Maybe ED will "adopt" the Better Trees officially in the next update. I was surprised and HAPPY when I found that the better trees was still working great in 2.7.

When I first got the EyeTracker I watched too many Tobii videos and played around with the settings for a few days. So far so good in DCS. Here are my Head Tracking Settings for comparison: (Maybe you have a setting or two that you can adjust and get back to TrackIR 5 type performance) Head tracking settings Enable head tracking ON Head auto center ON Head rotation Enable head roll ON Yaw sensitivity 3.75 Pitch sensitivitry 2.75 Roll sensitivity 1.00 Sensitivity gradient Exponent 2 Inflection point 0.45 Start point 0.00 End point 0.80 View angle limits Yaw 130 <> -130 Pitch 90 <> -30 Pitch mirror OFF Head position Enable head position ON X sensitivity 0.95 Y sensitivity 2.00 Z sensitivity 1.5 Another tip I found was related to Jittery Tracking: Use Mouse Polling rate 125 not 1000 . For DCs if setting is not there it could result in Jittery Tracking. Test: Use ALT + C to look around with the mouse see if is extremely jittery and not smooth. The fix for that was to change Mouse Polling rate from 1000 down to 125or 100.

Better Smoke V22 for DCS 2.9
YSIAD_RIP replied to Taz1004's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
From your browser: Right Click the Better Smoke Version you want select the Save link as.. option follow prompts. -
I agree Native Support in the future would be for the best. @Vortex7, when you described "zooming in over the cockpit buttons and jumping around" I got the impression you are using Head Tracking and Eye Tracking (Glance) at the same time. Have you tried dialing down the Gaze tracking settings or just turning them off all together by setting the Pitch and Yaw Limits to 0 degrees? For Example Here are my "Dialed Down" Gaze tracking settings TOBII Eye Tracker 5C Setting Gaze tracking settings: Responsiveness 60% Sensitivity gradient: Exponent 1.50 Inflection point 0.10 Start point 0.00 End point 0.90 Limits: Yaw 25 <> -25 Pitch 20 <> -20 Pitch mirror OFF Cheers and good luck!

MAPS - Great idea! I may not get a chance to update everything for a few days - but just want to be first to say thank you. Cheers..

I just installed 2.7 a few hours ago. I did quick test and enabled this mod 20 minutes ago - it seems to be working. However, I will leave the official word on compatibility with MUSTANG. Re: What does this MOD do? - From my observations and the First Page of this Tread - This mod deactivates the flat shadows of practically all scenery objects (notably trees/forests and buildings) within DCS World, only leaving shadows for own aircraft and surrounding objects such as ground units and other aircraft.

@SkateZilla, the DCS Updater / Launcher GUI Utility is essential - I appreciate and look forward to the update. Last year I started adding more to DCS and found myself using the External Apps launcher to manually and or automatically launch utilities. I am now using C1, C2, C3, and C4. Will this feature still exist in the next version and will it be possible to have the icons adopt the default icon from the Windows EXE file? Cheers and Thanks!

YSIAD_RIP replied to jarekzegarek's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I just ordered the X56 Stick Extension. Maybe some 1/10 Scale 125mm (Hole to Hole) shocks lying in a drawer will be fun tory try. If I can work out something in the next 4 to 6 weeks I will post a picture. Cheers -
Looking like an Instant Classic.. Thanks!

Hi, @=Andre=Thank you for your quick reply to my e-mail! To anyone in Canada that has Received a JetPad in the last 3 years can you confirm how much TAX and Duty you Paid? I am hoping that it will just be the Standard 13% HST and 5% Default Duty after that. [edit] It's Official - My Order has been Placed in the shop and I got my INVOICE # IN##00##32 It looks like my "wife" will eventually be getting a Olive Green JetPad FSE edition. Hahaha I did appreciate how buying SimsHaker WHEELS at the time of checkout gives a discount on the software. A purchase of SimShaker Wings at the same time with a similar discount would have resulted in me getting both, but I will hold off for now. Cheers.

SATA SSD or PCIe NVME SSD?
YSIAD_RIP replied to Hammerhead's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
To avoid potential future performance problems try not to completely fill any SSD or NVME. For running and loading DCS you should not see much if any difference between a GOOD SSD and an NVME. (You would have to do Benchmarking with a stopwatch to Notice) Look at a minimum 500 GB or 1TB (if you have other games and Lots of Mods and skins in your Saved Games) if you can. Go with what is on Sale and what has good reviews and performance with read and write. I have a 1 TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD and it is Half Used now with DCS, IL2 and a few other things. -
@pet333rI love the Latest Updates! We can never make it so that locations are perfect for all devices and users preferences. - This is just LIFE! I like the Navigation Buttons Style < > and that they are opaque is an excellent idea. They are the same as your Webpage - Nice. As people get used to the button locations, you could even have a dial in Settings to further reduce opaqueness. Consistency of Navigation buttons Location is a nice feature and I see you did that as much as possible. You managed to use the Top Right and Top Left Corner for the majority of panels when in Landscape and Portrait. If button location is the same place 100% of the time you can make the Left and Right Navigating buttons as much as 30-50% smaller or thinner. Potentially you can even use a BUTTON-DOT to further reduce conflicts. Maybe there is less chance of future conflict by putting navigation buttons on the bottom? The top buttons may "feel" more intuitive for most. Table Shows Panels that do not have Navigation Buttons < > on Top Right and Left. You may have success moving them in a future update - This is clearly not a Priority. Plane: Panel (Orientation) A10C UFC (Landscape) AV-8B N/A UFC (Landscape) - Master Warning looks like a real conflict? F14 ACMP (Landscape) F16 Right Console (Landscape) F/A-18C UFC (Landscape and Portrait) JF-17 UFCP(Landscape) ** KA-50 ** F-5E ** M-2000C ** AJS37 ** - Not Applicable or Already Consistent - Thanks for this Great APP!

