  1. I'll have to try again. I did only last try it with the 2.7.11 patch but I doubt things would have changed and changed back again. My testing was pretty subjective using a track file but I was previously able to see smooth running on and off with this. Do you normally run with it enabled?
  2. Really? Hmm. I literally tried it a few times. Unless it wasn't activating for some reason. I used the one eye render "glitch" to check if it was enabled as I did occasionally test it on and off Do you think there is still a performance gain.
  3. @jojo I think this has had some work recently as basically all of last year I used to run it and had heat blur and flood lights in one eye also occasional large glitches. The glitches slowly disappeared and then this year the one eye rendering problem seemed to get fixed. However I also have now removed it from my config as I think DCS is running nicely in VR these days. It might be incorporated properly but something changed and I didn't want to mess it up with this "setting". I agree it would be great to get a bit of info as they clearly have been working on the way VR works.
  4. Sounds like a memory issue. Check for background apps and ensure pagefile is set correctly.
  5. Works for me in VR. I used it yesterday actually.
  6. If you run Nvidia you can set a per game fps cap in the control panel.
  7. I've been looking for this. I would assume so, but they have not said....
  8. I've not seen that chart before? Is that tracking the bug or is that realistic. Are we not supposed to use those channels?
  9. Good luck not touching the cyclic when you have to...err.... Touch the cyclic to press the trim. Yeah bind it somewhere else. Or you could just trim normally. It does work you know.
  10. But this doesn't save your new center and the first time you move the actual stick your inputs will be undone. Better just to learn the actual trim. Or not use it all all.
  11. Check user files...
  12. Good to know. I've tried using it once and didn't get it work. Most likely pilot error but I realised I had both set on, so file will be relavent anytime.
  13. You know there is a dropdown with a slider so you can fine tune the position of the time, sun and moon. It's pretty easy now.
  14. Anyone know if setting ICLS and ACLS on in the ME is correct or not. Do they conflict?
  15. Yeah you wouldn't fight it and would trim it out, but trim is only for a given scenario. I would think that a pattern/landing would be odd and any other kind of manoeuvres. Maybe only banking to the side with the tank is permitted? Maybe the FCS just compensates it out?
  16. Ah nice didn't see that. I'll give that a go. Should work well.
  17. If it's bound to the first detent won't it close again the second time you go to use the trigger? Otherwise that would be a great idea!
  18. I agree that DCS does need engine improvements to keep going but I have very different experience to yours. I find (VR) DCS runs pretty well and better than MSFS. However DCS does really struggle and drop significantly when there are lots of units placed down, especially lots of moving or shooting units, many radars, lots of weapons being deployed. This drains the CPU quickly and results in FPS tanking. However considering than none of these things are even possible in MSFS I cant see how changing sims would make it different.
  19. Think this is referred to as the "double ugly" allows for two tanks and clearer view on the side that carries the ATFLIR. Always seems odd to me and I'm sure it must feel odd. Seen it quite a few times on YT so I don't think its that unusual.
  20. Is the forrestal not too old for it anyway?
  21. Yeah I like punching them in too. I really like the boxes that you can bring up in the ME displaying all the different co-ordinates. Just missing the "save to kneeboard button"! I have had to screen clip them and then tile in Photoshop and save to png. Less fun.
  22. Bumping this thread to see if anyone knows any updates about this. Can it still be used? It used to increase performance at little, at the expense of some glitches along with cockpit floodlights and heat blur being rendered in one eye. Since 2.7.11 it would seem all one-eye problems are gone but I'm not sure if it's fixed or just incorporated in properly.
  23. Yes I know, mods are available. I just really want to be able to save co-ordinates in the ME to a kneeboard I think that should be really possible natively.
  24. Hmmm. Kneeboard requests thread... I have a feeling ED must be working on something here. But.. how about a kneeboard we can actually edit without going outside DCS. Or even just allowing something written in the mission editor to appear on the kneeboard. Like the briefing? Why is this only on the esc menu? Seems utterly nuts to me that for all the detail included in DCS, we still can't do this simple function. Working with co-ordinates requires a mod or... pen and paper (VR players excluded here)
