before I pull the trigger to replace my 290x