I don't own a AMD x570 yet, but it is on my wishlist. I hope the coming April AMD AGESA 1.2.02 update fixes USB issues including any on X56. https://www.anandtech.com/show/16554/amd-set-to-roll-out-agesa-firmware-usb-fix-for-ryzen-coming-april

New Guy with some hardware questions
YSIAD_RIP replied to greyeagle787's topic in New User Briefing Room
Re: JetSeat and war stories: I have just starting reading-skimming the Main ED Forum Threads for the JetSeat and Free(Donation Ware) Software called SimShaker for Aviators. Looks like 5 years of comments and over 200 Pages mostly positive comments and some reviews so far. Lots of the typical Trouble shooting and and Feature Request questions with constant participation by the developers. So far it seems better than what I have now, which is a 20 year old Herman Aeron Office chair. 2 Threads: Gametrix JetSeats thread (in English) [Official] SimShaker for Aviators Forums thread at ED forums -

Yah.. the Technology in Sim Pits is fantastic these days, especially for car racing. There is Something Called a Buttkicker Gamer2 that looks like it adds even more "Kick" to your chair.. lol. I do know that Flight Sim and Race Car sims are MUCH MUCH cheaper than real racing.. I hope to get the "courage" to order the JetSeat this week, I just realized how "DEAD" everything felt when taxing, landing and flying in DCS. There is just no soul. You even get haptic feedback when airbrake and flaps are deployed and with Angle of Attack.. lol.. I will just tell my wife it is a Massage Pad for Office Chairs.. lol.. After you decide on a Flight Stick, or during your purchase, consider an extension of 10 cm or more depending on where you will place the flight stick. Having that extra length gives more fine/realistic control in flight, especially for helicopters. Just search around and enjoy the journey. Cheers. -
@pet333r Thank you for the update! I will probably install the update in a few days.. But I thank you in ADVANCE for giving option for gestures and buttons for swipe.. Regarding increased panel performance on A-10C CDU: I have an older Nexus 10 Tablet: On the F/A-18C I noticed a 1 to 1.5 second LAG between UFC and EFEI on my Monitor verses the DCS UFS Android App. I did not notice the same LAG with newer phones or Tables, but really did not pay much attention or trouble shoot further, because it was not a real problem for me. Would the performance updates you did on the A-10C improve other modules in future? MOVING Forward: I will install the latest update in a few days and see if there is anything more meaningful to add. At this point root cause of the LAG is the NEXUS109 Tablet.. Other newer tables are perfect! Cheers.

@greyeagle787 You will Enjoy DCS - great community - - If you are patient you will be rewarded - After you purchase your main peripheral's, and you have some money left in your budget you can check this out: Here is the Main DCS Forum Thread - the Developer @=Andre= is a regular participant. -
@Bergison That cool. I have not got mine working yet, but I place 100% fault on my "Potato" Setup. LoL. If I get a chance I will try 0.22 if not I can wait for your next release. Cheers..

Suggestions Try the options below: Make sure you unplug ALL other USB Flight Devices like Throttle and Flight Stick etc.. Do not plug in your Combat Rudder Pedals until prompted by setup program Run Setup program as administrator Try the Older version of Driver (I use this >> 7.0.47.1 see attachment) Pro_Flight_Combat_Rudder_Pedals_7_0_47_1_x64_Drivers.exe

Wow!! Nice.

Bump. Good luck in you sale I am sure it will go fast. I am in Canada and looking to purchase one from Audre's Shop in April. For others not familiar with the V1 JetSeat: Does V1 have 6 Motors or 8 Motors like the current models for sale?

After reading these threads and the YouTube reviews: I don't want THIS, I really NEED this! Import and duty Fees to Canada will be as high as $95. Yikes Hope l can find a way to tell my wife it is just a massage pad for the Herman Miller Aeron Office chair. Lol Has anyone ever put a sheepskin pad on top for that F-16 look? I think Andre is back from what looks like a working vacation by the weekend. I hope he is in a good mood and received lots of sales to what looks like an excellent product. Cheers.

competition ended DCS: P-47D Thunderbolt livery competition
YSIAD_RIP replied to BIGNEWY's topic in DCS: P-47 Thunderbolt
